I hope my last 3 crucible games are not a sign of whats to come. They were quite possibly my worst d2 experience i have ever had.
I am an old d1 player that thought this new sand box was what the game needed. Was i wrong, have they made it worse? I hope not but it seems so.

I was worried Crucible might become a ShottyFest for a while. I'm going to FRs and don't forget the salt factory that is The Colony.
-
3 OdpowiedziThe thing that's annoying me is that the lower ttk just seem to have made teamshooting even worse.
-
Shotgun central was my -blam!-ing game in D1! I MAINED THE SHOTGUN AND I WAS PROUD! WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! THE GLORY DAYS!
-
The green shotty Hawthorne sells every now and again (I believe it's called the Hand and Hand) is pretty crazy. If you can get over the fact that it's a green @ 200 power, this thing reminds me of the Felwinter. The range at which I've 1 banged someone with this gun is quite bonkers. Kind of like a mini Acrius.
-
Same as D1 shotgun blinking all the fun things just get a counter and sorted
-
I don't know why they couldn't just do the d1 system. The new system favors shotguns. I've seen people get sniper kills and no special drop for them. How is that fair? They should have reduced heavy spawns and replaced with special ammo boxes
-
I like it, but my first few games sucked. Takes some adjusting. My advice is if you don't have zenith, don't use a shotty
-
I haven't had this much fun in crucible since D1.
-
2 OdpowiedziTotally disagree. Starting to feel like D1 again, and I love it.

The only thing i'm finding questionable is the ammo situation. I'm not sure why special timed boxes weren't used. The ammo situation will reward shotgun behavior over anything else. 1.) you spawn with a few shots - you gotta use it or lose it. 2) because of that, you might as well rush your opponent as fast as you can 3) if you die, at least your teammate trailing behind you with his shotgun can pickup the ammo the ammo situation will discourage ranged special attacks 1) you spawn with 2 shots - each requires a headshot with a higher degree of skill to land 2) if you kill your opponent, much like supremacy, you have to travel the distance to claim their ammo 3) if they're running shotgun with a teammate, the teammate will be able to pickup their ammo I'm just not sure what to think so far. Teamshotting seemed to be in shotgun caravans now. You can counter one guy with a dodge, or a fusion, but the 2nd and 3rd guy will get you every time--- and your ammo. Positively, the ttk felt good on handcannons. Snipers felt better than even D1, and fusion rifles are viable. We'll have to see how this evolves when Forsaken guns are added to the pool.

2 OdpowiedziSame dude, tried last night, 3 games, left them all after being constantly killed by shifting/shotgun or blink/shotgun or inviz/shotgun. If you don't use a shotgun you're screwed, so I reinstalled WW2 overnight n I'm not sure I'll touch crucible anymore, it's literal aids

10 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika Celoxamortis: 8/29/2018 6:38:05 AMWell, I mean there was a very valid reason why there was only one primary shotgun in the whole of Destiny 1, and that was a damned EXOTIC at that. If you wanted to roll with a primary and secondary shotgun in the Crucible in D1 you could, but you only had one choice for the primary AND you had to sacrifice being able to use every other exotic weapon. So it was a risk/reward proposition. If you were skilled enough to pull it off, more power to you. Simply moving shotguns back to the way they were in D1 (namely, putting them back in the secondary/energy slot) would have been fine. By putting them in both the kinetic AND energy slot, it's a crap show. Frankly, this entire weapon/ammo thing is a mess. They've taken something that was simple and intuitive from D1 and continue to make it more complex with convoluted systems. I get that they've added Grenade Launchers and Linear Fusion Rifles, but it seems like all they really needed to do was keep it simple. Move everything back to the way it was in D1. Leave the drum Grenade Launchers and Linear Fusions in the Heavy Slot. Shotguns, Snipers and Fusions back to the Energy/Secondary slot. Keep the white/green/purple bricks the same. Allow occasional rare raid drops and exotics to put elements in the kinetic slot - just like D1. This whole "new" system stinks of someone overthinking it in an attempt to recapture the D1 system. The blueprint for the D1 system has been there since mid-2014. Don't need to reinvent the wheel, Bungie.

