I think that the chest exploit made the menagerie more fun since it allowed for easier grinding, and I’m pretty sure most people agree with me when I say that the chest exploit at the end of the menagerie made it much more fun. I would like to see this return, and I think it, or something like it (maybe limiting it to 3) would be beneficial for the menagerie.
Edit: The comments did a great job of highlighting that there would be no way that they would keep something like this in the game. They also highlighted that the passage above was more of a butthurt rant whining about the chest patch, which is 100% true. I think that the idea to give extra chests for flawless encounters is a good idea. To add on to this idea I would say that each chest after the first one should double in the amount of runes required per slot. This would help players spend all of the runes that they have been accumulating since the patch.

I am indifferent on the matter. I never found any use for the exploit in the past.
-
I agree with your concept but it shouldn’t be the exploit. They should just put 3 chests at the end and then maybe add extra for meeting certain conditions.
-
They should just offer 3 chest at the end

3 OdpowiedziGladd had a couple of good suggestions. Two chests if you complete all the steps in the alloted time. 2 chests for completing Heroic and 3 if you complete it in the allotted time.

11 OdpowiedziIt's no amazing to see hundreds of votes supporting explointing. It's one thing to give feedback to make sure an activity is rewarding or suggestions to make it better. It's another so support exploiting game mechanics for one's own benefit. This community is getting worse every year.

31 Odpowiedzifirst you sound like a ignorant spoiled child. second what the hell was "FUN" about running out of the area, reloading the chalice and running back to open a chest? just what part of that is FUN? you just want free loot with no effort, at least be honest.

10 OdpowiedziUpvote all you like, it’s not going to happen. Why? It breaks the game. Takes us back to a point where gear was too easy to get... Let’s look at this objectively: 1 Raid with an experienced team takes what? An hour maybe? That gives you on average, 3 RANDOM powerful drops. 3 x Menagerie runs at 20 mins each = the same time as a Raid. 3 x Menagerie runs LETS YOU CHOOSE what your drop will be. (If you need legs, you can choose legs). Yes you may not get the roll you want but it’s a more efficient way of levelling for the same amount of time of a Raid. Folk that are disappointed in the change really need to get a grip and understand they are playing a game that requires grind. 3 x Menagerie runs is not excessive in the grand scheme of things.

Edytowany przez użytkownika zekuel: 7/15/2019 1:51:25 PMI would prefer a chest multiplier for getting flawless events. *2,*3, and another one for heroic so *2,*3,& *4. They should really do this in the reckoning too. I have done over 250 to 300 waking vigil and still not the roll I want. The odds are 1 in 300 for a specific roll and who knows when I’ll get it now. This is the only one I went for.

How many chest do you get at the end of a strike? Why should the menagerie be any different? With a decent fireteam they both take about the same effort.

1 OdpowiedźWhat I'm finding hilarious now is that from doing weekly stuff you get rewarded with far more runes than you can possibly use, it's almost as if they intended us to do the chest farm lol.
-
Bungie needs to find a middle ground! It was an exploit, got fixed but just getting 1 chest at the end is not the right answer too. Maybe getting the option to get 2 chest openings with that perk that gives an extra randon drop or maybe 3 chest openings. Mangerie is the best activity in the game but this way is going to end in a reckoning 2.0.

7 OdpowiedziIt was not unlimited anyway, because we had to grind for runes first. Now everyone is just stockpiling runes and has no way of spending them. I would suggest that it should be possible to turn in X numbers of runes to get an additional reward.

3 OdpowiedziI just want my time investment too feel respected... if their was 3 chests at the end that’d be perfect.

8 Odpowiedzii Think Each Encounter should have its own chest that would def fix the issue

3 OdpowiedziI really wish they would as I have not gotten a single roll on anything that I want and I would bet that I have gotten at least 40-50 of just the Austringer trying to get what I want on it. I have gotten Air assault and under dog on about half of those.
-
3 OdpowiedziJust add chest after each sub-encounter, raid-like. Every time I do Menagerie, people simply wait till timer ends and run to the next room. Then burn a boss, grab final chest's stuff and leave.

2 OdpowiedziPlayers wanted the grind back in D2, now they're crying that the grind is back. What.

Edytowany przez użytkownika Pupil_63: 7/15/2019 1:05:50 PMIt ain't even got to be an exploit, Hell just throw 4 to 6 more chest around the ship and whoever can find 'em within the ending timer then so be it and good luck!
-
It wouldn't come back even with a "like this post" or a petition thread. Might as well give up. Just run it. It's not bad once hit 750. 🤷♂️ you can get it done in 3 encounters.
-
It's not going to happen. Stop wasting your and everyone's time.

Edytowany przez użytkownika Tis-but-a-scratch: 7/15/2019 1:06:12 PMMy bet is it wasn’t even an exploit or glitch. It was working as intended to get player numbers up and possibly as a test to see what doing something like that does for player numbers and time played. I’ve barely played since the “fix” so if bungie is looking for what I stated above they got their answer from me. Now it’s just another boring rerun. At least my time invested was rewarded and at least I had a better chance of being rewarding with more than one chest with a rotten roll.

When will dedtiny players admit they don't like to actually play the game and are just here to get loot?

1 OdpowiedźWhat I don't understand is why there's all that time left at the end if you aren't meant to open the chest multiple times...

I just saw it as having the runes and actual time to do it. You should be allowed to grab a few rolls from the chests anyway
