I just read the last part and it didn't surprise me one bit that the higher-ups pulled this lame move. Bungie wants to make their money, I get it as all companies do, but they didn't have to be selfish about it that they could have at least added plenty of loot to the game to go with the boring grind. Bungie add one planet and didn't really update the rest of the game and looking at Bungie's "effort" to give the planets some life, meaning things to do, the moon will most likely be as dead as the rest of the planets in this game in no time at all. So running around collection materials with barely anything to do to level up old gear/weapons. That would be an absurd amount of time getting nowhere in a game that is supposed to be a looter shooter, not a cosmetic over grind.

Then do you remember how they actually just permanently deleted them and never -blam!-ing addressed it?

Nope....again. * The grind wouldn’t bother me at all if there was actually something to grind for. I still can’t believe the main drops in this game are still year one guns.

I'm in the same boat looking at if they made an actual looter shooter giving me a reason to spend that time grinding I would have pre-ordered and be playing right now. In D1 y1 alone I put in 3000 hours in the game because there was actual loot to chase besides helping many others run all the raids.

Agree 100%. Heck, I would do simple patrols over and over and over with the chance of getting a new gun to use.

I will play it but I'm not going to waste my time leveling up 99.99% of the gear in this game. I'll pick a couple and call it good.

Copy-pasted planet with minor changes, same public events, same materials in the same locations, same hive but with red auras! Copy-pasting everything over and over again, that's their go-to strategy from D1 and beyond.

Agree. For an dlc/expansion I would have thought there would be more then just the moon. Sure it is a big place, since they did expand it a little, but it is still the same boring place, the moon. After I beat the Strike and Campaign all by myself, I thought there was going to be more. I actually thought I could go back to the pyramid ship. Nope, you can only visit it during a mission. I was hoping of exploring it some. I was also hoping to see some sort of new alien there, instead of a mirror image of my character. I also thought we were going to have to face the Vex, hive, and the ghosts. Instead it is just hive right now. I have only seen one vex mini boss. You do not get to kill any of the ghosts, disappointing. The game is a let down. Bungie could have made it even more interesting, but I think they lack the creative part.

I'm 100% happy that I did not purchase this grotesque attempt at a "DLC". It's infuriating to say the least that they would think I would've fall in to their recycled content loop over again. When Shadowkeep was announced I was giving them the benefit of the doubt and I was like ok, ok, let's see where we're going. Man, the second I saw that we were going back to the Moon and when I heard reskinned raid armor I said. No thank you! This franchise, this universe can be so much more and better, way better. For me, this recycled/reskinned content really needs to stop. This franchise needs new worlds, new story that makes sense, new enemies besides the same species we've been fighting for a long time. Brand new armor and weaponry, factions, new factions, updated vendors, new weapon brands. All of this can be done. The problem is Bungie themselves and the higher ups. Also us the consumers are an issue. If only us consumers can see what this company has done throughout the many years we've played this game and leave the fanboy/white knight/ Bungie apologist at the front door and open your [b]goddamn eyes...[/b] Do not come and tell me you wouldn't like the examples I've just mentioned above to further make this game better because I guarantee you Bungie will keep recycling content, you're going to keep getting reskins and they've already done the unthinkable and [u]given you reskinned raid armor. [/u] [b]You're bound to get tired of this shit and that's just fine.[/b]

All I had to do was look at what they did with the rest of the planets in this game, it was that easy. As I've been saying, I know the skybox does great work so I'm sure the changes look good. I haven't played it yet, I'm downloading the new light and from what I understand I can patrol it? Have they at least added new public events?

You have the summoning ritual one, the protect the fallen sat, and take down the fallen tanks. That is pretty much the public events on the moon. After you finished the campaign, they do give you sort of strikes, called nightmare hunts. There are 3 of them. You do not get a chest at the end of the boss, but you do get a piece of armor or weapon at the end, but no marks. edited a minute ago: They also have the Scarlet Keep strike. You can solo it by yourself, it is easy.

Mainly because most of the gear IMO isn't worth the time leveling up. Not much of an incentive so I'll be done quick 😄 So overall in 2 weeks tops the moon will be dead as usual until they open a dungeon from what I understand. Then people get to look forward to the battle passes, oh yay!

Then Bungie will have to work quickly to get something or people are just going to log off until they do something. The raid will most likely be in the pyramid ship. Probably a nightmare of Oryx, instead of one of his sisters.

The raid will help a bit, but knowing Bungie put Eververse gear as a reward, not a good sign and that is not including the RNG in this game that is worse than D1. I don't think Bungie really thought this one through.

Yep Eververse has everything. I just bought 10,000 cores, 1,000,000 glimmer, 10,000 parts. I just master-worked my entire gear. It is great. Everyone should master-work everything by paying real money at Eververse. (Sarcasm does apply to this in every single way. Nope, I have not bought any silver, because I am not that rich and I do not see these cores on Eververse to begin with, but if they were there, I still would not buy silver.) I do agree that the grinds are boring. Of course Bungie might be working on more content, hopefully.

I dont know about the content part. Didnt Luke Smith say "that working on content is hard and stressful for their team"? So once its get to hard they just say "screw it" and go home. Lol I wish my job was like this.

What I do mind is, that Eververse became more important than the rest of the in-game content. As I said in my post, all companies need to make money, but selling is not the only way they can make money. Making quality content makes a world of difference when it comes to sales. Hell, if I knew that Bungie was trying to actually improve the game and was making it for the player base as well as themselves I would have pre-ordered with no issues at all, the problem is, they literally are just doing it for themselves. It literally shows in plain sight with the lack of effort updating the game and they have had 2 years to do small things to make some really good improvements. I don't get this, "we need to go big" with making the game look pretty, but fail to make the rest of the game. They have been working on this project for 12 long years and had all of D1 to work with so there really is no excuse for this game to be lacking as bad as it is in its 3rd year. The problem is Bungie, plain and simple.

Just loke at the Polish dudes from CD Projekt Red. Witcher 1. Not AAA quality, but nonetheless a good RPG, interesting, mature. Witcher 2 Almost AAA quality, more polished as Witcher 1. Definitely a very noticeable improvement on Witcher 1. Witcher 3. AAAA quality. Home run. Tons of sales. That's how you make money. Create a great game. Money will come. I honestly don't think Bungie has the talent, the mental willpower and intellect to make Destiny as great as Witcher 3 quality wise. FFS they can't even program a network code to use dedicated servers, in 2019!!!

They took on a new IP and have the never to cry about work? as if that work is being put into D2? 😂 Umm, that is on them for not using their head thinking they can work on 2 games knowing they could barely handle D1 as it was.
