Now let me say before i start, im not all that good at PVP, in most games, not just D2. so that being said, my main issue with pvp here is that fact that im just not having any fun at all. yes it might be because im not very good. and if it wasn't for the fact that this game almost expects/ makes you play pvp to ear certain rewards i would'nt play it, but the fact that it does make no sense at all to me. how can i get something like Luna if i physically unable to do well enough to get it? thats a bit screwed, isnt it?
If anything the skill matching in pvp should be improved to where when i get into a game i have a chance of doing even halfway well instead of being stomped the whole time.
And to all you players who are actually good, congrats, well done. honestly good for you! but for the large chunk of us who cant afford to spend time to "git gud", its a very frustrating experience.

1 OdpowiedźAgree, Crucible very poor on the customer dissatisfaction scale. You know something is serious wrong when: o Your Fighting Lion does little to no damage in PVP as it does in PVE. But it thing Bungie also needs to fix the back wash of the weapon, too many self kills. Need to adjust friendly fire setting to stop the suicide by your own weapon. o You empty your Shotgun Mag in close range and your opponent still never dies, but they can still turn around and melee hit once to down you. o Your opponents are running around with Red, White, Green bars and it takes your Fire Team of 4 or 6 players to down them. o In the first 30 seconds of the game your team losing 30 to Zero and your opponents already have there supers. Good Grief is a long 5 mins or so for the game to end. Uncle. o Crucible Scrapper Bounties appear to be easy but not achievable. e.g. 3 Precision kills. (Evening set up in a lane and landing between 7 to 12 critical hits to the head of my opponents and they still live.) I wonder if Bungie tracks how many Scrapper bounties are dismantled, rejected or expired by players not bothering wasting their time on impossible goal? o Your opponents are able to snipe you with a Jade Rabbit like a DARCI from long range, even if you are in your fire team protective rift. Not Cool. (In a recent match, they smoked our whole fire team over and over again. But none of my fire team wanna to depart the game as our Crucible Tokens were active. I retro though we should of bailed. Only one of our Fire Team received something useful, the rest receive coins or crap. ;-( ) Bungie should Scrap (pun) Crucible if they are not going to invest into better technology and dedicated game servers on this current unfair system. Plus it is a real time waste with little to no reward to player's benefit. I'm proof, my efficiency level was .96, now .81 after 13 months in destiny 2. If any thing, I should be averaging around 1.28 by now, as I know from my perspective, I create more opportunities, I'm set to get the first critical hits of my opponents and back my follow fire team mates.

I totally agree with you. The game is supposed to be fun. I should be able to play PvP because I enjoy it rather than because it's a constant training. I understand improving but I don't want to spend months on "git gud" just for the sake of "enjoying a crucible match" it's simply not worth. If it has to be that hard to simply enjoy 1 PvP match I'd rather quit crucible and play something else.
-
It ain't great. My K/D is 1.7 and I still don't enjoy it. Once I hit the power cap, I'm not playing anymore of it. Same with Gambit.
-
All the fools that say Git Gud need to realise some of just hate pvp and are only doing it for the powerful engram via weekly challenge. Yes I want the weapons like luna's and not forgotten but the game is so skewed always putting noobs and not skilled (i.e. me) and full teams of very good players. Fair play to the players that are good, not there fault but the game needs a balancing system in place to make it fun in quickplay
-
2 OdpowiedziAgreed 100%, they completely ruined quickplay for casuals and they’re even going to nerf Telesto because all the dudes running around with Luna’s complained they were getting outgunned lol. “Oh not fair I can’t slaughter n00bs with my Luna because of Telesto ... “ quickplay has practically turned into Comp with no objectives. Quickplay used to be an evenly balanced fun playground for casuals to run some pvp but no longer ... I got a news flash for everyone grinding for pinnacle weapons with the intent of stomping casuals in quickplay, don’t waste your time because there aren’t any casuals left in quickplay, all you’re going to find there waiting for you are other sweaty try hards with pinnacle weapons. I get the point of having powerful weapons as rewards for grinding or high skill play but what good is it if there’s no one left playing except try hards with the same weapons as you?
-
On the plus side, there is nothing more satisfying than using a regular RNG Legendary drop to kill a bunch of people who are using Luna's Howl and Not Forgotten. I hope those guns were worth the $1000 they spent on a recovery or whatevah. ;)

Crucible is TRASH!!! Many of the trolls on this site will defend it, but the numbers continue to decline as people realize going for the quest guns aren't worth playing crucible. I got redrixs/luna but I have no desire to grind for the current guns given the current state of crucible. Matches are stomp or get stomped. It's boring and predicable. People are not having fun. Well I should say MOST people aren't having fun. Those stomping are having a blast. Within 6 months they will all be playing each other as this franchise fails due to their inability to actually listen/respond to the community. I don't have 1 remaining clan member from the first 3 clans I joined. Each clan had 100 members. I don't have one friend who still plays this game. I tried to get 5 people to sign up prior to BA and now I wouldn't even give this game to someone I don't like. Bungie's slogan should be "More of the Same". BA is a huge fail. I realize it's End Game content, however they should have provided new content to grind for level up. This is the first time I have not leveled my characters. I tried to get into it but I'm just over the poor rewards/duplicates. The milestones are more of the same and BA isn't worth it.

