tired of saying it to the whiners who come to the forum every tuesday with the normal "failed to flawless yet again this weekend because my team faced SUPER SWEATY TRYHARDS who want nothing but to WIN. i sure wish bungie would give average players a chance in trials instead of matching us with ULTRA SWEATS every single game!!!!!!"
news flash! trials is meant to be a place where rather good players compete against eachother, and the lighthouse is supposed to be for the elite. unfortunately things like paid carries exist and thousands of average players see the lighthouse every weekend. but the average players who play the game for fun with friends should no be upset when they lose in trials. it is clear that it is intended to be the "competitive" game mode, so don't go in expecting to do well unless you have a solid team.
but i payed for the game! i should have access to everything on disc because i payed for it!
did everyone who bought halo 3 get the recon armor? no. is everyone who bought the division entitled to every single high end weapon in the game? no. is every single $2 age of triumph treasure box guaranteed to have $2 worth of loot in it? of course not. so this logic is flawed.
trials isn't meant for everyone, and if it isn't for you then you dont have to play. there are many other ways to reach 400 light and you don't even have to win anything to get the trials emblem in the record book. so please stop complaining about losing solely because you aren't good enough or keep facing "sweaties" or "tryhards" (also known as "players who are genuinely better than you at the game")
edit: okay so i've gotten lots of shit which is fine. we're all here to have conversations.
1. never once in this post did i call myself a good or above average player who earned their lighthouse runs. i have 20+ flawlesses as an average player which should not be possible but it is because of how broken the trials system is, but that is a topic for another day.
2. I DO NOT LIKE TRIALS. I DO NOT PLAY TRIALS ANYMORE. i stopped playing several months ago because i hate how slow paced and boring it is. so don't call me a trials elitist ELO god because i couldn't give less of a shit about stats or playing trials for myself.
i am just annoyed with people complaining about losing to people who are better than them.
-
I don't really play trials anymore because the people I usually play with don't have the same timetable as me... #lonelylife
-
Stopped Playing trails and always hated the game mode. Most of the time I got involved was to help other team mates or finish off my armour set. Nows it's finished ....... I won't go near this fcking sweaty game mode. I just play regular crucible and have fun using random weapons!

5 OdpowiedziHow do you know if you're average?
-
2 OdpowiedziI don't understand why people care so much. The loot from trials is pretty shitty in the first place. The Adept weapons only have snapshot which isn't really game changing. The ornaments are nice, but they are cosmetic, same with the emblem. If you want trials loot you can still get trials loot from playing. The bounties don't require you to go flawless. You get armor at 5 and 7 wins. If you can't get to those checkpoints before losing three times then you aren't an average player, you are below average. Getting to 7 wins isn't very hard. If you are an average player you are not locked out of trials. You can still play it and earn loot. You might not go flawless, but that's fine because flawless is meant for those who are above average.
-
I do agree with your logic in general. However Destiny is not an inherently competitive game. This isn't halo. This isn't quake. This isn't CS. I think treating any part of it in a strictly elites fashion is slightly flawed. Trials should be tough. But not literally impossible for 90% of the playerbase I would suggest for trials to use more randomised MM. That way you'd have the small chance of the stars aligning to provide 9 straight shit teams to play.

1 OdpowiedźEdytowany przez użytkownika Shadow Ninja: 4/23/2017 1:15:32 AMThis is so cringe, your below average/average player yourself, you k/d all all clinging on the edge of going under 1.0kd, just like any other average player, and you're trying to flame the average players? Mate you said you've gone flawless, with that kd? Didn't you just say it's unfortunate that paid carries are available? Yet all I see is a whinny b**ch who cant pay for anymore carries cause mummy has cancelled her card, and is sick of losing to better players

3 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika KitsuneSonow: 4/22/2017 11:30:43 PM
news flash! trials is meant to be a place where rather good players compete against eachother,
Then why is it when other "good players" actually get matches against players that are just as good as them or better they whine about trials being too sweaty? Also, if that were true, why is there no skilled based matchmaking? I mean, trials players like to shoot off out the mouth they they are so elite on forums all the time why are they scared of facing the other elite? Oh right, cause that means their easy path to the lighthouse gets destroyed because they no longer just face against randoms. Also what are: Paid Carries DoS attacks Lag Switching Message Spamming

I agree. One thing I do wish we had in this game was a real competitive playlist. Like ranked or social playlist. That way we can actually have an in game leader board and stats instead of going outside of the game to look for those.
-
2 OdpowiedziAgreed Giving "average players a chance" is the antithesis to competition
-
1 OdpowiedźI'll never go flawless and I'm ok with that. I would however like to visit the light house purely because I like exploring. Why not make it available just to have a nosey round.

