If you don't give a shit then carry on. Nothing to see here.
So a lot of you may know about my headaches. I've mentioned them before but if you don't know, I've had a headache for a year and a half. It started from an amusement park ride and it's never gone away. I've seen a ton of doctors but none of them had a clue until now.
I did some tests yesterday. Mostly eyes, ears, and memory. I had wires stuck all over my face to track my eye movements and took a computer test to see how my memory was. I'd never done anything like this before.
After the tests I saw a doctor who said he was sure I had post concussion syndrome. Every other doctor I've seen all say "it can't be a concussion" turns out they were all wrong. On that amusement park ride, my brain hit the inside of my skull. I didn't show normal concussion symptoms, so no one thought it was one until they did this type of tests. The doctor said my eyes were a dead giveaway. They dart around involuntarily and never stop moving
The reason my head hasn't healed is because since no one thought it was a concussion, no one treated it as a concussion and I've continued to do things that would aggravate or affect it without knowing
It's nice to finally know what's causing my headache after a year and a half, but it does mean bad things too
Good things: we're sure I can be healed through the right kind of therapy
Bad things: I can't do the things I enjoy anymore. No extremely loud or fast-paced music, video games should be played no more than once a month, I can't go to a specific concert I was looking forward to, soccer will be affected, I can't see movies in theaters more than once every few months, I have to avoid any kind of strong stimulation.
So there we have it. I'll be fixed in (hopefully) less than a year and my life will suck until then

3 Odpowiedzimy headaches were from a slug who crawled inside my brain and gave me bad luck. luckily the scorpions in my skull chased it out
Best of luck dude. I hope your brain gets massaged back into good health very soon
-
Yikes! Brain injuries are scary. Best of luck healing!
-
Hope you recover quickly and tough luck.

I'm glad that you'll get the treatment you need to feel better but what you'll have to essentially give up to do that really sucks. My sympathies 🙁

Feels bad and feels good man

That sounds like absolute torture. Thankfully you'll be able to get back on your feet! I wish you luck!
-
It's better to know what the problem is and fix it by not doing those things for a short time now, rather than not knowing and making it worse now so you can't ever do those things later.
-
Let me know when you're fixed and need some strong stimulation. 😉
-
look do you want your life to suck twice as much for a year, or just some forever
-
I've had two concussions, one from the conventional "blow to the head" method and one, similar to yours because of an unconventional cause (explosion blast wave). Err on the side of caution in your activities, take it easy, pay attention to what your body is telling you and promptly report any changes to your doc, no matter how insignificant they may seem.

that sucks man. I hope you find something to do.
-
At least this is only for a year. You can get properly back into your hobbies after, and this gives you the opportunity to find even more hobbies. Nothing worse than when you find out doctors have messed up, but at least you found the solution eventually. Good luck for this year!

Hold your head high. I have a back injury that will prevent me from doing certain things for the rest of my life. Don't let this stuff bring ya down.

F. That’s got to suck.
baited
6 OdpowiedziSo, when you asked for music recommendations, we ended up hurting you?

Other bright side: Much like overconsumption of food strips it of its meaning and bloats one self, taking a step back from screen time will provide you the ability to really engage in the moment and take a break from all the virtual yelling, screaming and fear mongering present throughout the World Wide Web. I wish you the best, bud.

2 OdpowiedziAw, mate, that sucks! But hey, at least you can take steps to get better now! It'll be a rough process, but hopefully you'll make it through. We're all here if ya need some livening up in your life!
BLEH, this post is too positive and most have some negativity associated with it: You seem like a cat person.
1 OdpowiedźDo you mean avoid audio/video stimulation or all stimulation like exercise, ect.

Ouch. I'm sorry that happened to you. I wish you a speedy and uneventful recovery.

That honestly sounds terrible. Hopefully you recover quickly so you can get back to doing what you enjoy.