I'm ok with it. Can be countered.

1 OdpowiedźI redact my statement as Im back to merkin all 6 vs me all day 40+ i just feel forced . I literally had to alter all my weapon loadouts and a 450 ar becomes mandatory . I ran west of sunfall Polaris lance and baligant because it was unbeatable with option to swap for antiope or a pulse in the secondary. I dont like the forced change and untill new weapons drop i cant or wont be as good because certain weapon loadouts are now impossible . The goal was more inclusion not 1 for the other while drastically changing ammo. It has one the most profound ways of entirely shifting metrics and there will be alot of unplanned consequences. I just feel we should have the option to run any two guns and a heavy. Woulda made it fair and doubt any excess changing would be needed

you can be a titan with skullfort and 3 shotguns.....when did you think it was not going to be a shotgun fest...embrace the madness or do what we had to do in D1 learn how to combat shotguns.....kill them before they get close?

1 Odpowiedź"I'm an old D1 player" Sounds like you have a bad case of Rose Colored Glasses Syndrome. Don't worry, it's fairly common in the Destiny Community as they wait to be charged to play what is now a complete reskin of the original game. It's a disorder where they choose to focus on Bungie re-implementing the few things they got right with D1 that were religiously abandoned in D2. Except most things they add back are not innovated properly leading back to the same issues in D1. Don't worry, I'm sure one day Destiny will be the game it COULD BE rather than the actual mess it is. Just keep throwing those dollars at your screen

Havent played yet but i was afraid it will be shotgun fest. My god please no! Why change the weapon system all the time? Mark my words this is not our final weapon system, bungie will change it million times.

Edytowany przez użytkownika BarretOblivion: 8/29/2018 12:25:42 PMBring on the shotgun fest. I love it when its shotgun fest, easiest meta to crush and outplay. Edit: Just droped a 6.83 with 41 kills on the tiny venus map with a sniper and a darkest before against a full team of shotgunners.
-
2 OdpowiedziIts not the shotguns, but the maps, they are so tight with corridors that it makes shotguns strong. More open maps = less shotguns.
-
i only played three matches but i wasn't getting one shot with shotguns or snipers much at all, saw a few shotguns but maybe one sniper and he missed me. i had one of the new shotguns that dropped from the flash point. its kinetic and pretty solid. spawn in with two rounds but people drop special ammo a lot and you don't have to hold square to pick it up like heavy. i haven't tried any other set ups but i was liking the changes just fine. also a kinetic shotgun with triple jump stompees and night stalker for invis is a pretty solid start, cheesy but solid cheese.

3 OdpowiedziHave you tried the humble fusion rifle? Or any good SMG? Better map positioning? An actual plan of attack instead of just running in and hoping things work in your favor?
-
10 OdpowiedziJFC. All you babies do is just whine. This game is soooo much more fun.
-
Spawn one special ammo per side by each team that respawns frequently, spawn one heavy ammo in the middle of the map that spawns infrequently. It would create an even battle for both sides without becoming a fest of sorts. Killing an enemy who has special left will drop special as well, as it is now. But this would actually make sense, so who am I kidding?
-
2 OdpowiedziI'm not sure what people really expected, in D1 pretty much everyone ran shottys or snipers and had tonnes of special ammo, the community complained so we got D2, now we have gone back and you still complain, community is an absolute joke.
-
It’s the first day of the new patch, EVERYONE wants to use triple shotty, it will subside eventually but rn people are just having fun with shottys
-
1 OdpowiedźBtw "sandbox" isn't a PvP experience. The PvP is a pile of garbage that needs a massive rework. The pve however is quite fun still imho.
