Why don't you want enhancement cores in infusion?

My main problem is how bungie is going about addressing this issue. So they want infusion to be impactful so they added cores to the cost. But their solution to people not wanting cores in infusion is to make cores easier to get. The problem is that more cores means infusion becomes less impactful... So why not just remove the cost of cores? I don’t think anybody minds if they are kinda scarce and only used for masterworking, so why not just leave it st that?

At this point even if you disagree and think things are fine how can you not see the detriment it’s caused this game and community!? This game is no where near the level it was at during age of triumph. The community happiness and the game’s overall popularity has fallen tremendously. And it’s 100% due to bungie swinging way to hard toward the hardcore side on topics that are anything but. Leveling in the game and infusing is a basic day 1 part of the game. Grinding for coveted gear is the end game simple as that. Bungie guts the entire game and people say it’s too casual when in reality that is not casual destiny it’s just not destiny at all. Destinys end game is about the chase. Playing with the gear you want is a basic part of the game otherwise what’s the point of grinding for god-rolls when you can’t even use them for half the season until you get all characters to 700. At this point yeah you could say infusion is fine but that’s because people have altered the way they want to play. News flash people get bored playing the way you force them to. That’s why destiny ended up being such a hit. Because at the point of rise of iron you could play anything you wanted to level up. Then you would move to different parts of the game depending on the weapon you wanted to chase. That’s all gone now, these days you play the milestones for 3 weeks or you just give up after a while because the game is not enjoyable using double sidearms because you have no cores to infuse or don’t want to waste them. Then you have masterworking. No one even cares because they just horde there cores for the next level bump just to stay relevant. Now Bungie has added the easy button to get higher power making the grind to 700 even more of a joke. Why would people come grind your game when they know you’ll just have bounties to bring them up to the new light level? They just keep trying to fix a broken system and with every new system the layers of disfunction just increase more and more. Just take them out so we don’t have to hear about this topic ever again. No new players want to join when they see Bungie blatantly ignoring the community on this issue.

Yes remove them. They add zero value in terms of infusion. If they were removed from infusion would ppl stop playing? Not likely.. they have in fact stopped playing because of them. If players have "hundreds" then the value they are supposed to have is removed as that player won't need to make a hard choice. If players have too few then it becomes a major pain point. Running Spider bounties and currency exchanges are boring and one is an actual work around.. lol Adding more isnt the answer. Personally I haven't masterworked any armor since Forsaken released. Maybe 1 or 2 weapons.. It also ham strings you into one or two sets of gear.. that's not exactly what you want from a loot/shooter or MMO type game. Forced to try new builds? Please.. most of us have been playing since D1 beta. Do you really think we need to try new builds? That we didn't do that years ago. Thus already knowing what we like? I spent hours farming gear with rolls I want. Now you want me to use this other stuff? Umm. No. Players should have a universal experience when it comes to leveling. It should never be anything but. Right now 1 persons experience can be vastly different than anothers with equal play time. That's a problem.. and has been going back to D1.

I've stopped playing because of it. If infusion stops trying to be "impactful and meaningful" I'll gladly come back.

Working through the Mars story, I only had one thought in my mind - boy, I can't wait until I can come back and enjoy this mission with my auto-rifle. Sick of seeing my dude reload a sidearm. Every cut scene - fuk this spiky shoulders drone head cuck and his 3000 year old doc martens shoes - I'm sure the hive god Xol is shivering in their carapace just looking at us - I can't stand it anymore (skips cut scene.) Instead of enjoying the story and living the moment, I was just trying to get it over with just to come back later and play it how I like. That is horrible game play design.

Why not make a more abundant and new resource called fusion cores that are obtained from mostly all parts of gameplay, and depending on activity they give a certain amount. Then we can keep Enhancement Cores for Masterworking items/gear and they can be a bit more scarce for value. Meaning more purposeful masterworking of gear instead of masterworking everything in your vault.

Wow, how benevolent of Bungie to leave us this thread to see once again that players think that enhancement cores should be removed from infusion. Glad they didn’t remove it as part of the scrubbing. I’m sure it’s going to be instrumental in expressing to them that players want enhancement cores removed from infusion costs.

I don't really have a problem with them at all, its not that big of a issue for me, if I'm low on them, I'll just grind the bounties if I need them, its not that big a deal, the one thing I dislike is changing the game to benefit others, when is no problem at all. I dislike self intitled people that push this change, just to benefit them when others don't want the change at all like me. I say keep it the way it is.

How about everybody just play the game as it was intended to be played. I'm so sick and tired of all the cry babies in this damn forum....

I voted Yes, but at this point, I don't really give a shit if Bungie removes them from infusing or just shoves them up their rectum. I've wanted them removed for 5 months, and it hasn't happened. I'm at 700 on all 3 of my characters, so I feel that everyone else should suffer through the grind as I had to.
