tired of saying it to the whiners who come to the forum every tuesday with the normal "failed to flawless yet again this weekend because my team faced SUPER SWEATY TRYHARDS who want nothing but to WIN. i sure wish bungie would give average players a chance in trials instead of matching us with ULTRA SWEATS every single game!!!!!!"
news flash! trials is meant to be a place where rather good players compete against eachother, and the lighthouse is supposed to be for the elite. unfortunately things like paid carries exist and thousands of average players see the lighthouse every weekend. but the average players who play the game for fun with friends should no be upset when they lose in trials. it is clear that it is intended to be the "competitive" game mode, so don't go in expecting to do well unless you have a solid team.
but i payed for the game! i should have access to everything on disc because i payed for it!
did everyone who bought halo 3 get the recon armor? no. is everyone who bought the division entitled to every single high end weapon in the game? no. is every single $2 age of triumph treasure box guaranteed to have $2 worth of loot in it? of course not. so this logic is flawed.
trials isn't meant for everyone, and if it isn't for you then you dont have to play. there are many other ways to reach 400 light and you don't even have to win anything to get the trials emblem in the record book. so please stop complaining about losing solely because you aren't good enough or keep facing "sweaties" or "tryhards" (also known as "players who are genuinely better than you at the game")
edit: okay so i've gotten lots of shit which is fine. we're all here to have conversations.
1. never once in this post did i call myself a good or above average player who earned their lighthouse runs. i have 20+ flawlesses as an average player which should not be possible but it is because of how broken the trials system is, but that is a topic for another day.
2. I DO NOT LIKE TRIALS. I DO NOT PLAY TRIALS ANYMORE. i stopped playing several months ago because i hate how slow paced and boring it is. so don't call me a trials elitist ELO god because i couldn't give less of a shit about stats or playing trials for myself.
i am just annoyed with people complaining about losing to people who are better than them.

Or you can just not give a shit. As it ultimately means nothing anyway

8 OdpowiedziI single handily made someone delete her account just for asking to hang out after 3 weeks of getting to know her. Well she did me a solid favour of waisting my time with her. But a simple 'not interested' would haven been better then deleting your Facebook account haha. Oh the humanity how do people still have the chance to date in this day in age. So trust me guys I'm the nicest guy you'll meet she was interested in me too, after that one sentence "Want to hang out sometime" she gave me the cold shoulder, ignored my texts when it shown she seen them etc. Lol So I did no harm except ask her out, and it was like the end of the world for her lol. Girls these days low standards on dating their technique is quite unimaginative.

4 OdpowiedziYou've been flawless and think you're entitled to tell everyone else what they are entitled to? Go take a flying @#$% at a rolling donut. Streamers and paid carries/recoveries are the reason people can't go flawless. PAID. Excuse the hell out of me if I refuse to pay some basement dwelling mama's boy to carry me or subscribe to his lame ass stream. ToO is Pay to Win. This makes Bungie's most super duper elite PvP "endgame" activity nothing more than a bad joke.

Preemptive Tuesday trials complaint post. I likey. So tired of all the posts, let's fix trials, let's make it so more people Go flawless , let's make it easier for average players. Good stuff Man.

3 OdpowiedziTrails is not competitive. Period.

3 OdpowiedziI think it's just funny how anybody thinks trials is "competitive" in the slightest. I've been 8 wins twice as a slightly above average player, and one time we got lagged out of the game at 4:4 (not saying they dossed us it's extremely possible that it was bungie's shit servers) costing us the match, and the next we were up 4:3, but the self Rez glitch hadn't been fixed and skorris still worked back then, so the warlock and his other teammate just built super off of the other teammate who hadn't used theirs yet. Lost that one getting supered the entire round. I've played competitive in multiple games (halo and Cod being the two most prominent) any type of destiny competitive play is hilariously bad, even compared to the shitty COD connections.

3 OdpowiedziJust remember kids, however high your ELO or KD is, it won't mean shit in a couple months.

1 OdpowiedźIm a below average player according to my kd but I've been flawless 6 times. Every time with people that have around same kd as me. Sometimes average is perfect enough.

