Losing all of my armor again kind of makes me want to stop playing this game again.
This isn’t a shit post. It’s just a... sad realization post.
I finally got the hunter legs from CoS this week, but it means nothing. I’ll only get to use them for a few more weeks before they’re left behind and I delete them.
Last time it happened with EP armor and Solstice armor.
When Curse of Osiris came out I quit this game for months, but I came back with Forsaken. I’ve taken breaks and whatnot, but I’ve generally enjoyed this game ever since. But, I just have that feeling again... why keep playing this game when loot just doesn’t matter and my time gets crapped on?
I think the changes being made to armor are good for the game, but I think Bungie should have done more to make sure our vault wasn’t wiped out again. They should have made all year 2 armor available as ornaments.
Even the cabal only destroyed our vaults once, Bungie. This is your second time in 2 years.
Edit: thanks for all the bumps. It would be cool if Bungie saw this and worked on getting all armor brought forward to 2.0. If they can turn all Eververse armor into ornaments, maybe they can do the same with all armor.

10 OdpowiedziI think the armour wipeout is the last straw for many people. Bungie are now 3 guardians down as my two sons and myself are not interested in the Shadowkeep. Its not just the armour but Bungies lack of updating or fixing their issues. Forums: pvp needs sorted out - Bungies feedback - silence. Rng needs to be improved - Bungies feedback - silence. Exotic quests choice e.g. Bad Juju, pvp guardians play pvp bounties to obtain it. Pve guardians play pve quests to obtain it - Bungies feedback - silence. A lot of the forum content is negative and repeated frequently with the same issues but nothing is being fixed. Now and again Cosmo will reply but as always ( I will pass this on - then he follows this with a question to throw everyone off as after a while everyone goes off topic ). If Bungie decide to fix pvp and rng maybe 3 guardians will return. I will be checking the forums after September to see if anything has changed. Hopefully far less negative feedback.

If they do armor right this time ie. making it customizable and not an RNG crap-shoot I'm A-OK with them taking away my old stuff.

81 OdpowiedziI have to wonder, every time people make posts like this, how many MMOs you people play. Because if you played any at all, you'd be immune to periodically losing all your gear to be replaced by new, better gear. Destiny isn't a MMORPG, but the loot chasing system is the same, and after a decade of World of Warcraft, I'm immune to it. New gear always supplants the old. New systems replace the old. I spent months, on more than one occasion, working through long quest chains to get legendary gear, only to see an expansion come and I lose it to a blue drop while leveling. It's the way of the world in most games where the carrot you're chasing is gear. I'm used to it. I'm not even going to worry about maxing out the Solstice armor to be able to get a 2.0 version of it, since, you know, 2.0 will be dropping everywhere by then. It's just how these games roll.

15 OdpowiedziIt'd be perfectly fine if the loot was exciting and fun to chase, but neither of those are here anymore and now it looks like the majority of the chase in Y3 is for Y1 gear. Great so glad I have to get all that stuff again, not. Such a shame to see how we left on such a good note in D1 to this horrible mess of a sequel.

If they didn't make your old armor useless, how could they reskin it and sell it back to you in Shadowkeep? C'mon, Guardian, think with your wallet, not with your brain.

I think I'm about done, but Idk though, I've had buyers regret ever since D2 came out, and each thing they seem to improve seem so boring and uncreativity. Oh well I guess, it is what it is though.

Just call the game “Destiny: Bounty Hunter” god damn I’m so over this trash game.... I hope Shadow Keep tanks and D2 finally dies and goes away for ever!!! This coming from a guy who WAS a huge fanboy and bought everything Destiny and played daily. Now I just despise Bungie and Destiny and can’t stand the unimaginative, repetitive, boring, reskined pointless grinding the game has become with pointless quest step after boring quest step, all for weapons we already paid for and earned once before in D1.... seriously I hope this game goes away for good.

Honestly, the armor in the game right now might as well be deleted, if they can come up with new and cool armor I don't mind too much.

you knwo what will make people stop playing? when they have one set of armor with god rolls which lasts 2, 3, 4 years. Clearly you have to re-farm everything to continue the longevity of the game. It is no different to season resets in game's such as Diablo. Or refarming raid gear in MMOS.

1 OdpowiedźI don't care about armor. What chaps my arse is putting in time for all these weapons and then releasing an expansion that renders many of them useless. At least it's not as bad as D1Y1 going into D2Y2 with the Y1 stuff being completely useless. I came back after about an 8 month hiatus for season 7 and put in work for some weapons: Breakneck, Delerium, Mountain Top, Broadsword, Wendigo and something else. I just hope they're still usable in the fall.

I’ve been disappointed since they made D1 year 1 loot obsolete and then blew all of are D1 loot up.....and then all the armor give and takes throughout D2. This is the number one reason I play Uber casual now, have not raided and have yet to preorder the next expansion....probably will not..why? I can play it whenever...it does not matter. I’ve learned this from Bungie. I love the Destiny universe, environments, and Bungie, but my time is valuable and I do not trust Bungie with it....just the truth. Gg

There’s a good chance Destiny 3 is launching next year or in the near future. Every piece of gear is going to be garbage anyways, enjoy the loot while you can

10 OdpowiedziHeres what i dont get : and i know this is gonna get me downvotes but i dont care. Why is everyone so grumpy about "losing their armor." If ANY of you have ever played another MMO, or hell any game for that matter, when you level up and grow in strength and what not, you have to re-gear yourself and earn new stuff. Same thing here. You shouldnt want to just use one armor set all the time, and change isnt always necessarily a bad thing. Really wish people would just wait and see and give this a chance instead of just crying about it. They may even may transmog for the raid armor. Nobody knows yet. Dont just give up, look at WoW and try to make comparisons, same basic concept, just no complaining over there for the exact same reasoning.

1 OdpowiedźAm I missing something, bungie it's making our armor lose it's perks or anything, they're just implementing a new system that will allow you to get better perks. Alongside the eververse changes, you'll get better armor that looks awesome in shadow keep, why are people mad, or have I missed something?
