No it's not so I agree with you there. But it did give you something to grind for, that perfect roll. That's one of the things this game is missing. An incentive to keep grinding.

Edytowany przez użytkownika Coldhands: 1/15/2018 9:03:18 PMAgreed. For every great gun with a great roll you got in Destiny 1, you had a hundred plus that were either bad guns, bad rolls, or both. It's already random what weapon we'll get from a reward; it doesn't need to also be random what perks that gun'll have.
-
Right? I sure loved getting the gun I wanted for the 300th time, just to see that it was yet another useless roll. The only guns I could ever get good rolls on were guns with heavily restricted perk pools.
-
Random rolls ONLY added a much needed grind that DID get annoying. we NEED a better mod system to make our own guns, why the -blam!- would we want random rolls when we have mods? think about it people, random rolls wiould be 1 step forward but 2 steps back, this isnt d1. as much as i loved d1.

Well if you think about it, random rolls gave D1 players a chance to grind out the game for the “god” roll weapons, sure players had the advantage in crucible if they had a rangefinder, luck and smallbore HC, but a skilled player can use any gun “god” roll or not, but D2 pvp seems worse than D1’s pvp, I always find myself going back to play private matches w friends bc you had different guns, different roles, not the same old better devils, it gets boring, the grind is taken out of the game and it’s repetitive. that feeling when you get a “god” roll weapon is just gone, because you put time into getting that weapon, knowing that not everyone has it, and you feel that sense of accomplishment. In D2 it’s completely different there is no grind, for armour maybe but you can still get tokens to rank up, however in D1 the amount of XP you earned for let’s say the crucible faction was based on if you won or lost the match, and that’s how you ranked up to receive packages. IMO random rolls should be brought back into D2 to add more variety to the game.

6 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika YuhNinja: 1/15/2018 10:52:29 PMJesus christ. You are so annoying. I know what made D1 great. And ONE of the reasons is random rolls. If we are going to get bungie to listen to anything than we need to all come together as a community and shove an idea in their face until they do something. Otherwise they just see a bunch of random requests and don't know if its really what the community wants. If I said exactly how to change Destiny 2 it wouldn't go trending because its too complicated for people to upvote. Statistically speaking people don't want to read a long page and the more points someone makes the more chances people have of disliking a point. The more points people dislike, the more likely they will downvote. Would you rather have me talked about all of this instead? The weapon system of primary, special and heavy is put back into place. Low rate of fire weapons now have the fastest TTK for crucible. The low rate of fire fast TTK is assuming you land all criticals. LMG’s Return Movement system rebalance. 6v6 replaces 4v4. All new maps will be slightly larger to account for 6v6. HP regen has been slightly increased for all classes. Learn all of the jumps from all of the classes by doing an exotic quest. (Titans and hunters can blink, and warlocks can “titan skate”) Grenades are buffed All grenades can be destroyed by shooting at them (Pulse nades) Hunter invisibility stops working as soon as damage is taken or whenever blink is used. Resilience, and mobility have been buffed slightly buffed. All strikes now have strike specific loot Story mission specific loot for meditations Meditations now give a large amount of faction tokens. Levels no longer matter. The only thing that defines if you can get certain gear is if you have enough power or you can complete the certain activity in question. Normal activities and vendors will drop gear that has enough power to enter these activities. Then it becomes a staircase of doing each increasingly difficult activity to get higher power gear and so forth. All of the XP levels you have completed now show where your old “Level” would show. (EX: Level: 148 means you have leveled up the experience bar 148 times) Each 25 XP levels will give a new icon of sorts next to the level like a prestige icon. Faction reward tiers (Crucible, EDZ, Vanguard, Etc.): 10 ranks, 20 ranks, 30 ranks, Etc. Each tier will give a specific piece of loot only attained from that tier reward from that faction. Once rank 50 is reached a faction specific exotic quest is unlocked. Doing the raid gives you a red embered head aura Doing the prestige raid gives you a red flaming head aura Completing a trials card gives you a blue embered head aura Completing a flawless trials card gives you a blue flaming head aura Doing the nightfall gives you a weekly 1.1x XP buff with a white embered head aura. Doing the Prestige nightfall gives you a weekly 1.2x XP buff with white flaming head aura. Old nightfall wipe mechanic returns. Exotics are now much rarer to get from most sources. More powerful, fun and unique exotics (Wardcliff coil, Merciless, Vex Mythoclast, Last word) Perks are randomly rolled and more perks are available for each piece of gear. Raid and trials gear gets 1 extra perk. Each piece of raid gear has a unique perk that will be useful when completing the raid. Armor and weapons now require XP to level up and unlock their perks. (Won’t take too long, think one day of grinding to unlock all perks) You can now do bounties for XP and reputation tokens.

