Anyone else think the Travellers reawakening was very sudden but had not substance
What does the traveller being awake mean ? Nothing has happened other than The Darkness reawakening also ,Which we will deal with in D3 most likely ,But that’s about it
If Ulan Tans theory is correct when the light gets stronger ,so does the Darkness ,So why is the Darkness on its way here right now to invade ,whereas the traveller is just sitting here idle ,with the only difference being rocks fly around it now
I had hoped as the Seasons passed chunks of the traveller would have opened up ,Slowly revealing what’s inside right upon revealing it in D3 ,I think that’d be cool
For those who care about the lore I care for fighting for the city and it’s Vanguard far far more than Protecting the traveller ,I just can’t care for something that hasn’t changed since D2s campaign

I’m not a lore master, so I’m not entirely sure, but in essence when it says the Traveler has awakened it means that it is working again. It’s no longer lying dormant, instead it’s creating new ghosts and expanding its light. In Forsaken we saw one piece of how it’s changed, it communicates with us (Something that has almost never happened to my knowledge) The Traveler laid dormant for all those years on purpose. It was trying to achieve 2 goals. 1: Gather it’s strength back. 2: Evade the Darkness. When Ghaul was reborn, the Traveler realized it needed to intervene to stop him, and so it did. However, it’s intervention caused the awakening of the darkness. So now we wait for the darkness to arrive. As for seeing the inside of the Traveler, I think that is reserved for the epic finale of D3. I imagine that the Traveler and the Darkness will most likely both shirk their shells and unleash on each other.

Most anti climatic thing ever. Don't know why it chose to awaken, don't have the slightest clue how, don't even have an idea to who it is, doesn't have any personal connection or feel to the character, and it's pretty much basically a worthless sphere of whatever that literally just looks like some random planet or moon in the backdrop. All the years of playing Destiny, and the thing literally seems like some lifeless and worthless object taking up background space. It's supposed to be the most important facet, but absolutely no one cares less about it.

4 OdpowiedziIt is most likley waiting. The blast it sent out at the end of d2 vanilla didn't change anything so it was most likley a challenge to the pyramid ships

The traveler looks very crippled and I'm not even sure if it's capable of moving around.
Do You Want It To Run Like It Did To So Many Other Species?
1 OdpowiedźIt awoke because Ghaul died, and Ghaul had a massive amount of souls tied to him based on how many species, planets, guardians he's killed. Technically being a Guardian at the time, all that excessive energy was returned to the Traveler. Death revitalizes the Traveler and that's why Guardians were born after it went dormant. Guardians are a sort of vat that gathers Light from murder. Think of how the Blind Well works, you need to kill to charge the well with Light. Same thing goes for the Traveler.

Weakened.

Looks like a city is inside the traveler. If you look in the broken pieces
-
You honestly believe he woke up to defeat ghaul? He was just having a terrible nightmare about him still being trapped in this game.

Are the new Forsaken supers nothing to you? Is that not something new that happened when the Traveler woke up? When a volcano erupts, it doesn’t just erupt real fast and it’s over. It’s a slow process.

1 OdpowiedźI think you're putting in way too much thought into this. Or should I say I think you've given this topic much more thought than BUNGIE ever did or would.

I kinda think the traveler is working on new supers. I mean, how’d we get the Forsaken subclass trees?
