Kinda ironic that we can’t in basically every time way.
TLDR: We cannot play the way we want in both the armor and weapon departments
1) Seasonal mods for only certain weapons
2) exotics can’t have champion mods equipped
3) we still have fixed elements for elemental weapons
4) most legendary armor rolls in the high 40s or very low 50s
5) only eververse ornaments can be applied to any piece of armor. All ornaments should be universal. All legendary armor once unlocked should be universal like ornaments

Yes it’s a catchy marketing tag line and an empty promise behind it. I fell for it.
-
42 Odpowiedziso basically you want the rules changed so its easier for you. gotcha. do you complain this much playing checkers?
-
You use to have elemental mods in the good ol days
-
you can play the way you want, but you won't progress very far in the game. many quest require pvp (which some people hate doing) do 3 strikes for a powerful drop (have to use a set subclass for the week) many pinnacle activities have locked load outs some pinnacle activities are timed forcing you to rush through them many activities don't have matchmaking so solo players either dont do them or have to use a 3rd party to find a team
-
Just remember, devs make the rules of the game. They are in place to protect the player from him/herself. If this sort of payout is bungie's way of thanking us for our time then cool but if this is a glitch? Ugh....
-
1. I agree with its completely -blam!-ing stupid. 2. Agree even more its also completely -blam!-ing stupid that exotics don't have champion mods. 3. I think you should be able to earn the element like random perks on every energy weapon besides exotics. 4. 99.99% of armour is useless and no point beyond using a single set that gives you the best stats. 5. Agree again. Bungie just keeps making the worst game design decisions I have seen in my goddamn life.

2 OdpowiedziRemember when they said at e3 you can go anywhere you can see that was determined to be a lie
-
While it was far worse with D2 vanilla, this game still tries to dictate how I play a bit too much for my taste.
-
Then nerf precision damage to enemies Release cool yet completely useless or outclassed Exotics Severely limit your ability to earn Bright Dust and Eververse engrams Eliminate the ability to stack Buffs and Debuffs Nerf your ability to use abilities Make one particular weapon type dominant, but not bother buffing other weapon types to that tier...because although that would take time and would make players happy...lets continue to do the quick and easy method of nerfing.
-
But still you can play the way you want, equip nothing but blue gear and you'll be surprised ain't much different from legendaries and exotic mixed.

Edytowany przez użytkownika Ken_Malibu: 2/4/2020 1:07:25 PMPlay YOUR way: just as long as it's 980 Nightfall with a pulse rifle. I mean will you go Anti Barrier or Overload... YOUR way

I feel this whole thing kinda contradicts the selling point of armor 2.0 and shadowkeep in general doesn't it? Why have selectable mods and things like that when they only have an effect based on what you use or something similar? I dont think it's a bad idea to push other meta's with this system but at the same time its like...why should I care about grinding autos when a good chunk of the content won't support that weapon or as soon as the season ends the weapon I spent grinding will just gather dust because it's not useful anymore? All of these beautiful patron's of lost causes that I dont actually have would be obsolete next season unless I had a scout rifle itch...but the content doesnt support it so why bother? I think making certain weapons complete certain roles is a pretty solid idea but...there's no reason to keep flip flopping every season is there? I know this touches on only one of the things OP brought up but it all kinda correlates doesnt it? You COULD do this...or you could just not or you shouldn't :/ It's all so counter productive and stupid. "Build your ultimate killing machine" oh but you can't use this next season...or this...or that. This is like going to an "all you can eat buffet" and they have a section that serves fruit but some are "out of season" so you cant grab them even though they still have it sitting there anyways. Probably a bad comparison, but you get the idea. Why serve us this crap if it's not going to matter.

You should not believe what Bungie says, especially in the trailers. 90% didn’t. Try next time.

Edytowany przez użytkownika Ogma: Destroyer of Worlds: 2/4/2020 2:05:48 AMYea I took that with a grain of salt when they said it. They’re doing what I consider to be a cardinal sin for gaming. They have a game that is HEAVILY based around the acquisition of loot, and then they dictate what we use and do more than half the time. And what’s the penalty for not doing it? SEVERE hindering of the player’s ability to progress things and even just straight up not being able to acquire certain things. There’s also seemingly arbitrary, unnecessary restrictions(seasonal mods). It’s a terribly counterintuitive system they have going. They made a loot based game and then impose what is the antithesis of the appeal of loot based games. Makes no sense.

Armor 2.0 was an over complicated fix for random roll armor, and it’s still the same rng garbage. All Bungie needed to do was have “fixed stat” armor that you add mods to along the lines of year one but with much more customization, no rng required.

1 Odpowiedźyet none of the list prevents you from playing how you want. will how you want to play be most effective or not is a different discussion.
-
1 OdpowiedźLooks like a bungie controlled destiny is failing to me.
-
2 OdpowiedziSo with your 5th point I'm pretty sure they just can't do that. Due to technical limitations
-
Hell even the strikes dont let you use the subclass you want if you want that weekly drop lmao
-
9 OdpowiedziWant to upgrade your armor? Go grind the ultra sh--ty Nightfall Ordeals OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN. (BTW you have to have Unstoppable Rounds, Anti Barrier Rounds, and Overload Rounds which are even further limited to specific weapon types and are not able to be equiped to Exotic Weapons) Bungie are literal chucklefooks.
-
It hasnt been play the way you want since D2 dropped.
-
27 OdpowiedzisPeLl ThE wAY yOu wANt tOO ( sorry, had to make fun of that ) ffs, games come with boundary conditions. if you like the game, play it if you don't like the game, stop whining and play another game
-
92 OdpowiedziYou can play without seasonal mods You can play without exotics You can play without using elemental weapons You can play with low stats You can play without ornaments
-
1 OdpowiedźI can only kinda understand issue number 1. The rest is just whining especially 4 and 5. Seriously though, play the way you want.
-
I think they just want to shake up the PvE meta which is understandable. Although I think we should be able to put any mod on any primary imo. And exotics need a seasonal mod slot.
