Cross is right, we are at D2 Vanilla, full circle, content doesn't matter, that's why the game is dying
Yes Bungie needs to address the upgrade economy , but that's no reason not to have progression, why do you think D2 players flocked to First Descendent, besides the attractive characters, they gave them the grind that D2 no longer offers , Bungie started listening to casuals who wanted everything dumbed down and watered down, so they can have everything playing 5 minutes a week, as someone who plays 5 days a week
I don't care anymore, Bungie will either keep the power band or remove it, it's 10 levels, doesn't matter to me either way, but its sad that players are so stuck in there routine , they freak out if it's changed, then complain they have nothing to do

It’s not progression. It’s regression. Since you can’t over level content, you simply become weak again every episode. The number just goes up to justify the upgrade modules. I’m fine either way, but I agree they need to address the upgrade economy.

3 OdpowiedziThis is why they should’ve been working on D3. It’s not the fact that we have to grind ten lvls that’s annoying, it’s the fact we have to do the same crap we’ve been doing for yrs and yrs to get the pinnacles. If we had a D3 and everything was new and different I’d be happy to grind my -blam!- off for power lvl.

2 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika The Hermit IX: 9/24/2024 6:32:13 PMHis point is that the community contradicts itself anymore. People just like to whine over everything and anything these days. 10 power levels is not a big deal. Kudos for Cross having a sack to say what needed to be said instead of making clickbait doom and gloom videos like most of the content creators. Theres a reason he’s top dog.

7 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika CookieNiki: 9/23/2024 8:22:43 PMNo one want the power level back again, period. It's not content, it's not competition, it's not achievement, it's just a boring, artificial way for Bungie inflate playtime. Players who defend this and like grinding just to make a number go up, have VERY LOW standards and that's the sole reason Bungie can get away with so little effort to make the game appealing and engaging.

Edytowany przez użytkownika Rickyboricua22: 9/23/2024 10:35:13 PMthe process of developing or moving gradually towards a more advanced state. That's a definition of progression chief. Now I will explain it to you Barney style since you don't seem to know what progression is. Let's say your dad gave you $5 last week and with that you were able to purchase a happy meal. Now this week your dad gives you $10, now you can purchase 2 happy meals ( you are in a more advanced or better state) Let's see now what you think what progression is but it's not: Your happy meal now costs $10, so your $5 won't cover the cost of the meal....now you need to have $10 to purchase the same happy meal you were able to purchase last week. ☝️ That's what the pinnacle grind is, gets you to where you were at the end of the previous season with nothing new to offer.

That’s crazy, you’d almost think an empty meaningless rng grind that resets every few months isn’t a real reason to play or substitute for actual content.

Cross’s take and yours is just bad. My god just the sheer amount of nonsense is appalling.

When the 10 power raising was removed last year, i didn't gave much of a care because, regardless of having it or not, every activity in the game now caps you at least -5 of power. If before the grinding was to get powerful again and then face the endgame activities on par or overleveled, now you just can't. Witch Queen year was good at balancing because the only activities capped there were GMs and the legendary campaign, specifically designed to be so.

1 Odpowiedźadding a grind to the power level isn't engaging whatsoever. Those who raid regularily and play the game will continue to do so and casuals again will feel the wrath of bungies decision. Pissing off the casuals to the point of quitting doesn't help any playlist or the health of any of the game. I personally don't care one bit however, never being able to overlevel while we get a power grind of 10 levels just feels bad after all the bluster of removing it.

Inventory management, then I'm cool. And I'm speculating, but once the upgrades to enhancement goes live... I think that will be reflected in the engrams. Pinnacle drops will probably be further along in the enhancement progression. To incentivize pinnacle pursuits even after you hit cap. I'd keep grinding for those drops if they could be multiperk'd...if they could drop with 1-2 columns fully enhanced.
