Im not talking about the population. Destinys spirit is gone.
This game used to be an experience. It was enjoyable casually or harcore. It was full of surprises and discovery. The characters were unique and memorable.
But recently, its become nothing more than a seasonal hamster wheel.
Do these bounties
Fill out this grid of bonuses
Complete the seasonal path
Grind for another godroll of the same guns with a different skin
Its groundhog day, every day and has been for a while.
Bleh....
I dunno exactly when it happened, but this game has lost its soul. What you're playing is just a cash pump.
Worst of all, I doubt bungie has the chops (or even the will) to do better.
And so, I'm calling it. Game is dead. Its over. Zip up the bag before it starts to stink any worse.

17 OdpowiedziThis is what corporate greed ends up as, Every. Single. Time. Reduce costs and increase revenue. A player's opinion is moot.

1 OdpowiedźLiterally came back and was really impressed with how great it is. But, your opinion is your opinion.

Edytowany przez użytkownika BOSSNONO254: 10/31/2022 4:25:48 PMNot gonna lie, my actual “awe” experience was left behind during forsaken days. Don’t get me wrong, the game is still fun and interesting. But it just doesn’t have the spirit it used to have. It’s not me missing nostalgia either, it’s just missing what made Destiny the game it was in the first place.

2 OdpowiedziBungie is clearly done with the game creatively. They are too busy working on other projects. With how destiny 2 is and how they have handled it, there is no hope for their future projects.
-
5 OdpowiedziIt's not dead, but it does feel like both Bungie and The Community could use a fresh start Destiny 3 has never been more needed
-
1 OdpowiedźAgree 100%. Destiny 2 has become a glorified slot machine with a list of annoying weekly chores.
-
4 OdpowiedziThe guns aren’t unique anymore. Try to look at all the seasonal guns really closely and you’ll notice that even the newest ones are reskins. The Haunted Shotgun is literally hawthorns

For me, the game lost it's magic after the Rise of Iron. I wasn't even going to buy Destiny 2. The only reason I played it is because friend of mine is sharing his account with me and he buys it all. I only needed to buy the seasons. Otherwise I would've quit at the end of D1.

20 Odpowiedzi
I dunno exactly when it happened, but this game has lost its soul. What you're playing is just a cash pump.
For me, it happened right after Activision left. Game became empty. It was also broken after D2 launched, and is still broken now. So yeah, you are correct. Game has lost its soul because it is broken and empty. Haha!🤣

I think the game "died" along with Cayde. The game lost something special when it lost Cayde and it never found anything to fill in that void. The Seasonal model has become nothing more than a boring rinse and repeat of the exact same thing with a fresh coat of touch up paint. The story telling has been ok, but its delivery is not engaging at all. Do a short mission and then get the rest of the story by listening to a kiosk or reading a lore book. I have been steadily loosing interest in the game for a long time now, but it wasn't until this season where I started to simply not care anymore. I used to play all three characters regularly, but this season I have only played my alts long enough to pick up clan engrams and get the first VoD chest for a chance at red borders. I have taken my warlock through KF only because I already had the armor on my hunter and I like the warlock helmet. I used to PvP quite a bit with a few friends, but I can't even bring myself to log in for that anymore. Unless there is a major shift in the game to make it special again Lightfall will be my last expansion (yeah, I regret pre-ordering) as I can get the remaining story from the YouTubers. Its sad really, considering I have played since House of Wolves.

1 OdpowiedźI played only for 9 months and have gotten tired. I'm taking a break till next season mostly. I was going for Scallywag until the latest repute req... I ain't doing 15 expeditions more and killing more ruffians. I'm not gonna run a single one no more.
-
Possibly the worst cash pump ever. Cheapest hobby I've ever had.
-
The unbalanced mess this game is, is the reason it's fun to play.
-
My friend, it‘s been like thar for a looooooooooong while.

Don’t get me wrong, the game is still fun and interesting. But it just doesn’t have the spirit it used to have. It’s not me missing nostalgia either, it’s just missing what made Destiny the game it was in the first place. A lot of games now want to implement content or mechanics similar to other games that have been released. I mean just look at Halo. It’s growing to be more COD than Halo, and I can already see how that’s a red flag right there. There’s just isn’t a lot of originality with many games out there anymore. Maybe it’s time that effects the games, or maybe it’s just lack of idealism and imagination, but who knows?…

It’s funny and weird at the same time that there are people commenting on every post here getting upset at other peoples dissatisfaction with the game

19 OdpowiedziCOD MW2 released yesterday and once you play some pvp that works, you will never come back to this broken game. 5 years and over 6000 hrs and I can finally see the truth, Bungie sucks at making games work.

Edytowany przez użytkownika Unbreakable Patches: 10/30/2022 10:18:54 PM
something something nostalgia
D1 was a barely even a game until the very end of its lifetime. D2 started off rough as hell too but it’s been in a solid spot for a while now.

We are guided we can help each other give a wave.
-
No its exactly the same as it ever was Bounty was always there Funny thing is actually we get more to do/grind for than before You are forcing yourself to play when you don't want to and that's the issue Back then you could be done with "season" way faster because the weekly checklist was way more small The game just added more stuff and you try to play the exact same way
-
Edytowany przez użytkownika A_mo: 10/30/2022 2:13:54 PMWhat do you think seasonal content should consist of? If you're going to be playing the same game every day all year you're probably going to be doing the same or similar things quite a bit.

Oh no random guy said them game is dead well see you never everyone
