I recently saw a quote from Bungie describing locked loadouts as a 'Golf bag' "If you think of your weapons and items as a golf bag we want you to look in your golf bag before you start an activity and go 'Oh,what should we bring to this' "LOL But that is the complete and total OPPOSITE of what a golf bag is for!!! What we have now is like having a golf bag. You bring a whole bunch of tools(weapons and gear) and use what is appropriate for the situation. Like having a golf bag filled with clubs. You tee off and drive, then depending where that drive lands you go to your golf bag and select the appropriate iron. If you wack the heck out of your drive, you may need a 9 iron to get your ball on the green. Wiff your drive and you may need a 3 iron. But that's the point of the golf bag, it's why you carry all those clubs. So depending on where your drive lands you have the right tool for the job. Having a locked loadout is the OPPOSITE of that. It's like taking your golf bag and dumping it out and only bringing one driver, one putter, and one iron. It's saying choose one iron to use BEFORE you drive. It is quite literally golfing WITHOUT a golf bag. You don't know where that drive is gonna land, so you take a 5 iron. Now if you hit it where a 5 iron is appropriate then that's great. But hit it too hard, into 9 iron territory, and you have too much club, wiff it, where a 3 iron is appropriate, and you don't have enough. The 5 iron may be perfect for the first hole, not for the second hole, where you need a 9 iron, or the thrid where you need a 3 iron. How do you pick one iron? See the golf bag gives you the tools you need for ANY situation.(unlocked) Locked loadouts is throwing your golf bag away! I don't know if locked loadouts will be good or bad but.... why would you go golfing and only bring 3 clubs???
