Upvote all you like, it’s not going to happen.
Why?
It breaks the game. Takes us back to a point where gear was too easy to get...
Let’s look at this objectively:
1 Raid with an experienced team takes what? An hour maybe? That gives you on average, 3 RANDOM powerful drops.
3 x Menagerie runs at 20 mins each = the same time as a Raid.
3 x Menagerie runs LETS YOU CHOOSE what your drop will be. (If you need legs, you can choose legs).
Yes you may not get the roll you want but it’s a more efficient way of levelling for the same amount of time of a Raid.
Folk that are disappointed in the change really need to get a grip and understand they are playing a game that requires grind. 3 x Menagerie runs is not excessive in the grand scheme of things.

Oh ok I’ll grind for the god roll weapon/armour piece I want for hours upon hours. When Bungie made a bug that gave people actual motivation to grind the activity, they made it the best activity in the game. Take that bug away, that made it worth grinding. No one plays it. Yes the game is grindy. But I don’t want to grind years to get a 0.1% chance of getting the thing I want, with the perfect rolls.

Bro, menagerie is a guaranteed clear, with a virtually unlimited number of rewards you can earn per week. With a customizable setup to target exactly what you want, with a perk that lets you get double drops. I have friends who never got a fatebringer, or a ghorn until xur sold it. I ran Crota normal 70 times before I got my black hammer. A god roll should be rare. You maybe get one or two the whole time you play the game. You may never get it. If everyone has one, it’s not a god roll any more.

Then don’t grind 🤷🏻♂️ Appreciate your frustrations but did you ever grind for Vex Mytho? Or the OG G-Horn? There are folk who didn’t even get OG GHorn to drop. I was one of the last before Xur sold it (the second time). Can’t tell you how many runs I did of VoG to get Fatebringer. My point is, if you want something... you need to grind for it one way or another in this game. If you feel it’s too much of a ballache... no-one is forcing anyone to do it.

I never got ghorn, or vex mythoclast. Takes 20 minutes of your time (depending on your fire team but still roughly 20 minutes) and the gives me a drop I want, but I get shit roles. While I could have been 2/3 through crown of sorrow or any other raid with my bois, and get more rewards. Hell I could go to the gunsmith and get more rewards now, I’d have a better chance at getting guns with good rolls

Then go do that mate. Menagerie is obviously frustrating for you - why would you put yourself through it when you could be having more fun and doing something more productive in your opinion. Anything you can get in Menagerie has an alternative and viable equivalent you can obtain elsewhere. If this is more about “having to have EVERYTHING”... then I’m sorry to say this but, that sounds like a you problem. If you need it that badly... welcome to the grind 👍🏻 Maybe I’ll see you in there... I do Menagerie for fun... don’t really care for any of those “god rolls” as I have other go-to weapons.

Fun<Rewarding It’s a fun activity, not worth doing. I can only do a certain raid once per week. But I’d rather get the rewards I actually want, in a quicker timeframe than farming to same activity over and over. Which can burn people out very fast, which is why season of the drifter and the forge didn’t do very well, too repetitive, unrewarding. Now we have an activity that is fun to do, but used to be rewarding, giving you a legitimate chance of getting the thing you want, that brings you into the menagerie again to grind more. Now people are going to settle for mediocre weapons and armour rolls because it would be hell to grind through the same activity, over and over and over. Yeah there are alternatives, but beloved is one of the best snipers out there and if someone wants to get a QuickDraw perk, it’s gonna take some luck

Edytowany przez użytkownika Razgriz: 7/15/2019 2:06:20 PMI’m so glad you wrote “mediocre” reminds me of Mad Max Fury road every time 😂 You said it was a fun activity... well the activity hasn’t changed.. the way in which we are rewarded has changed. You cant triple-dip a single chest after one run any more. If the activity is fun for you... why don’t you want to do it 3 times? 6 times? 9 times a week? I know, I know, it looks like I’m trying to pick holes in your argument I’m not trying to be an arse about it. I’m of the opinion of nothing worth having is easy and/or quick. It’s another one of those things that will continue to divide the community. Just remember that there are equivalent weapons out there if Menagerie has really turned off for you 👍🏻

The activity doesn’t reward your time anymore, which is also why strikes are basically dead, other than the milestone or pinnacle weapons. Waste 10-20 minutes of your time, you get jack. Menagerie was rewarding to the player, with increased drops of loot it pulls the players back in repeatedly, hey I wouldn’t get a god roll every time, but having an increased chance of getting a good gun actually drove people to invest time into the menagerie. And now that has been taken away, less and less people are going to play it due to its unrewarding nature. “You like the look of the armour? Have fun doing the activity over and over until you get an enhanced perk. Don’t want that specific enhanced perk? Well have fun grinding over and over for that again.” Which is why people settle would easily just settle for average armour and weapon perk combinations because it’d be pretty easy to become burnt out on a 20 minute long activity that doesn’t provide anything else than a single useful loot drop. The chalice doesn’t even exclusively give menagerie fear if you choose a different combination. Want that god roll fusion rifle that butchers enemies in crucible? And have it guaranteed to drop? Do the menagerie over and over and over and over...

So it’s more about the time:reward ratio as opposed to fun-factor. I get that. The time I spent on obtaining GHorn 😱 wow... although I could get that through any activity. Reward though, means different things to different people. Some folk feel rewarded by any drop so long as it increases their Power Level. Some feel rewarded by a drop that allows them to upgrade a particular weapon. Some (and this is probably the majority) feel rewarded by the sweetest of sweet rolls on a weapon. With this ratio though, the more time invested, the greater the reward when it does finally drop. (I know that’s of little comfort to people hunting particular rolls) I spent HOURS... over MONTHS trying to get the last Sleeper Node on Mars to drop for me. It’s all RNG based. Tiny, tiny reward in the eyes of many but (call me a little OCD), the 39/40 on the Triumph was really doing my head in! 😂 You don’t strike me as an idiot or a new player so thank you for having an actual conversation with me raising valid points but also.... this is Destiny brother.. it’s always been this way.

Fun right now, but I said the same with gambit prime, 48 hours into it, that’s a no.
