Missing the grind? get that old banner feeling back.
I have worked out a way to get the old grindy feeling of banner back that you all miss.
Follow these simple steps
Pick up your bounties and grind out to rank three.
Go to Lady Efrideet at the iron temple and open a bounty, yah your rank three package. You should really delete that high light legendary and go get a blue artefact engram and get that turned into a wonder, now you have that real old banner feeling.
Open a couple more bounties and ignore the drops or delete them as in the old days you wouldn't have them.
Get to rank 5 and open your final bounty, you can keep this one as it was all the reward you got.
Your done, do the same on your other two characters and you have Iron banner old style.
For that final touch go to the forums aand put a post about how rubbish the rewards are and how grindy the grind is.

1 OdpowiedźI miss the Daily bounties, they could keep the Weekly ones, but add daily bounties for rep......something to work for wile playing. Like get 20 kills with a low impact Auto, or 20 kills with a sword without ammo......how about 20 kills with a year 1 weapon.

1 OdpowiedźGod, I still remember the very first iron banner. Playing as a level 15, I think, because level didn't matter. Only have one iron banner weapon from year one, and that's my Jolders hammer, which was from the very first banner. I know the game has improved, but for me, I felt so much more passionate for the game then. No iron banner will be better than the experience of playing in the first one ever.

It's a loot fest in which you can pretty much fill every slot with much higher LL gear (relative to how you were pre-IB). I've gone from 392/390/389 to 399/399/398 in 5 days. Only need 400 gloves to finish Warlock (RNG keeps giving me 399 Exotics Got all 3 chars to Rank 5 and played beyond on al 3. Did the Shaxx weekly bounties on all 3 in parallell. Anyone complaining about the changes does not understand how much better this is

They make the grind easier, by taking off the daily buffs, so it's easier to rank up to level 3 and 5, then they make it so u don't have to rank up to level 3 and 5 for the rewards, u only need to finish the bounties.

I have no idea why Anomaly etc were brought back into 6v6. Those maps should only be for 3v3. I would vote for those to be removed from 6v6 and the combined arms maps to be added back in.

8 OdpowiedziFor real, like this is the best it's ever been. People want their rank 3 package back lol. Do you really want that 310 rare artifact. Also to everyone saying there is no point of getting to rank 5. If you want a godly Clever Dragon there sure as hell is.

1 OdpowiedźAre you kidding me! the first time iron banner was out, everyone was complaining about the grind being to hard and not worth it. Now they have nerfed the shiz out of it, and you can get rewards quadruple the amount before. You mean to tell me that you want a grind?!?! Absolutely ridiculous.

3 OdpowiedziI honestly miss the lengthy grind. People complaining that it was too grindy, and they don't have the time obviously shouldn't have the best gear or the highest LL.. I'm a solo player and always looked forward to the IB grind because to me, since I'm a PvPer, it was my end game. Now it just feels casual and meaningless. It doesn't feel special to have IB exclusive gear because now everyone can have it.. I honestly just use my IB gear to fuse with my current setup.. I don't want it to be this way, I want to be able to sport my hard earned gear. I guess I can try out Trials?

I did the going to Efrideet thing, because I didn't know. Checked for 3 and 5. I was really close to rank 3, went to her started turning in bounties, realized there were no rank packages, was happy I actually got more gear, was unhappy I dropped out of matchmaking to find out. Not that I can actually stay in matchmaking to begin with. Every day that I've played, I've only gotten to finish about 1/2 of my matches. Those dang beetles and baboons keep dos-ing me. I guess wiring my connection and forwarding my ports was part of the grind, to make me feel like I was actually doing something, though in actuality it seems have had no effect whatsoever.

Have to agree the complaints are ridiculous, I'd maybe get 1/2 useful drops in the old IB, I've had loads of stuff this time, Destiny is far from perfect but it's getting better bit by bit