5 OdpowiedziI love trials. I have a 1.28 trials of on 2 characaters. That said, it's gotten to point where anything past 5-6 wins is a slog. I play with the game group of clan mates every week. Our team usually averages 1600 elo per guardian gg. We haven't reached the lighthouse since November ish. So, yeah. I agree that the lighthouse isn't for the average player, but I think bungie needs to imcentivize more people to play in destiny 2. My team is far above average and it's still rough out there. We already have all the armor and weapons so there's just not a lot of reason to play unless going in with a lighthouse or bust mentality. Like i said, I love trials. I just wish the player pool was bigger.

Trials is dropping 400 LL gear like hotcakes lately. You can get new bounties everyday now and get the equivalent of 5,7 win rewards on each character daily. As well as getting some of the best looking gear in the game for losing. Yet there still isn't enough intensive to get "average" players to play. I definitely agree that they shouldn't hand out the lighthouse like a participation trophy, but if trials in in D2, they need to do something that will make everybody want to play, as well as rewarding players with honors/rewards for playing good.

To be fair, everyone gets recon armor in Halo 3: ODST with the extra copy of the Halo 3 multiplayer found in the box. :p

1 OdpowiedźTrials is really not as hard as most make it, I have irl friends that are garbage... and believe me GARBAGE and they go flawless every weekend. It's just the luck of the draw if you play enough and play smart you can really do it no problem.

3 OdpowiedziTrails isn't really skill based it's more like going with the meta. Lol

2 OdpowiedziAll of these douchebags, saying trials is for the elite then in the same breath bitching about carries, which is at best 2/3 of a stacked team. Here's what is going on: Raids generally promote help and cooperation. Trials generally promotes douchebags who think the emblem makes them special and that only very specific people (which is not always the 'best') should have it.

28 OdpowiedziThe problem with trial is that matchmaking selection is not fair. They say that it is win based, but that is clearly not true. On more than one occasion I have faced a team that went straight to the lighthouse, in our very first match. Then there is the fourth wall, an artificial roadblock intended to hamstring the average player. For a long time, my collective could never get past that fourth wall, it was a literal brick wall, where we would lose match after match 0-5, burning card after card trying to pass. We can consistently past the fourth wall now, but we have discovered that there is a sixth wall too... It is odd why these two matches would seem more difficult, but when you realise that you get drops after winning both of these matches, then you realise that matchmaking is managed, and not based on anything fair. Trials needs SBMM. SBMM in Trials would ensure that not only the average players, but the best players would have a tough challenge. You would put an end to paid carries over night, because if every match was super tough, there could be no guarantee of success. The only people who would talk this down would be the best players, because they have the most to lose. It is tough already for average players, so introducing SBMM would make no difference what so ever. Without SBMM, Trials is just a back patting exercise for the best players.

3 Odpowiedzi
but i payed for the game! i should have access to everything on disc because i payed for it!
Gold bounties gives out the same guns as the lighthouse gives minus the gold color. So they still have access to the same things.

simply not true. An average player shouldn't expect to succeed immediately no, but put in the effort like I did and you'll get there eventually, I started off a potato but practised a lot, got a couple flawlesses and quit because it just isn't my thing. And yes, I did understand your point, I'm simply pointing out that average players, with a little work, can make it flawless eventually.
-
I read these posts and can't believe what I see. Who cares whether you succeed or not? It's a friggin console game nothing more. Yep it's nice to pick up a bonus piece of armour or weapon and even get to the Lighthouse, but when you turn off the PS or XB1 the Elitism ends. You return to being Joe Average. I enjoy Destiny for the GAME that it is. I meet some good people who also enjoy the game and together we achieve a few good results. For some however Destiny seems to be more than that....bunch of sad sacks if you ask me.
-
Then don't listen to them lmao.

1 OdpowiedźEdytowany przez użytkownika FireHead: 4/24/2017 3:01:31 AMI agree, I am quite average at PvP and it's a miracle I went flawless 5 times.
Forgot to add this, it's still a joke of a game mode
-
I don't really care if I win, I have fun playing trials. And all you really get for going flawless is an emblem of a bug and a weapon with the word "Adept" that has snapshot on it. In year one though going flawless was worth it for that sexy exotic emblem.
-
Long rant that's pointless, there are plenty of twitch streamers, clans and Reddit Sherpas that carry average people to the lighthouse for free.

Hmmmmmm why was this post edited by a ninja yet you are allowed to reply still?
