Bungie Just retire weapons by eliminating the option of acquiring them with random rolls and set them with static rolls. This will let the hardcore fan base have the weapons they’ve grinded for and not invalidate their time getting them. Since the older weapons no longer have random rolls then this means only the new gear will have random rolls which will have a chase incentive towards them. For example midnight coupe and spare rations, Not many chase for Midnight Coupe anymore mainly because it has a static roll while spare rations has random rolls and a weapon mod slot. Every True Destiny player GRINDS FOR THE GROLL ever since Day 1 of D1.
I agree with weapon retirement BUT not the approach Bungie is making on IT!

Yes sunsetting! This is the best way!!!

2 OdpowiedziDon't worry, this community is so braindead they'll take anything bungie shits out of their mouth and defend it until they die without even thinking once about it. Sunsetting will be the downfall and there is no argument that it should even be a thing. Plenty of people have debunked the people who have posted that it needs to stay and there are too many reasons to make sunsetting not a thing.

Edytowany przez użytkownika Bore: 6/9/2020 2:58:14 PMHow does that fix anything? That won’t make people stop using recluse or mountain top. The most used weapons are already static rolls. The old weapons should t be viable in new content forever. Edit: sun setting isn’t starting next season. Your list doesn’t prove much. Additional there will be weapons released with next season and the fall expansion.

5 OdpowiedziThis would not solve the issue that Bungie are attempting to solve at all.
-
Yea because static rolls were such a success in the first year of D2 🤪🙄
-
4 OdpowiedziI'm sure after reading your post that they will change all theirs plans, just for you. 🤣
-
2 OdpowiedziI think your reasoning as to why people use Y2/Y3 weapons over Y1 weapons is a bit off the mark. People didn't stop using Y1 weapons (for the most part) because of static rolls. They started preferring Y2/Y3 weapons because they have mod slots. The other big reason that Y1 weapons are falling short is because their masterwork stats only add a +5 bonus instead of a +10 bonus.

11 OdpowiedziLet the damn guns die and grt a new one
-
16 OdpowiedziThat doesn’t even come close to addressing the issues that sunsetting is there to fix... in fact, it makes some of them worse
-
3 OdpowiedziBad idea, sorry, but grinding ALL GOD ROLLS is what many players, myself included login for. Every single weapon in my vault is a god roll with hours to months of grinding behind it. Some I am still after like blast furnace and spare rations (1 year grinding and nothing) and having the chance to get them removed for the game will make me quit as much as sunsetiing will as well. I know you may not care for god rolls or collecting high tier gear, but I do and I have no intent to ruin the game for you, so please dont suggest something that will ruin it for me. Let each player play the way they want to, wasnt this the motto of the game? Let collectors collect, let crucible diehards optimize their builds, let hardcore raiders achieve the maximum dps currently possible, let fashionista keep their hard earned armors with style and stats. Sunseting is objectively bad and so is your solution, as much as you had good intentions.
-
Your being overly dramatic
-
Well peeps better get used to getting close to G rolls. At least at the start of this sunsetting business. It won't go off to a flying start but it'll be good in the long run. If they actually learn.
-
Actually not a bad idea
-
3 OdpowiedziSunsetting made me uninstall the game.
-
5 OdpowiedziIdk if making everything static is the way
-
Got to 500 last night and re did my vault and now at around 350. Guns will always be my priority over armor. 😈
-
34 OdpowiedziI don’t think you get why they’re doing weapon retirement. It’s for weapons with static rolls, namely things like recluse or revoker. Broken guns that can’t be fixed without making them completely useless.
-
4 OdpowiedziPfft I love this Just a nonsense post, but it doesn't matter, it's still getting upvoted because it's anti-sunset.
-
1 OdpowiedźWhat is the meaning of this post ? I don’t see any suggestions of your better way
-
I think very slow power creep by little better new rolls is the best solution. Powerful new rolls are not required, "little better" is important. We can select using god roll old rolls weapons or grinding better rolls new weapons. This means we lost nothing, and got new choices.
-
3 OdpowiedziHow is changing the Year 2 weapons to static rolls going to fix the problems Sunsetting seeks to address? Yes, part of the problem is weapons like Spare Rations that can get a 150 RPM "god roll" making all other 150 RPM handcannons useless. Let's say you make all future drops have a static roll, that doesn't affect the people that already have "god rolls" and actually makes the issue worse creating a gap between those who got the weapon and those that didn't. If you make all Spare Rations period have static rolls, even those that are already obtained, this does address the issue, but that is a major slap in the face to those that grinded for the weapon. Sunsetting is the compromise, it allows you to keep your "god roll" weapons to use in most activities, including most Crucible activities, but for new endgame content, you need to find a new meta loadout. Especially for Pinnacle weapons, Sunsetting is the alternative to straight up nerfing those weapons into the ground. You can continue to use Pinnacle weapons in most activities, but will need to find new loadouts for endgame content.
-
2 OdpowiedziApproach is fine, stop crying because you can’t see how the system can play out, and adapt to change. You still have your god roll gun after it’s retired anyway. You just want to continue to infuse it, which completely invalidates the idea of leaving it behind in endgame content. Let go, man. Jesus.

19 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika QUIET: 6/8/2020 9:44:17 AMThis is a huge problem for new players or returning players. There should not be loot in the game that cant be no longer aquired. There is no point in having a shitty roll of spare rations. (static roll) Just accept it how it is. Nothing will change, sunsetting is coming and itsa good thing for the game and healthy for the future of the game. Bungie just has to make sure that they make enough new and good weapons and a good ways to grind for weapons like Menagerie was.
-
Bungie would argue this because then it would allow for an unfair advantage for original players over new having better rolls on weapons that now have static rolls. They should call this a weapon "leveling system" and make a players character level more relevant to weapons you get. The newest raid, trials, IB, and NF should drop the best basic weapons, with the rolls making other activities better. I want weapons that are made useless based on our level, not based on the season we are in.
