Just give Warlocks a real DPS option with Nova Lance already
Since warlock void seems to be our "go too" and best subclass. Just give us a dps super option with an exotic that makes Nova bomb its Lance version from D1. Only have it grant a void oversheild on hit for additional functionality. Also make it so the shield increases in strength up to 3x, 1 stack for each target hit, guardians count as x2 stacks.
You could stop all the warlock arc and solar whining AND give warlocks a much needed dps option to help them compete with titans and hunters.
Void might as well be the end all be all lol. I'm not expecting much creativity for solar and arc from you so....yea lol throw us this bone will you Bungie?

2 OdpowiedziI am a warlock main and i think we dont need to change anything. Sure it would be great to have more dps but not in void more in arc because void is for debuff and survability. Arc is dsp and mouvement

10 OdpowiedziHaving a self heal option on every class in the game is the penance here. P.S. Nova isnt great for dps? It’s a fast animation super with very decent burst damage. Allowing for quick switch weapon damage. And you still have a healing or empowering rift to help. Warlock is not weak by any means.

Tickle fingers also needs a damage buff. At this moment chaos reach with geomags is still worse than base blade barrage and tickle fingers does like less than half the amount of damage compared to arcstrider. Arclocks need a buff and they need it bad!

2 OdpowiedziI would only personally marginally buff Nova Bomb and Chaos Reach damage. I typically rock heavy weapon DPS w/ Stasis shard buffs rather than Void but I wonder how strong slowva with weakening vortex grenades do in terms of damage... Might try that later

They should just change skull so that it increases damage. Same with shards for hunter and bb as well.

1 OdpowiedźIt won't stop complaints from us warlock mains about solar and arc because solar and arc will still be doodoo until they rework them for the real warlock 3.0. Dawnblade is still crap and Well being a "must" does not equal fun, it makes everything boring if you're a warlock stuck on support because you have no other option. Likewise with arc, DPS with Chaos Reach is lower than Gathering Storm and Thundercrash with Cuirass because they're instant DPS + weapon DPS while Chaos Reach takes the whole DPS phase to do its merger damage.

2 OdpowiedziI mean can't yah debuff the enemy with the void soul or a grenade than nova for some more damage? Your guys class is generally centered around neutral play. Spamming grenades and melees. If anything you should get am exotic like stareater scales

4 OdpowiedziGive warlocks an exotic to convert their chaos reach damage into an electric javelin that you can throw and stick an enemy with. I only say this because it would be easier than fixing damage numbers/ reworking a whole new super. Also the super wouldn't take up a whole damage phase and after thrown you can immediately go back to DPS. Or Give the chaos reach extended exotic an extra debuff. Like while chaos reach is damaging a combatant all arc weapons gain a .XX damage multiplier.

3 OdpowiedziBungie should just overhaul the skull of ahamkara that became pure trash tier after the nerf. If bungie feels exotics that grants super on kills are so OP then I rather they overhaul the exotic to still grant that damage resist and change the nova bombs to lance but also grants the perk annihilation which was a void warlock perk in D1 that increased the size of the nova bomb by an extra 3-5 meters. This wouldn’t break the exotic since it only works when a super is used and considering how little we get supers now a days, the exotic should be a powerhouse for pve
