First, if what I am about to say causes any emotional upset (I know you'll feel my pain) I am truly sorry and hope you don't suffer nightmares as a result. I'm a year 1 player and I've invested WAY too much time into Destiny and bought all the DLC. I've enjoyed all the good things about Destiny and suffered much of the bad - but this takes the biscuit. It was early August 2016 when I first attempted to preorder The Rise of Iron. Nope! PSN gracefully provided an error code and said that I did not own The Take King! Funny that! You see, I've been playing it since day of release, I have 50 Calcified Fragments and have completed year 2 Moments of Triumph - how could I not own The Taken King I ask myself? So of course I think - 'This is a glitch, they'll sort it out'. WRONG! I'm so stupid, what an idiot - foolish foolish man ahhhhhhhh. So 18th and 19th of September 2016 are spent trying to establish wtf I was supposed to do - I was scared, alone and completely in the dark. I did the PSN live chat thing and after convincing them my problem was also their problem, they opened a ticket and said they'll be in touch when it's my turn - I guess I'll be lucky to hear anything from them in the next 7-10 days. If they can actually help, I guess it will take weeks. As of right now, I still can't buy The Rise of Iron. It seems that the problem is to due with the license for The Taken King. They had some problem / glitch with some TTK transactions back at release (which I knew nothing about) and thus, it becomes my problem all these months later. For the record, I can't buy TTK now either - why? Because I already own it! So here I am, facing the end of my Destiny Journey. Here's what I need to avert such a disastrous end. 1. Allow me to purchase The Rise of Iron (I am entitled - I got cash and The Taken King) 2. Assure me that when I do finally find I'm able to buy The Rise of Iron, that you will honour my attempts to preorder and furnish me with the preoreder bonuses to which I am entitled. I WANT MY SPARROW AND GHORN. 3. Say sorry and don't let The Traveller hear about this - he will hit the roof (probably (erm hopefully) with the corpses of those guilty of this transgression). In this case, maybe I will be a year 10 player as I always dreamed of - maybe, just maybe, I will be legend. Maybe... no, it's all just too much... ... If I don't return, you know what became of me - I did not abandon you. Bungie I'm not the only one, please do something about this. The Problem is so wide spread, mention of it has even turned up on Amazon product review! lol. Here's what I just found: I just purchased this code from Amazon as the PlayStation store was showing it as unavailable for purchase, and I couldn't buy it in-game either. Tried the code on PSN and it said it was invalid. So, clicked on the redeem button on the Amazon purchase page, it took me to the Sony page to sign into my account and was available immediately :-) 2 things to note: if you don't have destiny update 1.28 installed, do this first, and also try restoring your licenses via the PlayStation settings > account management. This has been said to be a fix for some people having issues. Had to try to log on a few times as the servers are very busy but everything working perfectly now.
