    Yup. Since Destiny's earliest days I have had a Guardian assigned to each Faction. An FWC Warlock, Dead Orbit Titan, New Monarchy Hunter. I've tailored their gear, ships and shaders to those factions. Now I can't do that any more. I can only play as one during a Faction Rally. Why allow us to have multiple characters if you're going to lock that out 4 years into the game. D&*( move, Bungie.

    • agreed. Not being able to fast travel with your Renown is a stupid game design decision. But generally speaking I feel you because it's just boring. All you're doing is running around to collect tokens. It's no different than anything we've been doing for close to a year. It's just more tokens. The Skins themselves are pretty useless so again it's just more tokens. Did I mention that is just more tokens? Yeah tokens tokens tokens. How boring. In 2 days I've only reached level 15, and I don't really want to do anymore because it's so damn boring. so yeah, tokens and boredom.

      Need to go back to the D1 system or similar. Faction rally is a high stress (relative to games, not talking real life) no fun grind that only serves to stoke FOMO. If you're busy on this particular week, no new loot for you!

      Things I like: Don’t mind the renown system as in building it up to 5 for more tokens from a lost sector. Renown only dropping by one level on death is fair. Wearing faction armour to increase renown is fine as things being faction based is a good theme. Things I don’t like: Pledging to only one faction (I like doing one per character). Catalysts being locked to a faction. I will miss the graviton catalyst because all the dead orbit gear I’d have to grind through is incredibly boring looking. You should have your choice of any of the three catalysts once to reach rank 50 with any faction. I haven’t tried yet with other classes, but ornaments should unlock for all of your characters if you unlock them on one, just like IB. Health regen time is way too long with renown. Being weaker is ok, but health regen time is ridiculous. It is boring hiding behind cover for ages waiting for health. Shouldn’t lose renown fast travelling on the one planet, only if going to orbit. Collecting lots of dusklight (or any resource) to unlock an ornament is really boring. Couldn’t it have just been get 100 kills with a faction weapon or something to make it more faction based? Lost sectors get quite tedious after a while. Maybe during faction events you could mix them up a little with surprise bosses popping up in lost sectors sometimes? Like weaker versions of some strike bosses or something?

      I hate that it's one faction per account. Yet... the ornaments are not account wide. *facepalm meme activate Other than that, I think most of the changes are good. Lost Sectors are useful, armor is useful (actually using Faction Gear during the Faction rally... what an idea!). Patrol sort of feeds itself with mutlpile activities while not completely outstripping the ease of strikes/crucible. Things that I think need improved. Public event where you 'capture enemy supplies' is useless. It takes too long, way too risky even with 3 renown (a health regen build won't help against yellow bars without excessive heavy ammo), and the end result is unrewarding. Fast Travel with Renown should be a thing. It should only be lost when leaving the planet. I couldn't imagine trying to fly around Nessus for public events... just super annoying. Mercury... you either need more patrol beacons, make patrol beacons refresh faster, or have unique major enemies drop singular tokens. I'm not sure why anyone would go there. Faction weapons... currently still useless. Sure, armor has a purpose but there is absolutely no reason to use faction weapons. I would suggest... if you have Faction weapons equipped, their damage scales UP with renown. (Since some people don't like that Renown only weakens you, this might be a good counter.) You'll still have all the other debuffs, but at least the weapons hit harder. Say... 5% per stack of renown. Also, every hundred kills using Faction weapons grants 3 tokens. Not lucrative enough to 'force people' to run Faction weapons where you don't have renown active, however, it's not too far fetched to at least have one of your two primary weapons be a faction weapon. Putting that in terms of strikes, it's hard to get over a 100 kills if you're not using the quickest killing weapons and AoE supers, as your teammates will usually get 60-80 which puts you there as well. This is all IMO

      I think bungie must get tax exemptions for hiring special needs people. That would explain the stupid things bungie does. This new renown mechanic is horrible. Why not make is so u only gain renown if u have a faction emblem equipped. Not everyone wants to have handicaps like the health regen just because they are doing patrols or escalation protocals. Why force those mechanics on everyone. Having to die a bunch of times just to lose the renown is just silly. And before someone says *just fast travel*... doing so means u lose the randoms for escalation protocol.

      • I juat dislike that faction rallies are for a week only. Ive only been able to okay on 2 days. No way im getting to rank 50 in the next 3 days.

