Personally I feel like the 80s' is the worst decade in music. Music became extremely dumbed down until 90s' Hip Hop.

6 Odpowiedzi2010 Sorry ! That "rap" genre is just utterly stupid and terrible! Also everyone who makes it is a disrespectful asshat so they make it seem ;-; Can't ban me for my opinion
EDM is what I like if that's what you're thinking
31 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika xj3ewok: 10/17/2016 1:17:27 PMOur current decade I think is by far the worse. Rock is more or less dead, rap is abysmal, country is still horrible, and pop music only talks about two subjects: tonight and dance. There are a few gems though, mostly indie music and music from Europe.

I like everything, but my favourite has to be doo-wop or jazz, especially by Perry Como.

Any time with disco was a bad time.

5 OdpowiedziThe current era definitely has the worst music. The current "pop stars" continue to spew out worthless shit for music that most of them dont even write themselves and most kids today have no respect at all for the classic musicians or songs. Rock is all but dead and metal is still trying but also dying. There are a few British bands trying to make some good stuff but it gets washed out with all of this "now watch me whip, and watch me nae nae" bullshit. Seriously the music genre is dying.

I don't get the whole "I was born in the wrong generation" mentality most of the shitheels on this site have when it comes to music. Like, if your favorite music was made in the 80s', why would you want to go back to that time when the music is already out now and you can just listen to it whenever you want and you just have more options now? I know that's not the point of the thread, I'm just tired of the "all modern music is trash" bandwagon when people are just listening to the radio instead of actually looking for good music when it's out there.
-
There's s usually music from everywhere I like and hate. Rap is in a better state than its ever been in and this decade saw the rise of trip-hop, so I can't really hate.

5 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika C4: 11/3/2016 12:06:02 AMProbably '90s. I personally like rap, which a lot of people say ruins today's music. Not the stereotypical rap like so many people who don't listen to rap think it is though. Edit: I do understand that rap had a big part for culture in the '90s, but it seems it's became so much bigger and mainstream today. Also, it's evolved in ways to become different.

The 00's were the worst in my opinion because people actually thought pop music was decent.

1 OdpowiedźThe 80s were the best. Music took off in every direction then. What are you talking about op.

12 OdpowiedziIs it just me or is rock truly dead? Flea from the chili peppers says this all the time. I tend to agree. Bands now days I hear on the radio, seem to sound ok and be catchy and what not. But they are very simplistic musically. I know there are some songs that are new that can be complex to play. Just seems like the days of awesome solos are gone.
-
1 OdpowiedźNone. Every decade has its own terrible music and as society's preferences change, so do both the good and the bad, making them not very comparable.
-
Honestly, only artist I like in the current days of music is Justin Timberlake. The 20/20 Experience is one of the best albums I have ever listened to. However, I also love 50s music and listen to it often and I can thank the Fallout games on that one.

All music is subjective, but I'd pick this current generation's music. It has no true talent or skill behind it. All of the most popular songs have the same idea, the same theme, and the same feel. Now a lot of songs in certain generations tend to sound similar and borrow certain assets from each other, but this generation sounds like it steals the whole song and just changes one word. Probably the biggest culprit of this is rap. Each song sings about curvy girls, each song uses auto tune, and each song sounds like the other (in the literal sense). That's just my opinion and I'm tired while typing this so I might've messed up some things.

Slightly relevant.
