These answers show a massive disconnect with your own content
These responses basically defending light fall and the terrible story pacing and lack luster campaign is not what people needed to hear. The absolute disconnect between this and what players expected and wanted out of the campaign and seasonal content in my opinion means Bungie corporate should really reconsider who's making these decisions.
If final shape is more of the same destiny 2 is going to lose a huge chunk of players after final shape lands, the sunken cost fallacy won't transfer to a new saga.

Typical Bungie. Defending laziness and scummy practices while refusing to shoulder any responsibility whatsoever. I feel bad for the devs. I personally wouldn’t wanna be working in this game at this point given what an embarrassment it is in nearly every area (I.e. sandbox design/balancing, narrative, and especially monetization). I’m beyond disappointed with Bungie. They KNOW they can do better but just don’t.

3 OdpowiedziEven when there was a rough patch in d2, I had that FOMO which kept me playing, now I don't even have that. I could care less about a new exotic scout rifle, what really gets me, is what bungie mentioned about "overdelivering" on content and setting the bar too high. I could understand where there coming from, if this was a few years ago in shadowkeep days, keeping the bar low to amaze us when the final parts of the light and dark saga of d2 was coming to a close, like it is now, lightfall was a brilliant opportunity to show us how intense the stakes are, to finally answer the burning questions the community and Byf has had, and to show us what to expect moving forward with the destiny franchise, but we had to have core elements of the story that should have been included in the lightfall campaign, explained in a seasonal story cutscene, which if you only bought lightfall and not the seasonal pass with it, lol good luck getting those answers. They have shown through there actions that , as bad as Activision was, they have become worse. I regret pre-ordering lightfall and everything that comes with it. Kid you not, around an hour ago I logged in, sat in orbit for about a minute before I got so disinterested and logged back off. There's no drive, no reason to log in, because on top of everything else, I feel like I'm walking on eggshells, like "are the servers good now? Can I play?" Game isn't uninstalled yet, but man, it's tempting to click delete at this point

These answers sound like something the management & devs tells themselves to cope while the community voices their discontent on the story narrative direction & general concern that it seems like this franchise has been abandoned & the content is soulless. From S17- present, you can tell the talented devs and resources are over at the other IP.

Never had a story blow me away so I don't really expect it anywhere. What I will say about story telling in general is that anything that goes for a long period needs these cliffhangers and unanswered questions for awhile to keep people coming back. I get it. Generally if people feel a story is adequately tied and feels conclusive enough they really are much less likely to engage much further. Where this game is at right now Bungie probably [b]needs[/b] to have cliffhangers and unanswered story just so they don't dive into ruin. They'd lose so many people. Their programming skills seem like they go as far as design and basics. When it comes to functionality, they're almost novice level, it feels. It has smoothe mechanics, that feel very good. I love Solar helicopter Warlock, its like butter, but the awful perk descriptions that don't give accurate ideas of functionality are a turnoff to buildcrafting more, and the bugs ruin everything that should be fun or interesting. Its insane. I can't believe [b][i]any[/i][/b] professional organization would allow this kind of bullsh*t nonsense to basically [b]be[/b] the business model. The only other games I can think of that come close to the dysfunction of Destiny is anything Bethesda, but even they actually fixed things in the game when they really needed it. Bungie just doesn't care at all. They need those story elements. They're just not very good. Hard to believe how respected and celebrated this derelict company once was.

3 OdpowiedziAlthough I've uninstalled the game I still read the comments on this forum regarding the poor shape of the game. Why would the drip feed of narrative be of any interest when the game is not fun to play? A large section of players really don't give a damn and feel ripped off by Bungie, vowing not to give them another penny.

2 OdpowiedziWe’re years into the seasonal model, the time for experimenting has long passed. Main story should not be dependent on the seasons. Seasonal activities should have nothing to do with the main story, they should only be useless filler for people that feel the need to play the game as a job.

1 OdpowiedźI think the fact that we're this close to the end and they're "experimenting" with how they're telling stories is a horrible idea. We're nearing the pay off of 10 years of gameplay and yet we still don't even know that much and now if they continue with this design the final shape isn't looking good narratively. If they pull this stunt again in final shape and don't outright give us answers and try to sprinkle it into seasons afterwards Im sure is going to cause the same issues we have now

The number one thing players need to understand is that Bungie does not care about what their player base wants. They have a specific plan and agenda and that is what they are going to stick to. It has always been this way and always will be. If you can recognize this and choose to ignore it, the game becomes much more fun. If you have a problem with this, you're only going to be miserable.

Wait for the discount they’re going to give on Light Fall next season when they start selling Final Shape. I bet all you want that a bundle like: buy final shape, get lightfall for free or something like this will be done to tap into the summer holiday niche and get some momentum ahead of the big final push. Bungie have no interest whatsoever in this year, they’re working on selling next expansion already.

How about those vendor refreshes.... They have and will continue to say what they feel they need to in order to keep the funds flowing in the door here which they are using to build their future..... which is not this game.

All it's done is piss me off, the story in Witch Queen was top tier. I left during Forsaken and came back in September 2022. The story was (f'en)amazing, really well written, and I understood what I had just played through. Lightfall drops, and makes me sad I spent 141 Canadian to be confused about the storyline. Then pissed off, because all the YouTubers were like: wtf was this? This story sucked!
