The last time I got one (about a month ago), came from urzok the hated in the cosmodrome. I've had one drop in the Crota raid also. It's super random now.

The Husk can only be dropped from Blades of Crota, I understand the Urzok claim, but its impossible for it to drop in Crota

Last time I checked those swordbearers in the raid were considered as such. Plus the blades don't come around anymore anywhere.

The swordbearers in the raid don't drop the husk. The husk of the pit only drops from blades of crota. sadly, now the only place you can find a blade is in the fist of crota mission.

True. And the Fist of Crota knight at the start drops it.

Oh crap that's right! I didn't think of that.... You might be able to spam that mission considering at our higher levels it takes about 3 or 4 power swings from a sword to kill the boss. Darn good idea!!

Why would you have to continue? Just go to orbit right after you kill the Blade and restart.

I pop 3oC to try and get more exotic engrams and go for the boss. It's a short mission.

Too short. IMO you're wasting coins by popping them so rapidly. Good luck farming though.
