D2 raids are/have become too mechanics heavy and any one thing could cause a wipe including glitches. It would be nice if we had an assortment of raids where some were less mechanics heavy. Not fun to bring new ppl in because everyone has to have the mechanics down 100%. For example, more raids like kings fall and wotm, less raids like gos and sos. Focused team mechanics and less sub teams doing different mechanics.
Also the armor drop rate in GoS is terrible!

The rest of the game is what you're asking for. Raids are the only place that focuses on mechanics. And that's the appeal. My group and I love going into our first raid blind, trying to figure out mechanics ourselves. It's the most fun I've ever had in a game. I don't believe in the philosophy that every activity has to be accessible to every player. If raids aren't your cup of tea because they are too mechanic heavy, there are other things to do. Just like people don't have to play competitive crucible. It's just an option. There's no reason to nuke an entire area of the game to make it more viable for the majority when those activities are specifically intended for those niches.
-
But that's not fun and interactive.

2 OdpowiedziI cant exactly give my opinion to GoS, but in opinion as a veteran of D1, this raid, nor any of the others in the D2 can hold a candle to what the raids were on D1. Yes the LFG is not so good, but who complains about wanting a harder challenge like D1 : The community base. You wanted a harder raid and now you complain about how mechanic it is. I have completed every raid up to GoS besides SoS bc it didn’t exactly intrigue me or anything but you cant complain about how easy a raid is and then complain about how mechanic heavy GoS is
-
I know right, that drop rate is hooorific! It almost makes me assume that only arms and legs drop till you actually finish the raid, like whaaaaat dah heck!
-
And boring Look at me!!!! I have space magic and paracausal super weapons..... ....I'll stand here with my fire team tethered and walk slowly....oh look a stand here or wipe mechanic!!!

I'm sorry Bungie wants people to understand the entire Raid and not just half of it.

12 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika J_v_K: 10/27/2019 10:19:28 PMThat sounds like a you problem to me as a good amount of the Destiny community are coping just fine. Now whilst I have not had time to complete Garden of Salvation yet, due to my job and other commitment not exactly being conducive to playing for several hours at a go, I have completed the other raids just fine, when I was able to do so, and I really did not have a problem with the mechanics of any of them.

D1 is still an active game if you miss it so much.

12 OdpowiedziSo basically, people who stopped liking raids after vog and crota, sucked, needed carried. Then when you actually had to do carry your weight, raids are too mechanical. Got it. As in every raid ,once you figure it out, it's pretty easy content.
-
Can't agree less. The mechanics are easy for most raids. I love SoS because it has a very tight mechanic which you have to follow very strictly. But the GoS armor drop rate is horrible. 3-4 clears on each char and no complete armor set on each. Instead i got half a dozen bows and auto rifles. Not to mention pinnacle lvl dropped armor and not bonus chests which is there for the rolls.

The tethers in GOS are glitchy which I think makes it hard. If they were improved on the experience would be better

Thats the difference between raid amd strike..
rumdum
4 OdpowiedziIdk I mean Kingsfall was a mechanics heavy raid and it was a lot of people’s favorite raid. GOS is probably a tiny bit harder than Scourge and scourge is the easiest raid in destiny

Atlest you have to use brain while playing. More raid mechanics like end boss in Garden of Salvation. I freaking L O V E I T

4 Odpowiedzi
I just downvoted your comment/post. FAQ Q:What does this mean? A: The amount of upvotes (bumps) on your comment and/or post has decreased by one. Q: Why did you do this? A: There are several reasons I may deem a comment/post to be unworthy of positive or neutral votes. These include, but are not limited to: * Rudeness towards other people, * Spreading incorrect information, * Sarcasm not correctly flagged with a /s, * -blam!- you. Q: Am I banned from the Bungie.net? A: No - not yet. But you should refrain from making comments or posts like this in the future. Otherwise I will be forced to issue an additional downvote, which may put your commenting and posting privileges in jeopardy. Q: I don't believe my comment deserved a downvote. Can you un-downvote it? A: Sure, mistakes happen. But only in exceedingly rare circumstances will I undo a downvote. If you would like to issue an appeal, shoot me a private message explaining what I got wrong. I tend to respond to Bungie PMs within several minutes. Do note, however, that over 99.9% of downvote appeals are rejected, and yours is likely no exception. Q: How can I prevent this from happening in the future? A: Accept the downvote and move on. But learn from this mistake: your behavior will not be tolerated on Bungie.net. I will continue to issue downvotes until you improve your conduct. Remember: Bungie is privilege, not a right.
Meanwhile back in destiny 1 everyone was complaining about everything just being a bullet sponge. Now people are complaining about the opposite. Theres just no pleasing some people.

4 Odpowiedzii would say most encounters are not too mechanic heavy, for me the only exception is the spire of stars last encounter definitely feels like too many hoops to jump through, and too buggy. Raids need to feel mechanically involved, otherwise its just a strike, or a 6 man match made activity like menagerie or a dungeon. The reason we have all those other activities is so there is a spectrum of challenge and involvement. Raids are meant to be the pinnacle of all those other options.

Completed the raid this weekend, wouldn’t say too mechanical but I would say that you have to have a good rhythm to complete it! Syncing with your teammates is the key! A couple times I was caught healing myself and missed the portal run but my partner got it done solo, in summation it is a fun raid you just need a good dance partner!
-
You meant Dungeon ? good news you have one new next week..
-
I think we need a balance. It was nice to have more mechanic heavy raids, such as Last Wish, at first. But now they keep following the same pattern. We need a mix between team focused and mechanic focused raids.

2 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika AlieN_x_HuMaN: 10/28/2019 1:00:21 AMI have to say, I really miss how small the lfg raid community used to be. A lot of people came back to the game for Shadowkeep for some reason and while that's great and all....we had a good thing going with the people grouping on this app for raids. Many times the names were recognizable. Now I get screamers, morons, and people whp think they are many times better than they are. Ive raged at 2 people on this boss and I never do that. I dont even want to do the raid at this point. Agree with OP that this boss is too taxing for groups that dont play together all the time. *i raged at those 2 people because they were calling out everyone but themselves and just going crazy in general.

2 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika Ken_Malibu: 10/28/2019 8:35:04 AMPlease get average The problem with this game is that most of everything is total mindless shit that involves standing and shooting things in the face. So most players spend the majority of their time never having to engage their brain in any way at all. Little things like survivability and co-ordination are skills you don't learn on patrol or in strikes. Then these players want to raid and then wander why they have none of the attributes required to perform very simple mechanics like stand here, get this buff, then go over here etc.

3 OdpowiedziRemember, raids have certain qualifications in order to be called a raid

GoS is a pretty easy raid with fun encounters and great loot. The only part that I would consider slightly challenging is the final boss, as it has A LOT of moving parts. As for the loot. Have you actually completed the raid all the way through twice? The secret raid chests only have the chance to drop duplicates of items you have already found. So if you haven't found an armor piece from the respective encounter, you aren't going to get it from the chests.

Edytowany przez użytkownika WP ScorpionWind: 10/28/2019 8:50:19 AMIt's not that they're mechanic heavy that's the problem, it's that they punish everyone for one person messing up on anything. In D1 for example if one person missed something or didn't get to a certain location they would be the one who would be killed/made to pay for it. In D2 most of the raids basically have a team wipe mechanic attached to everything so the moment one person messes up the whole team feels the wrath. This is what is cause the problems not the mechanics themselves. Raids have always been mechanic heavy and I'm glad they are that way, because they require teamwork and communication (Which reality is the world could use a hell of a lot more of.).