4 OdpowiedziI agree and I don't care about sweaty games. What I do care about is when I die to a sniper, crumble to the ground, start looking around to see where the hell it came from...AND THEN HEAR THE ACTUAL SHOT FROM THE DAMN SNIPER. I just can't take this crucible any more man. What a piece of shit.

I've found that average players should expect to get absolutely stomped pancake flat in Trials.
-
I agree with you 100%. There are plenty of things to get in trials that are non flawless and anyone can receive those rewards rather easily. Flawless isnt something that should be handed out to people, and like you said it shouldnt be common for average players to go flawless.
-
13 OdpowiedziPeople who have gone flawless should not be paired with people who haven't. And will try to multiple times when active. Trials should be on a tier system. You go once you get your rewards and move on to the next tier. And have rewards accordingly. It would give average players a chance. And would give people a real challenge in higher tier fights. And it's locked to account. Not character. You go up to tier 3 on your warlock and decided to switch to a hunter. Your hunter would be in tier 3 fights. Only change would be class specific rewards of course. And like iron banner. Each week it resets. This I believe would make it more friendly to all players. From low skilled to the higher skilled.

6 OdpowiedziGuess who's the majority of the player base? Average players. Content where the majority of the player base is locked out of is quite a failure on bungie's part. Yeah elitists come at me
-
24 OdpowiedziThere are hardly any "better" players in Trials lol. They all spam their crutch abilities and abuse anything they can to avoid using a primary. If abilities and special weapons (including NLB and Universal Remote) were removed from Trials for just a little while, we'd get a better idea about who the real skilled players are.
-
4 OdpowiedziAverage players should not be able to succeed in raids and the loot it grants. Average players should not be able to succeed in trials and the loot it grants. Avera..... Oh fuck off, I'd be happy to sherpa/carry people through endgame activities because it's a fucking videogame. If you're bad, don't complain about your own incompetence. If you're good, don't act like a dick, try to offer a guiding hand instead, we're a gaming community after all....

2 OdpowiedziI believe trials if for the players that put in the time to get good and the lighthouse is the reward for your effort. If you're just not good enough to reach the lighthouse then learn to live with that fact. Man or woman up! Lighthouse are not meant to be given away. They are to be earned and that's a hard pill to swallow. I have played destiny since beta and play crucible and enjoy it all. I am yet to reach the lighthouse and probably never will. Enjoy the game and game on! Quit the bitching!

2 OdpowiedziHe's right. Think I'm an elitist douche? Check my stats. Having one game type that caters to high skill PvP players is one of the things that's kept this game going. Want to have a casual good time in Destiny PvP? Join a mayhem clash match.

1 OdpowiedźYet another reason Trials should have never been added to the game. It is at the very core of everything that made this community turn ultra toxic. Is it true to say that "trials" is meant to exclude all but the top 10% of players? Oh. Yeah. That's absolutely true to say that's what it's designed for. But for a company that depends on not alienating it's customers, is it wise to be very public about saying "If you're a player who prefers to play solo or in small fire teams, there's nothing in this game for you. If you are not one of the best pvp players on earth this game is not meant for you. If you have lots of friends and are looking for more than one or two things to do in your friend group this game is not for you. If you want to feel respected and appreciated as one of our loyal customers, this game is not for you. If you don't want your weapon and armor to be made obsolete every four months because most of the new armor is just old armor re-skinned, this game is not for you." The more that Bungie tells it's players "We don't care if you're having fun or able to advance, we don't care if we are locking you out of content you paid for because you either don't or can't play according to our preconceived notions" the less people will care. Which. Frankly. Is why Overwatch is the most popular shooter on the market world wide and Destiny is a footnote only praised by it's most rabidly loyal supporters and totally ignored by the rest of the gaming community.

Lol "skilled" players...

1 OdpowiedźAt this point who really cares lol. Just like the complaint posts you hate, I see exact same posts like yours every week too. Just let it go. On both sides.

Edytowany przez użytkownika 1 5 1 5: 4/22/2017 8:51:29 PMIf you don't care about trials anymore, why even make this post? It's topics like these that make the forums so toxic. Your post is not needed whatsoever.

As an average player who has never been to the Lighthouse, I played Trials for the first time since AoT started and it's run by Ice Breaker now. Still, I got a Wrecking Ball medal, so I have hope to "finish" the page in the book. Other than that, I just like doing the bounties and having fun. I gave up on the thought of ever going flawless back in the beginning of year 2. I consider the week a success if I get to 7 wins for the weapon.

It's a shame that so many noobs are still desperately trying making it easier forthe pro's...this mode should be polluted with lifeless tryhards only so that it's a pain for every single one of them.
