average players should not expect to succeed in trials.
tired of saying it to the whiners who come to the forum every tuesday with the normal "failed to flawless yet again this weekend because my team faced SUPER SWEATY TRYHARDS who want nothing but to WIN. i sure wish bungie would give average players a chance in trials instead of matching us with ULTRA SWEATS every single game!!!!!!"
news flash! trials is meant to be a place where rather good players compete against eachother, and the lighthouse is supposed to be for the elite. unfortunately things like paid carries exist and thousands of average players see the lighthouse every weekend. but the average players who play the game for fun with friends should no be upset when they lose in trials. it is clear that it is intended to be the "competitive" game mode, so don't go in expecting to do well unless you have a solid team.

did everyone who bought halo 3 get the recon armor? no. is everyone who bought the division entitled to every single high end weapon in the game? no. is every single $2 age of triumph treasure box guaranteed to have $2 worth of loot in it? of course not. so this logic is flawed.
trials isn't meant for everyone, and if it isn't for you then you dont have to play. there are many other ways to reach 400 light and you don't even have to win anything to get the trials emblem in the record book. so please stop complaining about losing solely because you aren't good enough or keep facing "sweaties" or "tryhards" (also known as "players who are genuinely better than you at the game")

1. never once in this post did i call myself a good or above average player who earned their lighthouse runs. i have 20+ flawlesses as an average player which should not be possible but it is because of how broken the trials system is, but that is a topic for another day.
2. I DO NOT LIKE TRIALS. I DO NOT PLAY TRIALS ANYMORE. i stopped playing several months ago because i hate how slow paced and boring it is. so don't call me a trials elitist ELO god because i couldn't give less of a shit about stats or playing trials for myself.
i am just annoyed with people complaining about losing to people who are better than them.

It's a shame that so many noobs are still desperately trying making it easier forthe pro's...this mode should be polluted with lifeless tryhards only so that it's a pain for every single one of them.

As a casual PvPer, I totally agree. Trials is not designed for us, just because you go positive once in a while during Iron Banner doesn't entitle you to a flawless card.

6 OdpowiedziWhat Bungie should have done from the start is let players only get to the light house once per week per character. This would have weeded out all the streamers and the shameless people that make money off Trials by doing carries. In that sense, it's actually many average or below average players getting to the light house because of carries, not decent teams that don't want carried.

Actually it's people from regions with low ammount of players these days.... It's so nice when I have to fight people from the middle east for that last win and they basically get a free win because they teleport all over the place and wipe the floor with their beautiful lag powers

Some of the guns you can possibly be gifted at the end are far superior than the rest of Destiny's artillery. So, that results in the far more superior players to also have better guns... that seems like some bad logic for a game that should be enjoyable by all who decide to be a guardian. I'm not saying that communism should be spread over Destiny, but there should be more ways for the average player to get their hands on those Blind Perditions, etc. Out of the times I have gone flawless I have only received guns that are pretty useless to my play style.

Trials is essentially gated off from the less skilled players, just as raids are essentially gated off from those who don't have friends or don't know of or use LFG sites (thanks to no OMM or in-game LFG). Content should never be gated off from [i]anyone.[/i] Loot is a different story. Completing end game activities and receiving gear for completing difficult challenges within those activities are a shining example of how a game should be designed. Examples: *Completing a game on its most difficult setting within a given timeframe unlocks certain gear. The game can still be completed through normal means on any difficulty - anyone can still play it. The Challenge is there for those who wish to attempt it without disruption to others. *Getting X amount of kills in given Rank or Tier in either a single game, series of games, or a season unlocks certain gear - does not affect others' ability to participate or enjoy the content. Losing to better teams as a reason to complain is a symptom of the bigger issue. 1 OdpowiedźPut a minumun age of 18 sign at the lighthouse and you get rid of 80 % of the so called sweaties. A 40 year old doesn't have the cat like reflexes of a 16 year old and won't outgun them. Sure there are exceptions but it would be more fun to get matched against mature players.in stead of kids. As much as I hate.to admit, skill based matchmaking could actually be fun for trials. Sweaties meet sweaties and old people meet noobs.

You do realize trials is filled with streamer carries and paid light houses. There is a huge disadvantage especially now when the player pool has decreased.
