This is hands down the simplest thing Bungie could do to improve the game. Remember snipers? They got nerfed accross the whole game because they were too OP in trials. They nerfed ammo capacity. No we have to play strikes/raids with a handful of sniper rounds. Now shotguns are nerfed. Fine. But why does the strength of a weapon in one game mode need to affect the entire game? With the exception of truly epic weapons like Gally, the overwhelming majority of Nerfs happen because some aspect of game play is unbalanced in PvP. However, nerfing like this only makes the entire game UNBALANCED
Imagine you have a two level house, with one thermostat on the first floor. People constantly adjust the temperature, because it is cold downstairs. Well guess what? Hot air rises, and turing up the temp downstairs causes the upstairs to get too hot.
It is the same principle with how Bungie does Nerfs. They don't realize/don't care that their game is a structure (like a house) that has different sections with different needs. I would like to see this change in year 3. I'm betting the new Khvostov exotic will be amazing, probably too OP in crucible. But PLEASE, don't Nerf it in a way that negatively affects auto rifle performance in PvE. Please Bungie, balance the game. Don't let Nerfs inadvertently screw up the whole system.
Like If you want PvP Nerfs In RoI to be kept SEPARATE from PvE.
Edit: I have never had 750 notifications before! Thank you everyone for the overwhelming response on this issue. Even if Bungie is not listening, I'm sure they've noticed. After reading many responses, I can respect the idea that we want our weapons to handle the same accross the game. I hope someone smarter than me finds a solution for this. However, changes to ammo capacity absolutely still prove my point: Nerfs on PvP should be kept SEPARATE from PvE. We should not have to scrounge for sniper ammo in PvE because a few Trials gods are camping with snipers...

I might come back to destiny if they do this and make this permanent

2 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika CookieNiki: 9/19/2016 11:03:00 PMIt should have been like that since the beginning but Bungie already said that they want weapons to behave the same way in PvE and PvP, for the sake of a cohesive experience. With that said, I believe that no matter how much traction this gets that change will not happen anytime soon.
-
I agree 100%. I want them to give us back our reserve ammo and un-nerf snipers in PvE.

4 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika Rebellis: 9/19/2016 11:49:13 PMKey up obnoxiously loud dub step intro music with seizure inducing graphics. What's up YouTube fans, this is Your-Moms-A-Smelly-Twat back again today to tell you how stoked I am for Call of Iron tomorrow and it's new PvP game mode Kill Confirmed. New content for my Twitch stream, bitches! Ok that's all for now because the rest of this video will just be me flapping my gums for the next 8 minutes while a sniper montage plays in the background. Be sure to like and subscribe.
This is the type of player Bungie is willing to sacrifice PvE for.
I really like the fact that you add that it was trials that they were op in. It's so true, realistically they weren't even much better than the rest in regular old crucible.

Come on Bungie. Separate PvE from PvP. You know it can be done. We know it can be done. No more hiding behind lame excuses.
-
There are tons of examples of games on the market that have separate gear for PvP and PvE. A great compromise would be the following: blues and greens can be used freely in crucible. Legendaries must either be earned from end of match rewards or purchased from Shaxx/Saladin. Exotics would be the only cross gamemode gear above blues.

Even Blizzard gave up on the whole "keep PvE and PvP balance together" idea for WoW Legion. And they're Blizzard, the company notorious for being great at balancing. Bungie is in way over their heads (Sombra confirmed) if they still think they can pull it off.

Bump AF!

Just straight up keep PvP and PvE seperate. Have 2 weapon tuning systems. I don't know, I kinda don't care because the game is fun and I love both PvP and PvE aspects of Destiny. Just keep it fun, and give us some more ammo in PvE like the old days... lol

Hades to the Mother-Blaming YES!
stupid crucibabies with all their nerfs.
2 OdpowiedziActually Jon Weisenki has said he doesn't care about PvE. In fact, in one interview he said it was just practice. Also, I think most people are thinking about this the wrong way. People want sniper ammo to get buffed. But how about special drops more frequently from ads? Keeps PvP snipers in check, but allows them to perform better in PvE. (Even though it is kind of stupid how it's the one stop shop for PvE)
