Should I Have Lost On Purpose
So I was on Destiny and I was really bored. I saw my friend playing private matches. I joined we were all having fun then a squeaker joins us. I didn't have a problem with it because Destiny has players of all ages most players are below the teen rating. As we did a rumble match he said you have no skill I am better than you. When he said this he wasn't joking he was dead serious. He wasn't the best player but he wasn't the worst he was in the middle. But from the rumble matches we played I knew I was more skilled. So I told him you think your more skilled he said yes. So in response I said lets 1v1. I know it sounds immature but he got very annoying so I thought this would make him be quiet. During it he never killed me once. He then claimed it was because his guns sucked. He said let me go to the tower. After he got his better guns we played again another one sided match and he got 0 kills. He the claimed it was because he was on his titan. So I let him switch to a warlock. As we were playing the final match because I got bored I though of letting him win. The reason for this is because I didn't want to make him feel like he was a bad player but I knew if I lost he wouldn't let me here the end of it. So we finished and he got two kills. What would you guys do?
Edit: Some people think that my intent was to "show off" my skill. If I truly wanted to I wouldn't talk about beating a child because you know that's not very impressive. I just wanted to see how others would react in my place. Why people thought this I will never know it isn't impressive to beat a ten year old so why would I brag about it. Also I didn't let him kill me those two kills were just normal kills.

5 OdpowiedziNope no remorse, no quarter for fools who don't know their place, either it be a video game or real life. If someone is going to talk trash act macho or put on the bravado or be condescending in anyway to another person deserves what they get. The person who is acting like a arrogant tool deserves whatever retaliation the other person decided to dish back out and if the retaliator loses then they either didn't know their place or they misjudged the situation. However anyone who can truly back up their words with skill or power need not always be confrontational, as walking away from the person acting like a tool can sometimes be a more devastating blow to the psyche than anything you could do "physically" like stomp them in a 1v1 match. All that being said you can't help or reason with stupidity. Knowing the difference in what your dealing with is the key to success in any confrontation, and if you are dealing with stupidity walking away is usually the best course of action since they probably won't learn or retain anything that comes out of a confrontation

5 OdpowiedziDid that to one of the players in my clan they talked crap to me in front of other clan members. (I'm the leader of the booty slappers). I said 1v1 me you -blam!-. I deleted him from the game, he left my clan and left my party in rage mode. That triple lock stickies is what got him. lol :0 Kids can act like Rambo sometimes but when you mess with the king booty slappers 👋 it's on! :0

He was talking smack, and he wasn't able to put his money where his mouth is. So I'd say you did the right thing. He needs to learn that making excuses won't make him any better.

I'm not the type to baby someone, especially if they're being a pain in the ass. So I would have either kept beating him or just made a smartass comment, left it at that and left.

If you're going to talk smack, you better be able to back it up. If not then you should stay quiet. I never respond to stuff like that, because more than likely I will lose and I'll look like a bigger idiot when I talk smack and lose then if I were to not have responded at all. Plus it's really not worth proving yourself to a complete stranger that will probably forget about this in the future.

I had a similar experience. This one kid was getting mad at me for using clever dragon (I just got my first and was playing with it) and he said "use a gun that takes skill." I said ok and pulled out my trusty NLB, took off my mic, and put on don't stop me now by Queen and I beat his ass into the ground
