It took 3 years to make it that way not 3 weeks

You played the final version of Destiny 1 with all the updates and download content already on it. Destiny 2 has not even been out a month and it's got no new content and it will have loads of new content by the end of its lifespan. You can't compare destiny one after all it's updates to destiny 2 when it's only just come out

Ending my experience with destiny has felt like shaking an addiction. If I feel good about leaving a game behind, the developers have failed the basics of making a good game. -blam!- this game, and I'm ashamed to have been following this game for over 4 years like a -blam!-ing idiot. I'll go play a game where the developers actually give a shit about their consumers like Witcher 3 and Overwatch

I am personally loving d2. I have my gripes, but I think it's an overall improvement over d1. And let's face it, activision probably forced bungie to pull over half of the content for the game to repackage it as dlc.

Just gonna point this out, because D2 is in its beginning stages. 1. Your hive armor came from an expansion 2. Your exotic sword came from an expansion a year later. Not too mention swords in general 3. Obsidian mind also came from the first expansion 4. Changes to warlock grenades, came numerous updates and patches later Overall you may think D1 is better now (I agree it is in some areas) but give D2 a year and 3 expansions and see where it’s at.

I'd advise all players currently playin D2 or in a slow-down and wondering what to do next, to play Destiny 1 Moments of Triumph update. It is serious gold! 4 raids, POE, strikes galore, Nightfalls, Daily.... yes DAILY MISSIONS. Crucible.... CHOOSE YOUR OWN GAMETYPE.... and the weapons baby... RANDOM-ROLLED GOD TIER LEGENDARY WEAPONS! Gotta love it. Nostalgia and all. Makes your night I swear.

D2 is like taking the first drink of an ice cold Coke..... but they gave you Pepsi.

Bungie will try and return features such as Daily Heroic Story Missions and Private Matches...but also try and make it look like "new content" behind DLC pay walls. The fact that so much is missing in Destiny 2 is intentional: they're intentionally holding back features to: 1. make it look like "new content". 2. keep people that are waiting for these features playing. It's greedy, corporate, and disrespectful toward their own community.

Destiny 2 was honestly a slap to the face for Destiny fans. Those who had stuck with the brand for the past 3 years, those who were die hard Destiny fans, got severely bond this go around. Destiny 1 had made significant improvements to itself over its 3 year life span. From core mechanics to Quality of Life mechanics, Bungie had patched it up to a pretty damn good game and the game felt ripe with things to do and to earn. Hell, there was so much stuff I couldn't collect it all before Destiny 2 released. The game had improved since launch and it seemed like Bungie finally had an idea on what they wanted Destiny to be. We preached to those that attacked Destiny that the game had improved and Bungie has learned, that there is no way Destiny 2 could be anything less than great. Then Destiny 2 released, and we all were wrong. Most of those changes and features that everyone enjoyed in Destiny 1, were just gone. Not even replaced with something. Just straight up gone. This void was never filled, and Destiny 2 feels full yet empty because of it. There appears to be a lot of things to do, from adventures to Lost Sectors. But these activities quickly run dry and we are left with...nothing. Destiny 1 survived the last 3 years because of the grind, even if some don't want to admit it. The grind to get the that cool exotic you've been wanting, the grind to get the perfect shotgun, the grind to get the best coolest looking armor, the grind to complete the records books, and much more. But that grind is not in Destiny 2. There is no gun that makes people cheer in joy when they achieve it. No armor that makes you feel powerful and awesome. None. Of. That. It's just gone and Bungie didn't replace it with anything. Destiny 2 feels awkward and empty, like there should be something here, but there isn't.

I miss 6v6 crucible idc if you call me a scrub for not wanting sweaty camping crucible but I legit miss the 6v6 I feel with the 4v4 for some reason I can never just play casually

This post reminds me of an idea I'd thought about before but never posted. It concerns D1 gear. I would love to see an update involving an Old Vault Scavenger challenge you could do once each day. It would involve your guardian going on a trek through the ruins and rubble of the city. Basically you're looking for the items you lost in the wake of Gary's attack. Each day when you select this mission you fight through a horde of red bars in the city and finally a yellow bar (ala the Lost Sector challenges). At the end when you defeat the boss you gain access to your old vault which Ghaul had his Cabal soldiers discard after he took over the tower. Once a day in your vault you find one completely random piece of Legendary or Exotic gear that you had in D1. It could be armor, a weapon, a vehicle etc. "Ebonstormmc found his No Backup Plans." (I really want my No Backup Plans back) Or "This guardian found her Gjallarhorn." Or "That guardian found his Universal Remote." Or whatever. The catch is, these items were so badly damaged during the attack that they all only have a light level of 1, and because of that same damage they build light extremely slowly. So you start going through your current D2 inventory looking for like items, because D2 infusion rules apply; shotgun for shotgun, hand cannon for hand cannon, helmet for helmet, etc. But again, because of the severe damage, the infusion process is very slow. Rare gear only bumps your scavenged gear up 1 point. Legendary bumps it up 3. Or if you're feeling really ambitious, an Exotic = +5, and this is regardless of how high the light level of the gear you're dismantling is. This little daily side quest would accomplish several things. 1.) A little nostalgic nugget to look forward to everyday. Now granted, you may get some useless piece of armor/gear that you never used anyway. However, you could also get that favorite piece of Legendary/Exotic gear and begin slowly infusing it back to its D1 glory. 2.) Speaking of infusing, there will now be a purpose for all of that unused D2 gear that's just taking up space in your current inventory/vault. Finally a use for all of these duplicate guns, helmets, and gauntlets we keep getting (oh... No Backup Plans... my precious....) Instead of just being dismantled for glimmer/parts (which much of it still will be) some of it can be used to slowly rebuild some of your favorite old pieces. 3.) Further tie in to D1. What happened to all of that gear we collected in D1? Was all of that grinding for nothing? Well here's your answer, with the added bonus of a chance at getting some of it back. 4.) A chance to entirely recreate that favorite load out from D1... eventually, unless of course some of it involved deleted items like machine guns (a few of which I really liked, but oh well) Anyways, that's my idea... (Did I mention I miss my No Backup Plans?)

I know exactly what u mean and I feel sad that I am so excited for anthem. I was hoping that I would be playing destiny 2 for hours upon hours on end then come back the next day for something new to do. Now I'm just hoping that anthem doesn't become identical to destiny.

D2 is like a fat girl that has suddenly lost a lot of weight....only to find that she doesn't actually have a pretty face 😁
