This is not so much a rant but me talking about what I hope for (like most people)
If weapon crafting is anything like armor 2.0, I hope we can be able to pull the base weapon from our collection once we unlock its newest version.
Think about it, more people are going to hop on to come up with different weapon builds. Say somebody makes a video highlighting a certain weapon but the viewers watching don’t have the grind time/materials to unlock an rng based weapon. Giving players less time to farm world drops or even Meta weapons in and pray to RNG will save so much time for players who don’t play this full time. I love the idea of seamlessly exploring different builds without the hassle of burning out the players.
Hopefully we finally get a chance to build and craft without grinding so much to simply experiment. But I also hope that once we unlock the weapon archetype that we can eventually pull from our collection to save time and vault space.
I know they said they will introduce other versions of weapons to craft down the road. I strongly encourage Bungie to unlock the possibility to weapon craft every weapon as soon as possible. Even sunset weapons from vanilla D2 (EXCEPT PINNACLE WEAPONS!) Hopefully this new weapon system will make pinnacles obsolete anyway. Giving every weapon the opportunity to be strong will naturally level the sandbox IMO. I may not be right but in theory it sounds reasonable.
I remember during shadow keep Bungie was encouraging us to make our own super killing machines. I see weapon crafting as a stepping stone in the right direction. I’m trying not to get my hopes up too high because I don’t want to get disappointed. Hopefully they see this and make it easy to craft weapons from collections once we have unlocked the base weapon in our collection.

I am excited to try it out

1 OdpowiedźYeah just one more month till we see if it's actually weapon crafting like where you pick the frame then the barrel, the mag, and the perks also the mw If it actually that and it lets us pick the weapons we already acquired and edit them that would be awesome imagine having black armory weapons back with new perks that we can edit. Or in worst case scenario it will be just more umbral engram farming/weapon perk selection I really hope its not cause its getting old

4 OdpowiedziI hope weapon crafting is something like this… You want to create your god roll (insert weapon name here). You have it drop but with 1 of the 9 options that make up a weapon that would make up your god roll. (2x barrels/scopes, 2x mag perks, 2x column 1 2x column 2 and the masterwork perk we have now) You go to where you craft the weapon and you ‘sacrifice’ that weapon to start your god roll and in doing so, you take 1 perk from the sacrificed weapon and it is on your weapon ‘frame’ (kill clip in column 2 for example). That’s were you start ‘crafting’. With each drop of said weapon, you can sacrifice it and take 1 perk from it and add it to you frame until your frame is complete. Then your grind begins for true mastery. You use the basic frame with no perks unlocked (just like D1). Once you have all the perks unlocked, it becomes masterworked. This means the stats bump up just like on Adept weapons right now (plus 2/5 to things like range, stability etc as well as the plus 10 to the masterwork option we have now) Hope this made sense. Ask questions if you want clarity on anything.

We’re only crafting like 5 weapons at the launch of Witch Queen. They’ll add more weapons for crafting over time but initially, we’re stuck with the new weapons from the throne world.

1 OdpowiedźThe only hype is it what people are projecting. They’ve have not even discussed the damn topic and all you shills are guessing what it will be. Remember when they said we could “make” our own weapons…. what did we get? The forge DLC which the only thing we were guaranteed was a particular weapon. When they made that announcement all the little fan boys went nuts talking about what they would make….. then promptly came back here to -blam!-, moan, groan and complain because it wasn’t what they thought. How bout acknowledge what they’ve proposed but quit talking about it till they actually announced what it will be. You all are only setting yourself up for failure honestly. Bungie has a track record of over selling and undelivering and one of the biggest reasons are the over speculative fan boys.

1 OdpowiedźEdytowany przez użytkownika G0lden Hunt3r: 1/15/2022 3:26:06 PMYup. Been waiting for weapon crafting solely because 90% off my weapons are 1 perk off of personal god roll. Like my 7th seraph HC with 4th times and high impact reserves...i want vorpal..not HIR. Also my BXR with outlaw and blunt execution rounds.. But it has chambered compensator instead of arrowhead. And the 0.001% droprate void sword without eager edge.

4 Odpowiedzi
I can’t wait for weapon crafting and hope it’s worth the hype.
Based on the last 7 years, I CAN SAY WITH CONFIDENCE, it will not be up worth the hype. Although I live in hope that it will be. Best of luck to all of us.
If weapon crafting is anything like armor 2.0, I hope we can be able to pull the base weapon from our collection once we unlock its newest version.
Nope. They will make you play by their rules, and the odds are that it will be a disappointment.
I strongly encourage Bungie to unlock the possibility to weapon craft every weapon as soon as possible.
It will not be anything other than what they stipulate can be crafted. I for one though, hope this will happen too! I have the "Glass half full" approach too, but I add a CAUTION TAG to it as well. Bungie will ruin something, somewhere for the casual player. That has been the case since BEFORE ACTIVISION left. 100%. All the best mate, and back to the F******G lag.