      • Faction Rally should Be Permanent and have like an activation Mode to activate Renown(only time you start Faction Token farming) in Patrol. And Then they should Introduce a Faction War of some Sort. and make the players who Are Faction Farming Feel rewarded by making the Tower Look more like that Faction(after the week 1) Until Reset(every 4 weeks). so if Dead orbit is in the lead the tower has a dead orbit feel to it..and vic versa..lets say FWC passes Dead Orbit The tower will Gradually Change To FWC. it will add a Harry Potter kind of feel to the Tower and A Great Welcome. Faction War would probably be PvP with only Faction Gear and Faction Weapons! Each Faction would have a Different Buff that takes effect in PvP and PvE. The difference in PvP Faction War would Be an Objective...Not only to Kill. Once you(you specifically) kill 9 players a Sigil of your Faction will Drop(pick it Up (Hold Square) and you must take it back to your Teams base. while You have the Sigil You get a Buff..u can either Run to ur base and score a good amount of points or Reap the benefits of the Buff and Cause Havoc on your Foes!(Super Recharge Rate Extremely Increased! and score buff). Once you have the sigil and are killed you will lose it and the kill count will reset. witch means you will need 9 more kills before you get the option to Obtain another sigil has to be new maps to incorporate the bases! 6v6 or 9v9!! huh!😉 huh!😋) 4 players of each faction or 6 of each Faction! you could even make it so a special Vendor comes along when witch ever Faction is in the Lead to Offer Faction Goodies! for Faction Members only(special Shader? Gear Ornaments? Bounty auras? Faction Shells? Ships?) they can even add a Faction Engram to each Faction Leader that you can Purchase with Faction Tokens(Once every regular reset). The Faction engram has a Small change(like the NightFall) to Drop an Exotic Faction Item. this will give a huge incentive to grind your faction out!

        Hate Hate Vomit. The best way to remove renown stacks is to fast travel, and Bungle nerfed that as well, forcing you to confirm that you want to rid yourself of Bungle's so called "renown". so you either have to be annoyed with the nerf on selecting fast travel, or jump of a cliff/get killed by the architect to get rid of renown all the time. Bungle's latest addition to this trainwreck continues to prove beyond all doubt, just how much plot has been lost. Bungle has to google how to spell plot.

      • My main complaint is how much they nerfed how many token you get from doing a lost sector. I could have sworn that before hand it was 3 tokens per lost sector cache, now its 1. Granted, the higher our renown, the more tokens we get, but my renown resets every time I loot a lost sector ( and I do so without dying ) so I can’t loot multiple lost sectors with 5 renown, and it takes to long to get it back. It will take forever to hit rank 50 this way.

        • I agree !!! everything (mostly) they keep doing to this game makes me want to play less and less of the game. the game has become something you must play with a fireteam all the time now but guess what Bungie you are pushing players away from playing the game and less and less people are play it ,because it not fun anymore you keep making guardians weaker and there stat not count for anything so if your a single play your S,O,L . Its like there catering to the streams (who play 8hours a day +) making it so people have to come into there channel just so they can find someone to play with i usta play this game alot and not stream i usta be a in the top 100 time (for the first 2 seasons) spent into playing this game mainly by myself now im no longer able to stomic playing for hours and hours anymore thanks bungie

        • It sucks. It's a waste of time. You get 10 Tokens for 5 Renown from Lost Sector chests. I'd rather just play Crucible or Heroic Strikes. You get 8 tokens per Strike, and 5 per Crucible win. Renown should have given you 5 per level, not 2. Or they should have extended the event to 2 weeks. There's no way you can make it to Rank 50 in a week at this rate unless you no-life the game. Another unnecessary, and poorly done, feature added to the game.

        • I like it for the most part. Making your choice actually have some levity to it I like. They should have added more ADS, and more yellow bars instead of reducing our recovery though.

        • I mean, I understand why the changes were made (to stop faction farming), but I believe the limitations put on mobility and renown stacks were enough to not include the new penalty to health regeneration. If this were something that was only present when looting a lost sector, I think I would be perfectly fine with the changes, but being a constant debuff and losing a stack of renown for dying in your weakened state is definitely not worth the reward of a measly 10 coins when completing the lost sector. Doing the 5 renown farm at its peak will get you about 15-20 coins per half an hour. You need 20 coins per level up with the faction. There are 50 levels for the one faction per rally. This means it will take you 25 hours of peak grind time to reach maximum level with the faction and you have only a week to do it in.