Yes and no. It was a thing that made the game better but it’s just one of the pieces missing There’s a lot they need to do ALOT but they are never going to fix the game completely

7 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika Fixit: 1/15/2018 9:14:37 PMIt's like people think adding random rolls will nullifying the severe lack of content. When all it adds is more repetition... Go figure.

Edytowany przez użytkownika blade329: 1/15/2018 11:55:54 PMWhat made Destiny 1 great was the great interesting/powerful/good looking gear, space magic and you got to feel like a badass. Random rolls was part of that equation. However, I think fixed gear could have worked if done right. Unfortunately, Bungie half assed it. Fixed unique gear isn't going to work if there's not enough of it and the perks are unimpressive. That's what we got.

Cheese and pickle or cheese and onion rolls are nice he he.

Well said

Random rolls and great fixed weapons were what made it great but it was the grind to get them what got me hooked. Not having tons of bland weapons everyone can get without doing anything to earn them. I couldn’t wait to get an exotic bounty for thorn or bad juju etc. just no reason to grind anymore.

7 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika A Clumsy Guardian: 1/15/2018 7:55:33 PMI don't think these peoole realise that if they were to bring back random rolls, crucible would be extremely unbalanced. I wonder if they remeber palindrome with luck in the chamber and explosive rounds. Or better yet, lingering song with explosive rounds and luck in the chamber. Random rolls were nice back then, but it'd completely destroy crucible, more bullshit requirements for raids because not everyone would get lucky for god rolls, and trials would be even worse. Don't bring random rolls back. You'll all be bitching even more

7 Odpowiedzioh hell no this guy..... EXCUSE ME?!! The game need anything that gives guardians something to work for. Didn’t you have a favorite weapon from D1? I bet it was a random drop. Mine were ... Cryptic Dragon Explosive Crowd Control FireFly Image Loop Outlaw Explosive FireFly I challenge everyone to top that!!! What were some of your absolute favorites from D1 and how good were they !!!

Bye Felicia

Thank you

2 OdpowiedziWe should've had all the weapons from D1 + What we have in D2, that is the issue. Instead we received about 25% of what should've been in the game, and reskinned garbage.

3 OdpowiedziWhen will #MakePvPIndependent start trending? Let’s go for the neck

Because endless duplicates is better? lol

If we don't have random rolls we at the very least need a LOT more guns and a lot more unique guns.

I do agree that, although random rolls is enjoyable (imo), they r not needed. But what I do believe is truly need for people to enjoy destiny is for everything in the game to have more impact. Getting to level 20 shouldn’t just be obtained by playing the story. The power level should take way longer, a month to reach max, maybe 2 weeks to be able to do the raid, playing at a consistent level with hours per day. Basically the game needs to be a true rpg that actually has a grind in order to achieve the things I want to do. The satisfaction of reaching a new rank that in return gives u access to major content within the game is far greater than that if random weapon roles or anything. It’s the same reason the leveling to 1st prestige in cod is so enjoyable. Every rank rewards u with something and u want to keep grinding in order to unlock those new items.

A really good well rounded mod system would work several times better than random rolls. The point of grinding for god rolls is to well, get a god roll. It would be much more effective if you could add perks to develop your own god roll weapons. All you have to do is add 2 empty mod slots that may potentially drop with a godly perk on them and suddenly you've created a flexible mod system that satisfies all needs. God mods become the desired loot, with and option to dismantle a weapon to keep the mods on it. To prevent weapons becoming too heavily OP, you just need to lump certain mods into a "masterwork" category that can only have one masterwork mod per weapon. Simple.

Ur a complete -blam!-

1 OdpowiedźGeeze, have we sunk this low? Begging for Grinding? How about MORE CONTENT? Different GUNS WITH DIFFERENT PERKS. In one breath we’re complaining about Re-skinning and in the next Breath we want Random Rolls on the Same bloody Weapons! If you want a Random Roll go into a Bakery Blindfolded.
