I’ve never been so angered and heartbroken from joining a player on the destiny companion app. After 43 gruesome minutes our fire team managed to complete this weeks Scarlet Keep Nightfall on Master Difficultly. I was anxiously waiting for my hard earned pinnacle weapon and rewards to drop only to be kicked from the fire-team before the drop. I rushed to the tower to see if maybe it would be at the postmaster only to realize that the Weekly challenge was not completed. For the first time after many years of playing Destiny, I was left speechless and shocked by what just happened. Destiny is the only game I look forward to playing every night. Im a mother and playing is my getaway and what I enjoy doing the most during my free time. After this incident, Im just sitting here with tears in my eyes.
Re; Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone that reached out. I was so emotional in the heat of the moment as I couldn’t believe anyone would do such a thing and deliberately kick me from the fire-team before the drop. Anyone who played The Scarlet Keep on master can relate to how stressful and at the same time exhilarating the boss phase is; I love the chaos which makes this Nightfall reward in particular more deserving at the end. It’s evident from your support that the good players ALWAYS outnumber the toxic ones in this community. Much Respect. 🌹
Edit: This is the first time I’ve ever posted on here thinking that it would directly go to Destiny. It’s crazy reading all your responses but I think that there were some really good suggestions in regards to the situation. Destiny could definitely look into disabling the Boot feature once you reach a certain point in a strike/raid like the restricted zone or the Boss Phase.
And to anyone saying I overreacted; 1. In that moment when you see the message that you’re no longer in a fire-team and realize what just happened, yes it angered me and 2. I did not mention the abuse I got from that certain player After I messaged them regarding their actions. So yes it was painful to hear what he had said knowing that you did everything right to complete the nightfall.
I hope this controversy might spark a change in some features in the game making it more user friendly especially for solo players that depend on the companion app for certain tasks. 👍🏽

Wow, really sorry to hear. I know the feeling and I'm sure it's happened to all Destiny players at one time or another. It's part of the reason I completely stopped joining other players' teams and would only form my own teams as fireteam leader.
-
4 OdpowiedziNot saying you should limit yourself because you're not in a large clan/don't have able bodied participants/etc BUT 950s and 980s are matchmaking disabled. Why would you put the power to kick people in someone else's hands? Someone you don't even know, no less. And then you complain about it? People purposefully grief others in games. All the goddamn time. Complaining won't fix it. Especially now that D2 is F2P. Every single activity in both Destiny games has allowed the fireteam lead (if there is one) to boot people. There's a good reason for it. There's always AFKers, people looking for an easy handout.. Asking that it change in some way is asinine. Instead next time you decide to embark on that adventure, YOU should make the fireteam post. YOU should be the lead.

That’s awful. I always run my own LFG to avoid that.

Edytowany przez użytkownika More Power: 2/3/2020 7:43:52 PMBungie has for years made the game great for streamers, when they should have made the game great for those who exemplify greatness. Bungie should be rewarding Guardians for their service to the community - by leading Bungie companion app Nightfalls, Raids, PvP fireteams and on and on... reward greatness with pinnacle goodness, not those who harm the experience of others.
-
3 OdpowiedziI'm sorry for those shitty people, but how did it take you 40 mins?
-
That was a real scummy move.Ive seen more than a few posts of this kinda shitty behaviour.Report them and look for a clan. There are more good guardians than bad.
-
I thought you might be a 49er fan. Are you?

-
It took your team 43 minutes on master difficulty?
-
Best Community Award my Arse, I’m sorry to hear you were robbed from your rewards

6 OdpowiedziI'm not someday internet virgin that hates women so I would have never kicked you. That's not just because your a woman tho it's because I'm not a scumbag and dont get off on screwing other people. Idk what console you play on but if it's ps4 go ahead and send me a message. I run a clan and me and my friends would welcome you. You'd ever have to lfg with this toxic ass community ever again.
-
1 OdpowiedźThey should institute a voting for the kick so that way this doesn’t happen
-
1 Odpowiedźpeople who do that are the scum of the Earth....

If you do Discord then you might want to look into D2Sanctuary. A LARGE amount of people on PS, XB and PC. Extremely helpful and friendly people there. You should be able to organize a group pretty quick that won't boot you.
-
That's terrible. It is a challenging nightfall. I learned my lesson in D1. It happened to me twice during the nightfall. Since then, I make sure I am always party leader or play with my friends I been playing with since D1 came out. There is a lot of pieces of shit that play this game. Some of the worst people I think I ever came across in a video game.

Idk , on one hand it sucks, but on the other hand there is no point to master nightfalls as the pinnacle reward will be pointless at the start of the next season. I wouldn't cry over it. Next time record and report. Forums are iffy as you cant name and shame publicly. Anyone here could technically grab those two names and keep spamming them all day with toxic comments, but without video proof, it's hard to cast judgement.
-
10 OdpowiedziWow even pve is toxic? I can't with this game anymore, it's gotta go in the trash.
-
1 OdpowiedźIt sucks, I had the same thing happen to me except for it was at the end of a Prestige Eater of Worlds... just as Argos was about to die, the 2 10-12 year old boys hosting the lfg returned the entire team to orbit... hysterically laughing, then kicked us 1 at a time from the fireteam and party. We spent an hour at Argos and about 3 hours total just to be cheated at the end.

It takes a special kind of person to be so vindictive. That's really crappy and I hope you battled through and got your rewards in the end!

4 OdpowiedziI checked out that NF scoresheet and what gets me is that one of them is a clan leader and the other an admin!! Nice example they're setting. What a right pair of wankers!!

5 OdpowiedziI have been kicked at the end of activities as well. It is not a good feeling, but i quickly realize that the type of person who gets their kicks from ruining others experiences is probably a broken individual who will never have real close relationships with anyone. With a little luck, their lives are ruined forever from some unknown childhood trauma that they will never fully recover from. So let them have their little troll moment of dopamine. Probably about the only good feeling they will experience in their vapid existence.
-
there are some low life people out there that get a kick out of doing stuff like this D:
-
3 OdpowiedziSorry to hear about this. I've had it happen, too, but not in Destiny (yet). I'd actually love to hear from Bungie about why you can even boot someone after a set period of time? Surely, once the players get to the boss stage, it should be literally impossible to boot one of them. Especially if it's the same 3 players that went through the entire event. I mean, seriously, am I the only one that finds it insane you can beat the boss and in those seconds before the loot drops... you can get kicked out of the team?
-
LFG is -blam!-ing shit, no excuse not to have matchmaking in 2020.
-
4 Odpowiedzil absolutely hate this part of the game. I wish Bungie would do something similar to what happened in the Division 1 where people use to get booted at the end of a challenge mission so what they did was make it so the leader cannot boot you once you are facing the boss of the mission. Something similar to that in this game would be great as some of the LFG community are nothing but pricks. That nightfall is annoying as well..hopefully you get this completed
