So I was on Destiny and I was really bored. I saw my friend playing private matches. I joined we were all having fun then a squeaker joins us. I didn't have a problem with it because Destiny has players of all ages most players are below the teen rating. As we did a rumble match he said you have no skill I am better than you. When he said this he wasn't joking he was dead serious. He wasn't the best player but he wasn't the worst he was in the middle. But from the rumble matches we played I knew I was more skilled. So I told him you think your more skilled he said yes. So in response I said lets 1v1. I know it sounds immature but he got very annoying so I thought this would make him be quiet. During it he never killed me once. He then claimed it was because his guns sucked. He said let me go to the tower. After he got his better guns we played again another one sided match and he got 0 kills. He the claimed it was because he was on his titan. So I let him switch to a warlock. As we were playing the final match because I got bored I though of letting him win. The reason for this is because I didn't want to make him feel like he was a bad player but I knew if I lost he wouldn't let me here the end of it. So we finished and he got two kills. What would you guys do?
Edit: Some people think that my intent was to "show off" my skill. If I truly wanted to I wouldn't talk about beating a child because you know that's not very impressive. I just wanted to see how others would react in my place. Why people thought this I will never know it isn't impressive to beat a ten year old so why would I brag about it. Also I didn't let him kill me those two kills were just normal kills.

Should've put him in a 1v1 srl match.

2 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika michael: 1/8/2017 2:42:59 PMyou did the right thing. the crucible is no place for mercy. also kids aren't the only ones who are immature. i have a 16 second long voice message i got from some guy who sounds like a grown ass man of him ranting about how i was crutching on last word her benevolence, how he wasn't trying, how i couldn't even get carried by a 2200 elo in trials, on and on. it isn't about age.

Destroy him every match and keep playing asking as he was making excuses. That's what I would do at least

Nope. Bury him. Humility is a dying trait, I for one applaud you serving this child a huge serving if it

I 1v1ed my dad, he had 1 kill, nova bomb. But its fun playing with family on destiny, its kinda like having VIP in a raid team (even though i suk at raids) he never kicks me

1 OdpowiedźEdytowany przez użytkownika t1Chill: 1/8/2017 5:53:59 AMThat's why I put "no kids" in my post if I need to use LFG. I used to have no problem with squeakers, but all they do in trials is die and scream and make excuses ( *misses all shots* "WHAT so many ghost bullets", "How did I miss my smash?", "I SHOT this kid with my shotgun and it didn't count" "Truth is too hard to use", and the classic "OK, I'm taking off the No-Land")
-
Did this kid not check your stats? I think if I were to 1v1 someone id be looking the said player up, looking at your stats, id be a happy just to kill you a few times. TBH tho, I wouldn't bother with 1v1s

The crucible is no place for mercy Guardian. Beat his breaks off till he apologizes or he never wants to go heads up again.

Edytowany przez użytkownika Draggle: 1/8/2017 6:34:29 AMI would of just beat the smack talking kid into the ground learn to be respectful and be a good loser

Anyone who gets salty at private matches and starts talking shit deserves whatever storm they get.

15 OdpowiedziA lot of people on Destiny are all bark and no bite. I got some hate mail yesterday in Trials, calling me a camping noob. I replied "GG, friend" and that was the end of it.

6 OdpowiedziYoung people also need to learn that you will lose if the opponent is better at the activity they're competing in. Giving him the win is kind of lying. Although... I mean, if I had a kid, sure I will let him or her win an arm wrestle match. Depends on the situation. If the kid has it rough in school or at home, he or she already has enough negative experience and if letting them win cheers them up, then who am I to say "losing is part of growing up"? I'm not heartless or something.

Whenever I beat someone like that the best part is the embarrassment that comes with it!
-
I would've beat him, he claims he's better, I try and show them up. Even a squeaker.
Sounds real douchey I'll bet
-
I'd figure he'd just continue making excuses, so I'd stop wasting my time and just leave and block him.
-
I would shit on him. Not to prove that I am better. But because I hate kids. Annoying little squeaky -blam!-s. I have no patience lol.
but seriously I -blam!-ing hate squeakers
Mercy is for the weak.

1 OdpowiedźI would of stomped him, teabagged him after every kill, then kill him again while I'm still teabagging. If he's mouthy, then he deserves it. Kudos

Jesus...you took the time to type this to random internet people? It must have really bothered you
-
"Send them home crying!"

What would i do? Well let me tell you I wouldn't tell anyone on the forums

Edytowany przez użytkownika Mr_Haad: 1/7/2017 10:55:55 PMTo answer your question, I would have not let him win. Hopefully from the lost he has learned a thing or two about humility.
-
I'd play easy on a kid if I was obviously better than him, but that's just me.
-
-blam!- that kid
