Hahaha am in the same boat as you, am sitting at 2040 and no chance in hell am touching competitive for the rest of the week.
You get 60 points during the reset day so congrats on the gun this coming Tuesday.

60? Though it was 100? They said they increased how much you got from weekly bonus...and it was 60 before they said that. They also said the weekly bonus increases every week up to a certain amount...

Only trying to go for luna. Bungie seriously needs to give valor some weapons. Why only glory. They dont need to be the strongest. Just make grinding valor worth something. 1 powerfull item after reset is just not worth it. My valor reset only gave me a 600 pair of legs...

They did give valor a weapon. Redrix Claymore is a valor weapon. Valor is SUPER easy to rank up and reset. (This whole next week is literally double valor and triple valor on the weekend) it’s just based on resets vs rank due to no penalty for losing.

Nope its 60, yes they did say they double the bonus points from last season which was 30 points. I wish if it was 100, my journey would’ve been much smoother haha.

Any tips for me in competitive? I am at the HC kills stage. What is the best solar weapon to use in your opinion for the 200 solar kills? I also need to find a good team to rank up after i done those things. Getting pretty tired of carrying my team of randoms 🤣

The biggest tip for comp? Get the quest steps done before you rank up by a lot. Don’t even worry about winning. Concentrate on your quest step at all costs. Even the win. Then after you’ve finished them all USE what you need to to get the win. HC HS are much harder to come by when get around 2000 point.

I am trying to farm the warden's law for HC kills. If only it would drop. Did you know that with. Steadyhand......Steady rounds. And a stability masterwork . It can get 75 stability 😂

Hmmm... tips Well i had trust dropping for me so i used it all the way in competitive as it counted towards HC kills, solar kills, and HC precision kills. I played solo all the way up apart from between 1200-1400 points because i had a friend who needed to play 25 competitive games for his redix quest. It was alright as we won some and lost some. Honestly there no tips to give, as competitive is exactly the same as quick play but in here you must win. Always focus on objectives over kills unless its clash or survival. So many times i had randoms who never capture a flag in control and that would cause me a loose nearly every time, during countdown rush with your teammates during attack and for defending literally stay defending, dont try to charge or flank unless you know your opponents aren’t a good players. Dont be intimated by 4 stacks, yes they are 4 people communicating but that doesn’t mean they will win, i notice the 4 stack has like 50%-70% of winning because many times i have been teamed with really good players who everyone of us where solo. Sure the strong sweaty 4 stack will win nearly 100% of time but you don’t go against them again unless you get unlucky with matchmake and thats when you take a break or call it a day. If you see your self in a winning streak, I would say keep going until you loose and thats when you stop and try again later. It’s not much of tips but this is what i did.

Yes play 3 games a week win or lose doesn’t matter, by the reset day you will get 60 free points. I heard at mythic rank and higher you don’t get bonus points.

It’s really not cheese but yes you can, not sure how it exactly works but am sure it works if you start at the beginning of the season not half way through. Just as long as you can keep your win rate at or above 50% How long till next season, 4-6 weeks maybe starting from this coming Tuesday, well no date been announced yet for next dlc but we can all speculate it would be around mid November or 1st week of December.

As far as my research got me, 60 points is what we get no matter what rank we are at.

If that’s the case then you can get to legend rank or max rank just by ending around 5390-5440. Very good to know.
