The grenade doesn’t insta-kill though, and it only does something if you’re playing aggressively, or if someone pushes you. If there’s no enemy near you then it’s pointless.

Hello player with ONLY a warlock and no other classes....please try other classes first before you cry all over your phone. You will soon realize that your own old exotic is capable of doing the aame thing. Titan also has an exotic like the new hunter exotic ...

They give us dumb handbags, dresses, and tons of ugly cyclops helms, while ruining our melee and our best super and have the balls to give us a worthless toe shoe exotic? Clearly the person in charge of everything warlocks is a little on the rainbow side of things... 🤮

It isn't a pvp exotic, so yeah, I'd expect it to be bad, just like OEM has ALWAYS been subpar in pve, or celestial nighthawk being borderline crippling in pvp. The new exotic is something I can see being a god-send for anyone doing a flawless raid and needing a large coverage of heals. You're basically complaining that a Philip-head screwdriver can't put in a staple, but a staple can. Have you actually used a the exotic you're envious of? Getting that close in pvp to dodge is hard enough when they can shotgun you in half a second (where as the explosion is delayed and can't one-shot). I'm just downvoting because it's complaining for the sake of complaining and have a lack of experience with the things you're judging. If you said we needed more warlock pvp exotics, I would 100% agree, but you tried to claim one seasonal exotic more superior than the other with no good backing.

Yea, but Warlocks have some of the best PvP exotics already. Also, I think this was meant to be a PvE exotic. Regardless, it's very bad. They should have made it so all rifts you pop are both healing and empowering, that would of been awesome.

There doesn't seem to be too many....if any.....people here that have gone to 5500 on a Warlocks but I have so here are my observations along the way. Warlocks are almost non-existent at high comp levels. There are by far more Hunters and fewer Titans at that level. There is reason for this. Mobility is key and Hunters win in that department every time. To survive as a Warlock you have to play much smarter because you don't have a dodge or stompees to bail yourself out of trouble. Rifts have to be used behind cover or you will die in one. A Hunter can dodge in your face and get away with it. (and now leave a bomb for you) Warlocks will lose every melee fight because of a slow melee speed unless you use an exotic but your now screwed because you need your exotic to do other things. So Warlocks can't plan on using a melee making that ability less than useful. Warlocks have one good nade in the game. Hand held...but its range is short and oppressive darkness is now gone. Its the only thing that can keep a rushing shotgunner at bay or a shoulder charging Titan. Its charge time sucks and you need to use it behind cover to be really effective. A throwing knife or shoulder charge doesn't have this problem. At high level comp teams don't stack up together so arc web is useless. At high level most Warlock supers are not that great except for one. Nova Bomb because its a great shut down super and if the team is dumb enough to group up you will own them however its neutral game sucks for slova bomb and bottom tree's bomb range is terrible....but devour is good. Hunters don't have these problems (except for maybe a tether hunter) and they have the best PVP exotics in the game as a class. OEM is the only game changing exotic for Titans. Hunters have several. Warlocks have crap and their exotics have to be used to fix hole in subclasses. Want to blink? Have to use astrocyte because blink is awful without it. Using Hand held? Have to use converse hold to survive the charge time. Nova warp???? sorry you're out of luck in the exotic department. Dawnblade super is terrible. Top tree super was never good, its weak and there is no tracking, aim assist, and its tied with storm caller for the worst damage resilience in the game. Bottom tree is all but useless now because its only claim to fame is dead.....movement speed. Top tree has more utility but you have a crappy super and at high levels being in the air is a bad thing unless our top tier player....I'm talking about top 2% player. To make top tree really work for mobility you have to give up your nade and the ranged melee is under powered. Unlike Titans Warlocks don't get a OHK in every sub-class. Neither do Hunters but their neutral game and exotics make up for that and throwing knife has a 35 meter range.....that's pulse rifle range! At the end of the day you can't escape, no matter your argument, that Warlocks are the least used in PVP for a reason and that's because they are hard to use. Bungie has made Warlocks a PVE support class first and foremost. Warlocks utility in PVP is a after thought.

Imagine thinking it is good in crucible while everyone has a shotgun equipped. You won't even get in kill distance before you get bodied by a shotgun. Yet another extremely situational exotic (similar to Liars Handshake)
