D2 LFG for the new raid is completely dead. Theres your outcome for mechanic heavy raids.
Like for real. It's the first week after contest mode and the biggest D2 LFG discord on a friday night and during the day on saturday is completely dead. Almost as dead as the garden LFG was 2 years after it came out.
So what do the elitists say now? Mechanic heavy raids for the regular player are the way to go? I guess not. Never seen less interest in a raid in D2 anymore since year 1. Usually you can't copy the join code fast enough from LFG posts because of the post spam during the first 4-5 weeks of a new raid, this time theres like 1 post every 2 minutes LOL.
This one turned off soo many players with its constant time crunches, different specific roles, wipe mechanics on anything, 27 symbols with different callouts from every group.
This is just not the right community for raids like this. And i stand by that. Catering to content creators ruins this game.

I've played every raid in D1 and D2, and this is by far the best raid to date. The boss is literally like an MMO raid boss. Not sure why people are so intimidated by the mechanics, they literally show you the official symbol names at the beginning of the raid in one of the rooms (if you stand close to them they show up under your radar). The only encounter most groups seem to struggle with is the relic encounter but that's just add-clear, coordinating who goes where and not falling off in the last room. I really hope Bungie makes more raids like this in the future.

So you want bungie to make endgame content for players that can barely run strikes? I swear, the same people that somehow can't wrap their mind around these mechanics are the same people crying about the legend campaign being too hard. I don't even raid that much and Vow is incredibly easy. Some of yall are just bad and don't want to admit it.

I didn't have this experiance. The clear I got yesterday was with a really good and friendly people that I didn't know while I couldn't get it done with my clan and ended up leaving it because we could'nt work together yet I got it done and learned from complete strangers. I feel it was a heavy and challenging raid but its honestly endgame its not for new lights and those who don't have a pve sense and this is coming from me of all people a pvp main. Its a good raid and with the right team you can get it done keep at it man you'll find that team. You deserve the win but only if you are willing to keep at it.

Before typing this, there was 40 individual groups looking for people for VOD…. With those 4 groups created in the last 60 seconds. Of those 40 groups, 5 said “kwtd”. Five. Many we’re asking for sherpas. And surprisingly many were looking for people that literally haven’t done the raid. Not really sure what your intent was behind this post but it’s clearly not remotely accurate. All the best.

36 OdpowiedziIf what you’re saying is true and people think this is too difficult, then I’m not sure what these folks were expecting from end-game PVE content. End-game. Biggest challenge. Will be tougher than strikes and on par with, or perhaps tougher than, GM nightfalls. Will have mechanics. That’s not new to raids. For this one, I think it’s a bit of an overreaction. While there’s 27 symbols, the majority are different enough that even new gamer can describe it and say what it is. There’s like 4-5 that may be confused with each other. I’ve done a few runs with 2-3 people each that we had to teach, and of course- they didn’t prep or watch any videos ahead of time. Each time we cleared, in under or around 3 hours, with plenty of wipes. I think the main “difference” with this raid is the majority of encounters need the entire team to participate and folks that like to sit in the back and add clear only and not really try are getting exposed.

3 OdpowiedziNothing wrong with Vow mostly. It's the 3rd encounter that kills most runs. Mechanically it's the most fun I've had in a raid in a long time. If I was to ever ask Bungie to alter anything in the raid itself. I'd say remove the taken blight ball mechanic from the 3rd encounter. Aside from that it's a damn good and fun raid.

I honestly just use the Bungie app for a Fireteam. I don't have any issues from it.

I like the way the raids set up I just think the loot looks like -blam!- so I am a bit meh about it all I haven't finished it and to be honest I don't really care to

4 OdpowiedziThe easier raids, namely vog and DSC in this game, are honestly just really boring. Stand near objective and shoot red health bar, then instakill mid-boss. Kingsfall was mechanics heavy, and a lot of people regard it as the best raid. This raid isn't even particularly hard, you just have to be able to either look at a chart with names or be able to quickly and accurately describe colors and shapes, then have literally 6 people be able to remember up to 3 callouts.

Blaming a tiny, tiny proportion of the player base for something you don't like seems incredibly shortsighted. Personally I find this raid fairly easy in terms of mechanics. People are letting themselves be intimidated by there being 26 symbols. You passively learn them as you go and really it's not a big deal. EDIT - all the downvotes for people speaking up to say they like the raid makes this entire thread kind of a lol. Like, how DARE someone like it? Pfffffffft.

Got to admit though, the final fight is pretty sweet, and fun tbh. It’s getting to that point which feels slightly torturous for a lot of ppl. I also enjoy the caretaker encounter.

i blame the garbage raid exotic same story for crown of sorrow there's no reason to farm the raid other then transmog, some new weapons with a cute perk that become irrelevant after a season and the raid exotic witch again is trash after raid mods were locked into raid that pretty much made em irrelevant, so much so i be willing to bet only taken mods see play in last wish, even then probably just armaments xD

It’s an interesting raid. The backdrops are freakin awesome. I opted to give the raid a whirl because I’ve always been a big lover of raids in destiny. After the first week of witch queen, I got hella burned out so I kinda dropped it. Came back just to experience the raid. It seems confusing at first, but you eventually get the hang/flow of things. But I’ll agree, waaaaayyy to many symbols. Like I didn’t expect to have to basically learn a new alphabet to get through it haha but it isn’t so bad if you have others that can understand what you’re trying to describe. I just love that the boss freaking yeets you to Narnia with his thunder thighs 😂

IMO raids should be designed with the entire player base in mind. One would figure if Bungie likes showing numbers as they do they would lean towards getting actual feedback from the community, and not just mainly from a very small percentage of the players base. That last part is more of a problem then some would care to admit with most of D2, and it's unfair to the community that just a hand full of players have way more say then the rest of the entire player base. It doesn't matter how much "experience" some players have, their opinion does not apply to the entire player base, but some have this weird thought process that it does. As long as Bungie keeps catering to their free advertisement, not much will change. I know this as most should, and it's part of the reason I have no desire to touch any of the raids.

LFG.net died a long time ago when finding players became streamlined on this app. If people want major change, they need to start voting with their wallets. No point pre-ordering Lightfall Digital Deluxe Season Pass wombo combo six month prior to release if you are unhappy with the raiding experience or game in general.
