On the PvE side of things, Hunters are in a pretty sad spot, especially in end-game activities (Raids GM's).
There is no role they can play that Warlocks or Titans can't do better.
Warlocks have their healing and empowering rifts, Titans can make their own cover, Hunters have a "dodge" which you will still be hit and die from while in the animation.
Nighthawk? completely outclassed by Curaiss Titan's
Tether? Debuffing made irrelevant with seasonal debuff modes or Divinity. Ad control made irrelevant by Shadebinder Warlocks, and sometimes Sunbreaker Titans.
Support wise Titan's have their bubbles, Warlocks have their Wells and Hunters have invisibility, which sometimes won't even work correctly and other times has no use or purpose.
Movement wise Hunters are still the slowest, thanks to Warlocks burst glide (especially top tree dawn) and Titan's "skating" which yes doesn't really work as it used to but you can still move faster than a Hunter.
It would just be nice to see Hunters been able to play a useful role in PvE, hopefully the upcoming light subclass reworks can fix this issue.

If you think hunters are not viable in end game, you need to look in the mirror for answers not on these forums. That is most definitely a you problem.

3 OdpowiedziThis has happened for 6 years. Stuff gets strong and makes people chase it. Bungie nerfs that and buffs something else. So on and so on. Hunters will be back, just wait....

1 OdpowiedźHunter doesn't appear to be in a sad spot on any of this PVE content, see for yourself. What? Hunters do great in GMs and Raids. The void and stasis classes are great in GMs and are generally better for crowd control due to how tanky the ads can be. Celestial Nighthawk could use a bit of a buff to keep it competitive but should fall a little short of Curtiss of a Falling Star's damage because it can be used at range. Now Arc Hunter, unless I'm missing something, they could use some love when it comes to end game content

Just let them follow the path of cayde 😎/s

We’re bad for PvE? That’s news to me 🤷🏼♂️

17 OdpowiedziOr you all can stop blindly believing this. Hunters don’t suck in pve at all but just because your favorite youtuber said it, it’s just being echoed all over here.

Revenant Hunters are pretty good. Omnioculous hunters are really great, and life saving in most, if not all GMs
-
I think it's great that Hunters don't have to carry Warlocks and Titans through the tough PvE content anymore. They still can - it just isn't as necessary as it used to be.
~s
Totally viable and even desirable this season. That being said, really nervous about how Hunter's will fit into the overall meta next season Artifact is what makes Revenant relevant, so viability for that changes every season, and who knows what this December patch might do to it Void Rework could go any which way, with Bottom Tree Void being a stellar class for high end content, it'd be a shame if the kit can't be replicated in the new system or is made worse in it Only thing that's probably safe is Solar and Arc builds

Edytowany przez użytkownika Illuminary: 11/18/2021 2:13:10 PMThey are viable. Every single GM I completed this season was with a hunter. This season some of the hardest GMs were put out at one time. Nightstalker gets you invis for safe rez, gives bonus resistance when invis, revenant helps with dps a ton when you're with a well lock, bottom celestial goldie pops super extremely fast if you keep knock em down and the precision buff up, so champ killing is quick. And, no warlock stasis isn't better, JUST THE TURRET IS BETTER FOR ADD CONTROL. The range melee has little to no tracking, and the super has a small explosive range. I use stasis for defense only, especially since turret spam really messes up the champ stun.

You were saying?

25 OdpowiedziTitans aren’t exactly brimming with options either, thundercrash or Ursas and that’s about your lot, maybe bubble too. Literally everything else is garbage for end game (GMs)

Operator error. The three classes have different strengths, and if you want to get the most out of them you need to lean INTO those strengths. Too many times in end-game content people get stuck in this idea of "I have to buff my team mates or I'm usless". No, that's not true. Hunters are very effective at taking out high-priority targets, and controlling enemy movement. The problem you seem to be having isn't the nature of the Hunter's themselves, but that you aren't making BUILDS that leverage those Hunter abilities.

I find them useful with Stasis

7 OdpowiedziIf you think Hunters can't be useful...you aren't playing Hunter correctly.
-
2 OdpowiedziI'll partially agree that hunters are a little outclassed by titans and warlock support wise (bubbles, healing rifts, barricades, wells of radiance, etc) but they're not completely irrelevant PvE wise Once particle deconstruction (PD) is gone, tether has a high chance to become relevant again unless the small chance that they add another super meta debuff similar to PD

1 OdpowiedźPerhaps a little more experience in game would help you understand that Hunters are useful and also usable in every game activity. All classes are in reality. I have a stasis build I run on my hunter. Hopefully it’s setup now for you to review. You can run a anything you want in the energy slot for champion stunning. Try this build and let me know your thoughts afterwards?

1 OdpowiedźStasis hunters are highly viable in GM.
