It was fun in Destiny 1 because all of his possible locations were pretty close together in the tower. I don't want to have to search the entire solar system and sit through loading screen after loading screen just to find him.

Let’s beef that Sad Opioid affected noodledong up a bit. Give us 2 Bounties a week to complete. (Where when both completed, you can get a Powerful Exotic Reward) Xur will sell you 2 Cards, similar to the nightfall card, (Test of Fate, & Lucky Chance) - where you can apply this, to your Everyday Activity, to increase your rewards. Cards: TEST OF FATE: - "A will can be tested through the sands of time, your resolve will be questioned, and will you survive?" Note about the card and how it works: 1) - there are no buffs or burns for you, a random Burn will be added without your notice that affects your incoming damage. (Applies for all PVE / GAMBIT Activities, but not for Nightfall / Raids / PVP) 2) - the Roll on the Card when you use it, is random, it simply activates by opening the challenge cards and pressing Activate. 3) - the card can be de activated at any time but has a 24 hour window cool down. 4) - card can be re rolled with glimmer, but only once. 5) - the card has the same de buffs as the Nightfall card. 6) - you can only use one card at a time. 7) - each card has its specific use that pertains to that week’s bounty. 8) – Card gets omitted by Nightfall Card. 9) – Handicap Modifier can be applied. I forgot he existed, he wont give me any forsaken exotics so he’s pointless. Before forsaken everyone who out in enough time in destiny already had all exotics, removing xur the ability to grant forsaken exotics was stupid.

Xur should sell Glass Needles so we can roll Exotics the way we want to, instead of waiting for months till he sells what you need with the rolls you want

The search for Old Tentacle-Puss COULD be fun, under certain circumstances. 1. He would need more places to be hiding. Maybe a spot on every planet, two on Earth and Nessus because they're big. 2. There would need to be clues on where to find him, allowing players to locate him by mindwork instead of luck. 3. He would need to have something worth seeking him out for. It's time for him to sell Forsaken exotics. Maybe a few other cool toys, too.

It has always been pointless, but it would be even more pointless to change it. People who enjoy the task of finding him without any help can do so, and a simple web search is all that is needed for those that don't.

Voted it's fun... Back then that is. As in, in D1. Every friday before going to school(Was in High School for a majority of D1's lifepspan) I'd always open up youtube when I get the chance to see what Xur was selling, when I had Fridays off, my friends and I would stay up until Xur arrived and actually looked for him in the tower and reef. The feeling of "Oh man I can't wait to see what he's got", or staying up until he arrives to see what goodies he's brought is just not there anymore, and hasn't been since.. ever. With the removal of 3oC now, there's still a bunch of people who do not have Forsaken exotics, I think now would be ok for him to sell them. Otherwise, what's he there for? A lot of people already have the shit he sells anyway. Getting rid of his icon on the map had me like "What the -blam!-le was the point of that?"

Never understood why people complained about him being on the map, if people want to find him now they just Google him looking on a different map.
