Like for real. It's the first week after contest mode and the biggest D2 LFG discord on a friday night and during the day on saturday is completely dead. Almost as dead as the garden LFG was 2 years after it came out.
So what do the elitists say now? Mechanic heavy raids for the regular player are the way to go? I guess not. Never seen less interest in a raid in D2 anymore since year 1. Usually you can't copy the join code fast enough from LFG posts because of the post spam during the first 4-5 weeks of a new raid, this time theres like 1 post every 2 minutes LOL.
This one turned off soo many players with its constant time crunches, different specific roles, wipe mechanics on anything, 27 symbols with different callouts from every group.
This is just not the right community for raids like this. And i stand by that. Catering to content creators ruins this game.

Edytowany przez użytkownika chickengoujohn93: 3/13/2022 4:25:13 PMThere’s literally a post every 5 seconds on Fireteams of this very app for the new Raid. LFG.net died a long time ago when finding players became streamlined on this app. If people want major change, they need to start voting with their wallets. No point pre-ordering Lightfall Digital Deluxe Season Pass wombo combo six month prior to release if you are unhappy with the raiding experience or game in general.

This is so not true lol. Lfg for raids using the app is alive and well. It's easy to find a group. As for the raid itself: it's not hard. The hardest thing about the raid is figuring out what you going to call the symbols lol. That's why as soon as you start a raid, in the symbol room, take time to go over every symbol and what they will be called. It makes it so much easier when actually in there.

4 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika Sage: 3/13/2022 11:14:52 AMWhen games cater to toxic casuals- who feel entitled to endgame content- the game tends to lose a lot of quality. If people want to raid, they gotta jump through the hoops me and a lot of others did. You are not entitled to endgame. Earn it. Also- it is nice seeing D1 vets who gatekept me from raids before struggle in these easy raids in D2. "Too mechanic heavy, too complex," meanwhile i sit here and laugh and get my clears. Nice to see them get a taste of their own medicine.

4 OdpowiedziIt's not the raid, it's the player base which has changed a lot since the launch of this franchise. The game is not in a spot where it was long time ago. All the raids like VoG, TDB, KF, etc were made for a different gaming arena. Yes, the raid is mechanic heavy. Yes, it may have a slightly steeper learning curve. This would all have been fine if Destiny had retained the hard core gamers and its fan club from day 1. The lfg posts are a much more toxic playground now becuase you will not find too many destiny fans in there. People just getting the game things done are playing this game now. This is not how it used to be but it is now due to the fact thay Bungie has burned a lot of good people out of this game. I raid with people I know, lfg has always been a gambit IMHO. You get angels sometimes and other time you get the devil's father. This raid has put off a lot of angels. I don't see the regular sherpas investing in it anymore as it is a steep investment with little or no return because players don't stick around in this game too long anymore. The general interest on this game is declining and there are much better games our there now so this is just not a fun game to be grinding which is why people don't play it for fun anymore.

Agreed just beat it first time in about 1.5-2 hours and will not be doing it again it’s ridiculously boring just shooting symbols….
-
I see plenty of posts across the various fireteam apps/sites but the one they they all have in common is the requirement you have already completed it and/or know the mechanics. No-one appears to want to raid with Virgins of that particular raid.
-
I've only did it once but was pretty easy. But I also don't raid much because people can be pretty bad.

4 OdpowiedziI stopped doing raids years ago. I found that once I had done a raid once I had no desire to do it again just to be disappointed by the loot. And I simply can’t cope with instructions yelled at me down a mic which are vague and unhelpful. Eg ‘Follow Joe’ … ‘Which one is Joe?’ ‘That one’ ‘Yeah, I don’t know who you are so I don’t know where you are looking or pointing’ ‘Over there’ ‘Where?’ And so on. Don’t have the energy for it anymore.
-
You’re gonna have to do more than just face roll some ads for the highest tier loot, oh the humanity!
-
Good. More raids like this then. The D2 community is so whiny.
-
1 OdpowiedźYou know why? Because it's extremely heavy in mechanics and when people do it once they think there pro and next you know you see posts like must know what to do and have 2 , 3 or 4 clears bull s""$#. I have to say, I'm not really a big fan of this raid ether
-
Console had 1950 lfg threads for it in the first few days seemed to be doing ok even now I'm seeing quite a few posts in lfg for completions Most of us who have been raiding since D1 dont mind it tho and have enjoyed the encounters Not going to please everyone as we have seen on these forums

As they should be raids are meant to be mechanic heavy hence why they can't have matchmaking raids
-
• Normal mode Raids should be like around Deep Stone difficulty • Master Mode should kicks the difficulty through the roof
-
Just learn the mechanics and gain experience. You will be rewarded with some of the best legendary weapons we have had in a while. You can’t get another legendary stasis fusion, a chain reaction arc wave frame, a 4 burst 450 arc pulse (w/100 range), and a solar glaive.

31 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika NYDIBS: 3/13/2022 5:54:47 AMThe raid looks nice, it’s nicely wrapped. But when you unwrap it, it’s just a pile of -blam!-. I like the more casual raids, VoG before the changes, Crota, DSC… all among my favorite raids. I personally think Destiny thrives when it caters to the more casual base bc ultimately it’s the social aspect of the game that makes it fun Who wants to call out symbols for an hour instead of just chilling and laughing with their friends while shooting -blam!-

22 OdpowiedziVow is just simply not fun to play; and that's the bottom line.
-
I agree, I never did any raid because of this. Bungie just needs to turn matchmaking with some requirements.
-
19 Odpowiedzihonestly, the only real problem I have is the amount of symbols. like 25 is too many, my team can't even decide what we want to call the darkness symbol, I can't imagine lfg teams doing the same callouts. from what I remember lfging vog people couldn't agree on aethon oracle callouts. I feel if you don't have a usual raid team of clan, lfg is going to be a pain. not to mention that 3rd encounter requires a lot of coordination with everything that needs to happen. haven't tried boss yet, but so far 3rd encounter was the only part that I thought was needlessly complicated.

8 OdpowiedziNot to mention since day 1 all LFG posts have said KWTD. Which Bungie you can try to blame the community for it but fact is there is so many mechanics and symbols, no one wants to teach. Personally I don't want to ever teach the new raid, but if someone wanted something like DSC or Vault, sure why not? The raid is a bit much. I like a challenge but I also play to kill bad guys, not play puzzles.
-
I agree. The raid is also boring. The only real exciting part of the raid was the last boss. Thats it. i really dont understand the praise this raid is getting. I personally think raids should be more like wrath if the machine or leviathan. Whats even worse is that we might be getting kings fall back. Imagine what Bungie will do with that raid
-
Issue with creativity? Slam a symbol mechanism. Problem solved

1 OdpowiedźAbsolutely. I wouldn't care but as usual there are not quite pay-to-win but raid-to-win promotions. Currently the only legendary kinetic slot Fusion for example. The travesty is that
Catering to content creators ruins this game
this kind of feedback, indeed much of the feedback of the entire official Bungie Feedback Forum is ignored. What ISN'T ignored is endless Twitter communications between 'content creators', of whom they ridiculously term as 'leaders' ! Their gaming is catered to, indeed PAID FOR, by Bungie over their actual customers.
