Should anything from Destiny be brought over to Destiny 2?
Explain why or why not? Im curious about what the community want's for the next game.
*Edit: instead of just exotics i changed it to anything, because i liked what all of you posted down in the comments. Their Good idea's, and am also interested in what else that you guys want them to bring back. For me i would want the last word to be in the next game. It might not be in the next game, but hopefully they make something similar to it. Its fun hip firing and gives off a western vibe when i use it. Im gonna miss it.
*Edit: This statement is nothing big, but for the next game the lore and story may change if we are going into the future or past. If it doesnt then everything may stay the same.
*Edit: I am sorry to those who think i should'nt have changed the title, but like i said in the first edit people were talking about other things then exotics and they were really good idea's. I believe it should stay the way it is right now, so it can include both exotics and other things from the game.
*Edit: now there's two things going on in the comments section. One, is that people from year 1 and 2 have spent a lot of hours upon hours on this game. I'm a year one player which means i put 3 years into this game! Two, is that those who either just started or are from year 2 want a restart or bring a few things over. Now I'm gonna leave this up to the votes and the comment section, but i just said this so everyone can see what their dealing with or what others ( or yourself) have been through in this game that leads to today.

Just grimoire and shaders/emblems. I don't wanna be half done a game before it even releases.

I like the idea of having some sort of connection to my old characters and experiences beyond just ingame lore and maybe a special emblem or something. I know a lot of people argue that a new game should be a time to fix what is broken with a clean slate, but honestly what makes this game unique and fun is the flaws and memories made during it's life

Hopefully none of the BS that we have dealt with with come over to D2. It is a chance to have a fresh start and do things correctly this time.

12 OdpowiedziAs a year one player who has kept playing under the premise your characters would be available throughout all of destiny I will be severely pissed off if all those hours of gameplay became obsolete with how much money I've spent on this game since day one.

I think only specific emblems that show our feats like moments of triumph, raid emblems, etc. and we should also be able to choose one shader and one exotic weapon to bring along.

A fresh start is essential to the success of this title. Carrying over most anything from the original title will not help anybody. It all needs to be new to create a whole new experience. The only thing that should go is your grimoire score and stats. That's who we all are as individuals.

But also I wouldn't want to start a brand new game with a shed load of items weapons gear etc. A new game you're ment to start with nothing and progress to everything. Soo I'm kinda in between tbh. Unless we started with everything we own and somehow everything we find is a million times better . Nothing worse than having everything you like to then only be allowed to progress with gear that sucks(end game I mean).

2 OdpowiedziIf Destiny 2 is a complete new clean state I wouldn't really mind, but if I could keep some small things from the list below (mainly cosmetic stuff) I couldn't be happier. In order of preference: -Grimoire Score -Emotes -Emblems -Shaders -Ships -Sparrows (and the horns) -Unique Ghosts (like the Generalist Shell, Brave Shell and Holiday ghosts) If they decide to revamp some stuff like the shaders (like, making it a pallette similar to Warframe), sparrows (have different clases like combat, speed, stealth), ships (making them usable and not just a loading screen), etc, then I wouldn't mind losing them.

I would like a fresh start with emblems and shaders etc staying but other than that not really too fussed, would like to see the exotic all return for it on top of loads of new ones as I wouldn't mind having alot to collect

Things like shaders and emblems sure. Other than that I'm okay with keeping my legend here and starting fresh.

I don't care if my weapons and armor and such aren't carried over. Personally I want my grimoire score to carry over, and at the same time the D1 lore to be consistent with D2 lore.

1) All cosmetics. Basically shaders, emblems, masks, sparrows/horns, ships and maybe ghost shells (we'd need a kiosk for these first though). 2) An explanation of where the guardians went. We killed gods and overlords, then we vanish? No. I want a real, good, valid explanation. 3) Remnants of the iconic gear. Gjallahorn, thorn, vex mythoclast, necrochasm, the last word, touch of malice, outbreak prime, elder cypher exotics. Not the weapons themselves but some kind of idea that they live on in the Destiny universe. A thorn round in a wall on a pvp map. The shard of Oryx floating in a container somewhere. Little things like that, especially for raid exotics (they're proof we killed who we killed.) Only then will I accept a restart in Destiny 2 (which I hope is not called Destiny 2) - which is actually what I want, but only if the above criteria are met.

Yes everything. The choice to throw stuff away should be the players. I worked way to damn hard to achieve all the items I have right now.

I think it would be cool to be able to bring over one legendary item and one exotic item (armor or weapon). Id bring over Ruin Wings and my Keystone with outlaw/HCR/firefly.
