All the best loot is from the raids and Trails of the Nine, why is there not any good gear from completing Patrols or solo play? I do not have the time to put in a continuous 5-6 hour raid or have the friends to play TotN.
Even RatKing requires you to complete as a team.
Please add some addition content for solo players
[EDIT] Since originally posting I have joined a clan and recently completed the nightfall (used LFG site) with 6:11 left on the clock.

Exploring the worlds gives you the best loot anyways. And honestly, if you don't have the time to put in the work, you need to accept that. Imagine if you worked really hard at your job and some guy just got hired for a part time job at your company and made just as much money as you did. Some weeks the part timer even made more. That wouldn't be fair at all. If you don't have the time, that doesn't mean that you should get the same gear as people who put ikr the work. Especially since you can get good gear just by doing public events.

3 OdpowiedziI wouldn't mind grouping up for certain things but like a lot of players I don't have the time to do a 4 to 6 hour raid. I don't have much of a life outside of work and still have trouble finding that kinda time on my days off, nor would I want to spend 6 hours staring at screen.

3 OdpowiedziI used to do Nightfalls in D1 solo for endgame loot quite often. (Not exactly every week, but close enough) D2's Nightfall I could only make it about halfway thru because of the time limit. Which is stupid, I like the 'if you die you go to orbit or check point approach' better Someone told me you get extra time for killing minions ( like a second or two per kill) if this is true I sure didn't see it. I even studied the timer during single kills and multiple kills and didn't notice a difference!

64 OdpowiedziIt's amazing how many people don't actually read your post before replying to it. He is asking for SOLO end game content with equivalent difficulty to that of a Raid or Trials match. And yes he would like to earn the same type of high end quality gear which would only be fair. BTW; having SOLO missions like this would actually be something people might respect. Players can just get carried through raids and trials anyway.
-
Because any single solo event will never match up to raids and trials so why should they give us powerful endgame loot on a single solo event? Raids and trials give you the best because they require a lot of effort in the first place. A single solo will never require the same effort besides the nightfall. You can easily get the powerful and luminous engram each week from Call to Arms, nightfall, and clan xp milestones.

Raid is easily 60 minutes long. People just need to know what they're doing. As people play the raid more and more and get a better understanding of how it works, more raids will take this amount of time. I understand that soloing this game most likely sucks though. LFG sites are everywhere man and Destiny has one in game too.

No one cares about solo players. Go play uncharted

Raids and endgame always has, and will, have the best shit. Why would you expect to get raid level gear outside raid?
Actually you can get good gear outside raids, you just have to put proportional amount of effort into it.
Because Destiny is not based on solo playing, never was and never will be.

If D2 plays out anything like D1, your Solo end-game quality loot will likely come from Iron Banner. To answer your question: Destiny is, at its core, a team-based game. Working together to defeat the darkness has been the premise since day 1. As much as Bungie wants to deny it, Destiny draws HEAVILY from MMO-RPGs and similarly requires teams to complete the highest tier challenges. In summary, team-based challenges are by design more challenge than solo, because working together takes more skill than shooting Bungie's autistic AI. (Sorry Bungo, your guys can't hit the broad side of a barn, which is why you gave every race shotguns and bigger AOEs. Don't think we didn't notice)

Just to point out that if you're in a clan you actually get a engram when other members complete all of those things for the first time that week.

2 OdpowiedziGuided games? Just lfg, also don't buy a game that's oriented around multiplayer activities next time....
-
If you want to play a solo friendly bungie game go and play halo, this is a multiplayer based game, how are you surprised that it doesnt cater to solo players.

12 OdpowiedziBut this game was no intended nor developed or sold to be a solo player affair. Even the reveal for D2 they emphasized that simple fact multiple times. They actively said so and made it clear as humanly possible that this was a game for making friends, is not them caring or listening, it's you refusing to see the concept they designed this game for.
-
Of course! They DEFINITELY were NOT thinking about solo players when the invented GUIDED -blam!-ING GAMES

Do you want to enjoy the benefits of a clan but don't actually want to interact with anyone else? Then Axiomatica is the clan for you. [XBone] "A clan for people who don't like clans...or social interaction...or people." https://www.bungie.net/en/ClanV2?groupid=693883 About us:
Axiomatica is a clan for people who don't like clans. We act as a single name under which players can enjoy the benefits of a clan rank and banner without ever needing to interact with anyone else. We don't have regularly scheduled meet-ups, heck we don't have meet-ups at all. We don't need or desire to run raids, or strikes, or trials together. Members are expected to follow 2 simple guidelines: 1. Regularly contribute to the clan rank as much as you are able. 2. Be nice. Axiomatica's leadership reserves the right to ban any member from the clan for any reason, but as long as everyone's playing nice with each other there really should never be a problem. So come alone or bring your own group of friends. Noobs, pros, young, old, chatty, mute, purple, green, a literal cat with internet skills, we don't care. All are welcome to independently operate under the name Axiomatica. (^_^)
If you...
...are shy, introverted, anti-social, or otherwise just not fond of people then this is the clan for you. ...are generally too busy to commit long stretches of time to playing with others then this is the clan for you. ...don't care about raids or trials or any other endgame activity and just like to play by yourself then this is the clan for you.
To be perfectly honest and upfront about things...
Do not join Axiomatica and expect to find a group of people willing to help you through endgame activities. It's not that we're not nice people it's just that we prefer to keep to ourselves. Being a place to find a fireteam is not the purpose of this clan. Axiomatica aims to be an oasis for those who don't want to be bothered by constant fireteam invites and regularly scheduled activities. Feel free to contact other members just don't be surprised if you don't get much of a response back.
If you think Axiomatica will be a good fit for you then please click the link above and apply.

This game forces you to be part of a team, in fact it's built around that concept. Destiny 1 might of accommodated us solo's, but I guess we're in the minority.

Would be nice if there was some solo end game high end loot. Great post!

Raid and nightfall matchmaking are a great addition

3 Odpowiedzi
Although the game will require an always-on connection, Bungie promises that solo players will have a complete experience. "We want to be able to give you that strong narrative, you as a solo player. We want you to have that. If you want to do it by yourself, that's totally okay," Parsons said. You will still see other players in your game, but you can choose not to interact with them.
