You've completely missed the mark.
The issue was not enhancement materials but the exotic drop rate.
This is almost as bad as throwing a spike grenade at a wall you are taking cover behind right before placing an energy drain at your feet.

4 OdpowiedziBungie: Oh man, we totally forgot to mention how we will increase rewards in relation to difficulty. You know all those things that go to your postmaster because you constantly have max stacks in your inventory, and those things in the vendor rewards that you claim after you deleted one of them from inventory so you can claim the exotic and reset vendor rank? Yeah, we are increasing the drop rates on those. Can we get a thank you?

2 OdpowiedziOf course they have… they don’t listen to the excellent suggestions is casuals make on here… they listen to no life streamers who’s job it is to play the game…. Noticed many streamer sheep hijacking comment threads

4 OdpowiedziSo glad I’m retiring from this game. It is amazing that people are defending Bungie when they are delivering zero new strikes, zero new Gambit maps, and only one new Crucible map in lightfall. The worst part is you’ll be running the same old tired stuff with “increased difficulty” and same seasonal grind with some QOL improvements that people have been asking about for years. They have destroyed Destiny.

4 OdpowiedziYeah its literally gobsmacking how they can be this out of sync with the community. It's exotics droprates for LLS. It's nightfall weapon droprates for NFs. For the latter, the maximum difficulty on offer with matchmaking hasn't been increased past Heroic. Heroic like LLS perhaps, offers barely 1 in 10 runs chance for one drop by my estimation. That increases exponentially if any said randoms skip any Champion, effectively reducing droprates further. It's very realistic to say you can spend hours each night, every night, for a whole week, and see no where NEAR your choice of Godroll...in an NON-ADEPT version. It's now been made much harder. No declared increase in any droprates. Except enhancement cores - UPDATE!! Looking at my stacks of 999 cores, 10 Ascendant mats, etc... whoopdedoo Bungie you didn't get the community feedback at all. (Nor is artificial difficulty what's needed but game content and strategic innovation challenges - but that's another topic.)

4 OdpowiedziMax prisms. Max shards. Over 2000 cores. Help me this does not. High stat armor rolls would be enticing.
-
2 OdpowiedziYeah.. they didn’t forget to mention it either, it’s obvious they just threw that together in response to the backlash.
-
I laughed when I read it. Tone deaf. Sure would be nice if we could have unique strike armor pieces back. Guess that'd be over delivery now days.

Edytowany przez użytkownika CordovaLark: 2/23/2023 10:01:24 PMToday's TWAB was clearly edited to try and quell the shitstorm they released earlier. So much so they did it in a rush as usual.
-
Naw, I'm good with it. I am literally overloaded with guns and armor every time I play. More prisms and cores sounds good to me.
-
2 OdpowiedziI’m actually fine with it. Personally I wish exotics felt like what they did in destiny 1. I want to be excited when I see an exotic drop. For being the highest rarity weapon/armor type, exotics aren’t very rare. I normally get 2-3 exotic drops per day grinding easy content. If you wanna grind for exotics try doing GM. You get 1-2 per run. They even made GM strikes easier so casuals like me can actually do them. I understand what you are saying wanting better rewards, but I feel increasing exotic drop rates do not hit the mark. They could try and have certain activities have increased high stat armor drops.
-
1 OdpowiedźThe bigger problem is their need to use the playerbase as a test environment. They plan to take a pass at RNG drops, but not until they see how the difficulty spike plays in the real world. Can’t they beta test some of this stuff with NDA’s and then release stuff mostly baked? Would be nice. I like the buff to core, prism, and shard drops. That will help people with developing their builds for end game.
-
It's like Bungle is bipolar stupid. They supposedly collect all these statistics on the game, but refuse to look at them before opening their mouths and making themselves look like fools. All they had to do is look at the amount of materials left in the Post Master and how full are inventories are and they'd know this was not what we needed. And why are they not allowing us to have larger stacks for materials?
-
“Weak^ss Rewards”. I would rather have more Exotic drop while trying to get that perfect status roll!!! but 1 or 2 materials drop rate increases :/ more like a cold slap in the face.
-
Considering EVERYTHING in the game is going to cost enhancement cores and prisms, it’s safe to assume it’s a good reward change. Not sure the issue there. They’ve also stated they are working on a means to have the exotics drops dip more into the core playlists rather then solely Lost Sectors

And they also announced a new way to get new exotics.
-
4 OdpowiedziI get an exotic nearly every run for a master nightfalls. Even better on double nightfall rewards. Exotic drop rates are fine where they currently are.
-
5 Odpowiedzi"They are here to stay". The message is clear. The firm middle finger in our faces is there and is not going anywhere. All discussion is pointless.
-
I would agree that these updates are weird. I'm drowning in enhancement prisms, and since I won't need multiple elemental armor sets now, I won't really spend any, or not on a regular basis. Same with Ascendant Shards as well. They already drop like candy in GMs, with nothing to spend them on, since I'm not getting any good exotic armor rolls. All these materials are useless already. I think cores will be used in crafting though, right? Beyond that, the rewards are not enticing

3 OdpowiedziBungie: "Oh no, the hardcore want harder content at the upper levels! And our poor poor casuals, they can't keep up with our economy! Whatever can we do...? I know, let's make the casual content harder, and sprinkle some more currency in there! Added difficulty and extra mats, it's a win win for everyone!" I'd like to think they meant well and just flubbed it up but this is so backwards...

2 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika Sleep_Leveling: 2/24/2023 2:20:57 AM
You've completely missed the mark.
Of course they’ve completely missed the mark. They are clueless of their own game and out of touch from their playerbase. They have no clue how to make games now. They just installed a resistance level on your hamster wheel just like that cardio machine that you use when you work out in the gym. Now they can control and raise the resistance level on your hamster wheel. Hahahahahahaha! Talk about NOT overdelivering, so they decided to tweak their old strikes and lost sectors. It’s like changing the wheel to your hamster wheel and also adding resistance level to it again, but you’re still running the same hamster wheel for over 5 years now. The same hamster wheel with new resistance level like that cardio machine in your gym, only it’s an old hamster wheel. Hahahahahahaha! What a game! Hahahahahahaha! There is nothing here. Welcome to hollowness!

3 OdpowiedziExotics already drops like candy. You'll be fine

1 OdpowiedźI've been capped on upgrade materials for two seasons, there aren't enough exotics dropping to give me anything to spend them on in the first place. That aspect alone should be a clue as to what needs to change. Even as casual as I am that means most people are probably in the same spot as me. If anything that clarification just makes this worse, it proves how out of touch they are.
-
You've completely missed the mark. The issue was not enhancement materials but the exotic drop rate. This is almost as bad as throwing a spike grenade at a wall you are taking cover behind right before placing an energy drain at your feet.
Preach. Huge Bump.
-
Exotic drops are fine. It's just the lack of a good target farm
-
Edytowany przez użytkownika Vortex: 2/24/2023 8:41:10 AMIt's still a big shitstorm, throwing upgrading material is the same as nothing when you still need to do the same content 1000x to maybe get a decent roll.

They forgot to mention the rewards for the normal vanguard ops. Seems like we are back to the “2 tokens and a blue” debacle again. Makes me think they forgot to mention those rewards for a reason…