          • how do i unjoin a faction? this faction rally screwed up in every way. as it is when i get renown i kill myself or fast travel to get rid of it. if i wanted heroic shit id do heroic adventures. y the -blam!- they making regular patrols heroic?

            Wasn’t a fan of ‘account bound faction pledging’ from jump but the fact some ornament progression task are ‘class bound’ and that there are several bugs that’re not counting some of our progression, has only entrenched me further in my opinions and I hope this experiment is scrapped before the next Rally.

            • they need to add something different to each Faction Rally to Make them Meaning each Time they pass every season. maybe on of the reasons was to make destiny feel like there's always something to do. I get it if we could farm all 3 the hardcore players(most of us) will have everything. Not saying I Support the Idea. My characters should not be tied together. they just need something different to occur(add items, or new feat.) like make the weapons More meaning. I hear that it gets stale after a w while In PvP....Faction Rally could spice things up!(every time it came by) with great weapons to chase after.(adding to the things you can earn until faction rally are officially over. revert this account lock and bam! your set. Faction rally would be meaning each time regardless if you grind on each character in a different faction. everything shouldn't be one time exclusives...Xbox already gets the Dirt. Now everyone can eat dirt(with the Per account) too if you don't grind a faction every time they come by...now that...That Blows!!

            • I've hated the changes since they were announced, but figured I'd try them to see if I was right in my disappointment or not. It's a mixed bag: DISLIKE: Pledging One Faction Across All Three Accounts - I still hate this change vehemently. Anything that restricts a player's gameplay choices is a bad step to make. DISLIKE: Ornaments Are Character Unlocked, Not Account Unlocked - So ornaments do not unlock across your account like it did before (unlocking FWC ornaments on one Guardian unlocked FWC ornaments for any other of your Guardians) and we have to complete the ornament "tasks" on each Guardian to unlock the ornaments on that Guardian. ... This is even more backwards than the Faction restriction. If you want to have each Guardian unlock their own ornaments, fine. That makes a lot of sense, actually. But why do that AND MAKE US PUT ALL GUARDIANS ON THE SAME FACTION?? If unlocking ornaments is character based now and not faction based, why must we also put all of our Guardians in one faction at a time? If you're going to force that issue, than ornaments should unlock across all three Guardians like before. Pledge to a Faction as a group, unlock ornaments as a group. Pledge to each Faction individually, unlock ornaments individually. I don't get it. LIKE: Leveling Up - At least your Faction levels are shared across all three Guardians even though your ornament unlocks are not. LIKE: The Renown System - I'm surprised to say that I did find this to be a positive mechanic. It made protecting my five-stack a lot of fun and added a previously missing element of danger. A clear farming technique presented itself: Wear a full suit of faction armor because you get extra renown, do one heroic public event and one patrol to hit five stacks (or mix and match), do one Lost Sector to cash in that five stack, rinse and repeat. Got to Level Ten (200 tokens) last night in maybe 2 1/2 hours of concentrated but leisurely play, all ornaments unlocked on my Hunter (but not all claimed yet as they are also level gated). It got tedious, but hey, people wanted the grind so here it is. Renown added a danger element, though. A little tension. That's not a bad thing. DISLIKE: Claiming Supplies For the Faction: The "Reclaim Supplies for your Faction" event that randomly spawns on the planets is now 100% useless. It is no longer an effective supplement to token farming and is absolutely not worth even trying if you're trying to protect stacks of Renown. The tanky yellow bars that attack the supply points are downright lethal now and are a great way to do nothing but lose stacks and time. LIKE: Lost Sectors - FINALLY THEY'RE MEANINGFUL! Opening a supply cache with a five stack = 10 tokens. And carrying the Renown (weakens you, strengthens them, dying loses a stack) makes it more than a sleepwalk to do one. BONUS LIKE: At least the Ornaments are more interesting this time around. Overall, there are some interesting play changes and some stupid restrictions. Mixed bag but interesting. I'm thinking it's definitely doable to at least get to Level 20 (gunning for that FWC sparrow), but getting to Level 50 for the Catalyst sounds like it's gonna be boring af. Time will tell.               • Glad that "ranks" are back, but having to nerf yourself to get the best stuff within the week the rally is active is annoying.