YOU DO NOT GET LUNAS HOWL. That simple I don't have it I don't care pvp is cancer to destiny. Let them have it maybe we can build a wall around the crucible one day to keep them out.
-
Dear Player, We hear you. You are unhappy with our current matchmaking algorithms. To solve the problem, we will ensure that you are matched with players that have a k/d ratio of at least 10.0/1.0. In addition, we will ensure that you are matched with people having both Luna’s Howl and a very fast internet connection. Thank you for your feedback, and thanks for playing. Eyes up Guardian! -Bungie

Supers, heavy, shotguns, Shoulder charge, handheld supernovae are just some examples of things Bungie has done to make crucible easier for lower skilled players and it is definitely more chaotic, less skill based, and overall much more fun for everyone in a quickplay game mode that doesn't mean anything in a competitive sense.
-
I’m with the mentality of “if you aren’t good enough to hang then oh well”.

Git gud?

9 OdpowiedziBungie tried to make crucible “fun” for lower skilled players with Skill Based Match Making, but that just resulted in it not being fun for anyone.

The shoe was on the other foot for years, this was overdue. The old ways failed, results are in.

I hate pve but you don’t see me complaining about exotics that u can only get from pve..

7 OdpowiedziI completely agree, I'm slightly above average, about a 1.6kd across any fps I play, and I cant enjoy crucible either. It's a massive sweatfest with people just crutching on these massively over powered weapons. You dont see people using auto rifles, just hand cannons and the occasional pulse rifle. The only fusion you see is telesto, otherwise its shotguns, oh, apparently there are snipers in this game too....never see them You rarely see dawnblade, just nova warp. Almost never see striker titans anymore, just sentinel with ursa Rarely see golden gun, just blade barrage with shards of galanor. No hard light, no cerberus, no suros, no skyburners, no Polaris. Just, sweat.
-
6 OdpowiedziLuna’s has very much ruined quickplay. Forget even attempting Comp now. I don’t know why Bungie has such a massive love affair with over powered hand cannons. I’m a 1.3 KD and until Luna’s and the sweats invaded quickplay, I found crucible quite fun. A gun like Luna’s just pushes a bigger wedge between great and average players. What a terrible idea.
-
1 OdpowiedźThen play more and get better. Everyone starts off by not being "pros". I wouldn't consider myself a pro but I was a lot worse especially in D1. Also try playing with friends or a clan. Makes it more enjoyable

I’m the wise words of many before me and infact something that I did For myself
git gud
4 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika iliopoulosXD: 12/7/2018 4:52:46 PMCrucible is fine...my only issue is that pinnacle weapons make the best players unstoppable and theres no reason those weapons shouldnt be available for Valor achievements. Thats my only issue. Im ok and i do well... but every once and i while i get Luna Howled or Not Forgottoned an entire match. Sure there are competitive counters...Trust...maybe a god roll Bygones...but lets be honest when a tier 1 competitive player or team spawns in and your just getting farmed by 2 taps....theres no counter and you just cant “get good” your way out of that freight train. Im just saying. Its cheap.

Ttk for vets is loooooow. Ttk for new players is slightly slower than COD. As far as feels. Stick with your team. Seriously, I find a guy the moment we start and I decide I'm his shadow. Or I makes sure I have one. This will help you win engagemnents much more efficiently. Outskde of team play, hug the -blam!-ing walls. Hug them I said! Your ability to not be hit is tantamount to victory, don't stand in the hallway like a rhino. Don't contest players controlling hallways. Flanking is living 3018 be smart. I know we had a go faster update but slow down and learn your bearings. Redrawn is redrawn. Don't allow the idea of or the practice of dying over and over to affect gameplay.

19 OdpowiedziGit Gud, every multiplayer game sucks for low skilled players

This is honestly the worst PvP experience I have had in all my years of virtual existence. The lag is atrocious and if it was any other game, I would promptly leave the server. I also don't understand with so much lamentation about lag, how players manage such precise shots around corners, into corners and accomplish defilade fire so well. Those who sit astride the mountain of easily farmed players seem overly proud of their nominal accomplishments, especially when there seems to be a non-existent skill based matchmaker. I salute those who seek to improve their "skills", yet the forums are seemingly frequented by those who garner the most attention by their posturing. I continue to play PvP not well, but in the forlorn and misplaced hope that the masochist bent on quest completion is worth my time.
-
If it's that frustrating then don't play. There's a whole PvE for you. Personally, in D1, I can't even find a match because of the whole skill based thing. Sometimes I have to switch accounts to even be able to play at all. You shouldn't be rewarded with easy matches for being bad, and punished for being decent. Not to be a CoD worshiper, but CoD has matchmaking that balances teams while making sure player skill levels somewhat reflect their performance. It's as simple as, your skill should reflect your numbers. Crying about matchmaking is pathetic. If you're that bad at PvP in general and it's that frustrating, it's just not for you.
-
1 OdpowiedźWhile I do agree with your point about skill based matchmaking, I don’t agree with your Luna’s Howl point. Now, this isn’t me trying to sound all high and mighty, but pinnacle weapons should only be earned by those willing to put the time in to get them. They shouldn’t be handed out to everyone (I know that’s not what you’re saying in this post) and only those capable of getting them should have them
