This is hands down the simplest thing Bungie could do to improve the game. Remember snipers? They got nerfed accross the whole game because they were too OP in trials. They nerfed ammo capacity. No we have to play strikes/raids with a handful of sniper rounds. Now shotguns are nerfed. Fine. But why does the strength of a weapon in one game mode need to affect the entire game? With the exception of truly epic weapons like Gally, the overwhelming majority of Nerfs happen because some aspect of game play is unbalanced in PvP. However, nerfing like this only makes the entire game UNBALANCED
Imagine you have a two level house, with one thermostat on the first floor. People constantly adjust the temperature, because it is cold downstairs. Well guess what? Hot air rises, and turing up the temp downstairs causes the upstairs to get too hot.
It is the same principle with how Bungie does Nerfs. They don't realize/don't care that their game is a structure (like a house) that has different sections with different needs. I would like to see this change in year 3. I'm betting the new Khvostov exotic will be amazing, probably too OP in crucible. But PLEASE, don't Nerf it in a way that negatively affects auto rifle performance in PvE. Please Bungie, balance the game. Don't let Nerfs inadvertently screw up the whole system.
Like If you want PvP Nerfs In RoI to be kept SEPARATE from PvE.
Edit: I have never had 750 notifications before! Thank you everyone for the overwhelming response on this issue. Even if Bungie is not listening, I'm sure they've noticed. After reading many responses, I can respect the idea that we want our weapons to handle the same accross the game. I hope someone smarter than me finds a solution for this. However, changes to ammo capacity absolutely still prove my point: Nerfs on PvP should be kept SEPARATE from PvE. We should not have to scrounge for sniper ammo in PvE because a few Trials gods are camping with snipers...

1 OdpowiedźWhy don't you start a petition? I'm sure Bungie will listen to this just like they have with those

I've been wanting the PVE and PVP to be separate since the start I feel that more often than not, weapon buffs and needs are based off of PVP, not to mention the quests which require PVP to progress. Some of us don't want to. I'm not great, but I enjoy the strikes and everything far beyond the PVP element If I had a godly sniper rifle in PVE, I don't think it should be nerfed because it gets abused in crucible...

Please do this

2 OdpowiedziThe problem is you're assuming it's about PvP. It's not. It's about the lack of content. Bungie can't keep content droughts from happening, so next best thing is to slow down the pace. How do you do that? Take away elemental primaries, nerf ammo capacity, nerf weapons, and nerf supers. I want Vanilla remastered with everything at it's pre nerf state. That would be some awesome sheit. But hey what do I know, nothing.

This is good!

3 Odpowiedzi2600+ people still use the forums? Lol that's impressive!

5 OdpowiedziCertain weapons and abilities already receive damage bonuses in pve. I suspect that Bungie don't want to drastically alter how weapons behave in the two modes as it would make them feel disjointed.

if they restored everything to pre-TTK launch PVE weapon power (including shotguns) and they made PVE and PVP separate balances, I might consider getting RoI. Their refusal to do this has lead me to decide to pursue other games.

17 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika Willakkuma: 9/19/2016 11:42:46 PMFirst Set Of Interrogatory Questions for the Original Poster - 1. Specifically, aside from simple desire why do you want pve/pvp nerfs separated? If possible, quantify your response (e.g. "it takes me _______ (fill in the blank minutes) longer to complete a strike with less special ammo available."). 2. If pve is imbalanced, as you claim, explain why it is common to see such a wide variety of load-outs for pve activities where it appears most combinations can accomplish any pve goal including end-game? 3. Keeping in mind the current pvp playlist separation between level advantages enabled/disabled, and all pve activities, in your opinion which area would suffer the highest degree of failure to offer viability if there were zero nerfs, dating back to the Destiny's inception? 4. In your opinion, at the present time which game mode is more difficult to make progress in as either a solo player or fire team member - pve or pvp? 5. In your opinion, which game mode evolves more over time - pve or pvp, and why? 6. Have you considered implementation of optional ranked/un-ranked pvp playlists? If so, how do you believe it would effect the game in both pve and pvp? 7. If you were playing Destiny in yr 1 when "Gally" was available, did you at any point witness players excluding others from activities including Nightfall and Raids because they did not have this weapon? If so, have you witnessed a change in this mind set in yr 2? 8. Please explain how you arrived at your correlation/hypothesis between cold/hot air differential and Destiny's multi-tiered game function. First Set Of Request For Admissions for the Original Poster - (Admissions may be answered with "Admit" or "Deny". All Request For Admissions will be deemed Admitted if you do not make timely response). 1. A so-called weapons "meta" is more prevalent in pvp than pve at the present time. 2. The introduction of Heavy Swords has been a game-changing addition in pve. 3. Weapons and/or class/sub-class nerfs have made it impossible to complete pve activities. 4. Weapons and/or class/sub-class nerfs have made it more viable to compete in pvp activities. 5. Data collection should not be considered when implementing changes to Destiny game play. 6. The term "Over-Powered" is in no way relevant to pve game play pertaining either to weapons or sub-class. 7. The term "Over-Powered" is in no way relevant to pvp play pertaining either to weapons or sub-class. 8. Bungie has a vested interest in creating a pvp environment that will keep newer players engaged. 9. Bungie has made a number of changes to the pve game which have come via the request of it's players.

How about no more nerfs instead.

Isn't that practically, programming wise or whatever, a development nightmare? I can only imagine that each code has to be adjusted or something, which would make for some tedious sweat shop work. I don't think its that big of deal and if it was implemented, imagine how much of a problem that would create. It's just too much. Direct their attention to something more worth while. Like clan comms and in game clan accessibility. Online rosters are great and a step in the right direction.

I am mainly a PvE player and honestly, it does not bother me at all. Personally, I would rather it was left alone as I dont want the same weapon acting differently depending on whether Im in PvP or PvE. Its not like PvE is that hard anyway so nerfs arent that gamebreaking.

I love the "herp derp pve needs to adjust to nerfs hur dur" douches. You shitty crybabies should have adapted to so called "OP" weapons in first place, lazy boohoo motherfukers...
