Nearly impossible to get army of one with truth ruining gambit
It’s crazy how ridiculous how many people use truth as a crutch in gambit. I’m trying to get army of one for malfeasance, hence I’m on the most worthless killing class in the game.[spoiler]warlock[/spoiler]

1 OdpowiedźA previous responder suggested using the map to your advantage to evade the tracking rockets. That was good advice. Timing helps too. Any player with experience will have scoped out where invaders are spawning. That's how they're getting their shots off so quickly. If you wait until your team drops 2 or more blockers, or until they pull a primeviel (sp?) you have a better chance of catching them napping. Full disclosure I've only managed army of one twice, so my advice is worth what you paid for it. One of those times was with a Warlock using Nova Bomb and blink. Load out was Blast Furnace, Jotun, Wendigo. When it gets frustrating, adapt, improvise, and persevere. Good luck to you.

as a warlock i got an army of one using a bygones earlier. maybe its just you and you feel the need to blame the game for you not being good enough?

3 OdpowiedziTruth is quite easy to counter. I myself did get caught up in the nostalgia of Truth and used it for a bit. But I realized it was too easy. So to counter it, as I hunter who likes to invade. I kill em with a sniper before they can get me with Truth. Line of sight is an easy thing to play with, some defenders will shoot their rockets at first sight, but if disrupt LOS, the rocket will try to track you through the wall and miss its target. Use the map to your advantage, teleports, lifters, (that one with the assembly line ) Don't like Snipers ?, linear fusion rifles are good aswell.

1 Odpowiedźtruth is genuinely the worst thing about gambit prime, no one asked for it to come back yet here we are with a tripod grenades and horseshoes aggressive tracking rocket that lets people with one arm get free kills in gambit. Yet if you complain about it the bots will just tell you “its a heavy weapon so it should be good” just like with wardcliff. Blows my mind

Not here to patronize you but I get army of ones and I don't even have truth. Dawnblade is the best super to use for invading in gambit and I only say that one because I don't think you are skilled enough to use Novawarp and chaos reach. Light machine guns run gambit and are easier to get multi kills and counter invaders. Two tailed fox can cause more mayhem than truth in the right hands. Don't get me wrong I believe truth and tracking rockets need a reload nerf but it isn't impossible to counter just really hard.

I did mine with Dawnblade and a Colony....push the spawn and spam grenades

Whenever an enemy has line of sight on you, take your shot and scoot on over to cover, and make sure the horseshoes and handgrenades autodetonation cant get to you. From long range, the Truth’s Rocket is pretty slow, so this works for me a bunch

1 OdpowiedźHave you tried bottom tree Dawnblade with the Fated for the Flame? That's the one with the seeking projectiles. I'm not trying to criticize or belittle; just offering a suggestion. I also know the struggle in getting that gun. I had to do it on my Hunter and got lucky as hell as the other team was all around the bank at once and I Bladebarraged them. It took more than a few games for that scenario to line up. Like I said, lucky as hell. Also if I remember correctly, you can also have a teammate wipe the whole team as well but they need to do it four times I think. I could be wrong. Good luck guardian. Keep at it. You'll get it.

1 OdpowiedźI have gotten multiple army of 1 medals using an LMG. You just gotta get close to them and if you can then it’s usually a team wipe.

3 OdpowiedziAt some point they are going to have to have banned weapons in gambit or something. It will be a never ending nerf fest unless they start to take this approach. We have lost two weapons to gambit so far and yes Truth has the same issues.

3 OdpowiedziWhat weapons are you trying to use when you invade? Are you playing normal or Prime? When I invade, I try to move in the first 5 to 10 seconds, so that when I start killing them, I'm not in a usual spawn area, making it harder for them to intsa kill me. I use both my Beloved to snipe the guys not grouped up, and then finish the grouped ones with truth. I suggest playing Prime, to increase chance of one rocket killing them all, or at least more than 1, while they are dpsing the boss.
