The instances of Lag in this game and latency and being shot literally through walls is a joke at this point. For a game where PvP is a big selling factor, from a multi-million dollar company, not having dedicated servers in 2019 is a joke.

You do understand that almost no arena style pvp games on console have had dedicated servers since the 360/ps3 years, right? Servers/server maintenance is quite pricey, even in 2019. So would you be willing to pay a hefty monthly server rate, in order to have dedicated servers?

Imagine in 2020 still playing on peer to peer connections at 30 FPS. I loved that “hybrid server” BS they tried to feed us before release. 🙄

12 OdpowiedziThey should remove pvp completely, pvp is for the noobs that can't pve.

A 2019 PvP without Dedicated Servers is a joke.

Edytowany przez użytkownika Soul: 5/14/2019 9:48:48 PMI agree but one thing that I would say is even more vital...separate sandboxes for pve and pvp trying to balance weapons across both is stupid idea - look at machine guns (or sniperguns as I call them) and how they have absolutely ruled gambit since they came in. Separate sandboxes would allow this to be tuned without ruining the pve experience. I very much doubt this will happen however

I don't play pvp other than for leveling sake or quests that require me to play it but I don't have anything against it. I just don't enjoy it or think that it is fun. While I don't want Bungie to remove pvp, I do think its time for Bungie to completely separate pve and pvp in D3. I personally would like all the armor/weapons to have their own pvp/pve perk trees that activate for said content, locking out the perks for the opposite content. That would keep any balancing limited to the said activity without effecting the other. I also think its time for weapon/exotic questlines to have separate pve/pvp only pathlines, quest steps. Anyways, just my 2 cents. Right now, as someone that has preordered everything Destiny, D3 is a wait and see at best.

16 OdpowiedziDedicated servers are nice, but you still have an issue of client internet connections being bad. P2P systems tend to make the best connection host anyway (in theory but that would be a net code issue) so the real issue is people with bad Internet, which dedicated servers won’t fix.

1 OdpowiedźLol. I come back years later and the forums are still complaining about the same things. One day you’ll quit and learn. :)

35 OdpowiedziIm hoping for less of a focus on PVP its done nothing for the IP... its just been a mess and a waste of resources for a mode that is played by a minority and is considered one of the worst pvp experience in a triple A game thats still live.... If the rumours are true and they are mixing the sandbox with PVP then its a title I will not be picking up.

4 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika Demon_XXVII: 5/14/2019 5:07:34 AMIt needs Dedicated Servers (for both PvE & PvP) And separate weaponry/gear stats/numbers/perk-balancing for both formats (never wreck a weapon/armour/class/subclass because one side screams 'nerf' louder than the other) And maybe even DLC packages that just specifically add to PvP or PvE (or separate annual passes for either format) Not too expensive ....but enough to create Maps, Game modes, cosmetic rewards etc D3 DEFINITELY NEEDS new writing, in depth story, strikes, faction ranking, return to the larger build tree Less grind (running the same stuff over and over again to bump up +1 power level, grind for throwaway junk) more reason & detail/speciality in the Guardian build I'd buy great PvE Comet DLC's for £60+ every 4 months Maybe even a monthly £10 sub for PvP Side note: D2 definitely needs a new 'Comet' dlc in Sept/October....the Annual Pass (this first D2 version) didn't work at all

27 OdpowiedziThe game's engine simply wont' work with that kind of networking....and the Activision contract didn't allow enough time for Bungie to change to one that does. Hopefully they'll take the time to do this now that Activision is out of the picture.

2 OdpowiedziDedicated servers & 60fps on Console

14 Odpowiedzi1. They can’t afford it 2. PvP is better than PvE in Destiny
-
4 OdpowiedziIll only buy D3 if bungie takes their time with it. We aren’t in any hurry. Dont rush the game. Give us the best destiny experience possible. And i might be in the minority, but i want another refresh. Scrap everything and start over again because im not attached to anything in D2.
-
8 OdpowiedziThey needed Activision for dedicated servers, at this point D3 is focused on milking us like cows.
-
2 OdpowiedziThe quality of PvP will always falter because of PvE. The same can be said for PvE. Both modes hold each other back. Only one can be an after thought. And we saw what happened when PvE became the after thought.

18 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika Hellekeen: 5/15/2019 6:09:02 AMJust to be clear : Bungie HAS dedicatd servers for PvP. the Korean version "Destiny:Guardians" is currently out there and perfectly has dedicated servers running for PvP since asians , especially Koreans would not tolerate the p2p architecture for a competitive PvP mode. and since Koreans are perfectly okay with pay to win models in their games, Destiny:Guardians also has Yuna, a vendor for exotics for real money (just like xur) so it seems that the equation is Dedicated servers = must have pay to win . pick your poison.

Edytowany przez użytkownika U17575342: 5/15/2019 6:24:44 PMIf D3 doesn't have dedicated servers, then it's best it doesn't even get released. Don't listen to these pvp sweats who probably ddos their way to NF and would be average at best on a level playing field.

Maybe people should get better internet. 🤔

You make some valid points and i agree that eververse must be removed from this game but, Whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather, he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank just outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold
-
1 OdpowiedźJust remove PvE to make room for dedicated PvP servers. Then everyone would be happy; I'm sure of it.

21 OdpowiedziSounds like someone has internet issues that aren't Bungie's problem

just no ....:( pvp is what keeps the game rolling thru content drought
