I give credit to Jamesyboy1985 for inspiring this idea.
Instead of turning in engrams to Rahool, suppose we could donate them to our factions for reputation?
This should totally be an option. Blue would grant small amounts, let's say the same amount as a weapon part donation. Legendary would grant double this rep, and exotic should grant insane amounts of faction rep; say, 500 per engram for an exotic donation.
If factions are eager for our weapon parts and heavy ammo, imagine how grateful they'd be for weapon and armor engrams. If a Guardian is willing to pass up the chance of finding out what's in that engram, by turning it over to their chosen faction- well, then, their loyalty must truly be worth rewarding! Surely Lakshmi, Jalal, and Hideo would love to get their hands on some prime exotics.
Make it happen!

45 OdpowiedziThat is an interesting idea. I'll share it with the investment team and see what they think. The Cryptarch might be against it though. ;)

1 OdpowiedźBut we can do that Already Engram turns into armor or weapon which then turns into materials or weapon parts which I then Donate to Factions If they do let us send Engrams to factions Directly, make sure the rep gain is equivalent to the amount its dissasembly materials would have gained.

3 OdpowiedziRahool decodes engrams as follows Rares 50, Legendary 75, Exotic 250. Don't think Bungie would do more than that for factions. Also trading Legendary Marks would be a good idea.

19 OdpowiedziWho would donate freaking exotics?

This is a great idea. They should do it for Legendary Marks and Glimmer as well.
-
Or exotic shards.
-
5 OdpowiedziWhat if the faction people decrypted the engrams into faction gear? All Bungie needs to do is re-skin their ugly armour/weapon models with the ugly faction colours and boom, they just multiplied the number of armour and weapons in the game 3 fold. (Sorry, I just find most of the armour and weapons in this game to be really ugly.)
-
1 OdpowiedźIn a way they do, because you shard those engrams, and you can donate weapons parts and armor materials.
-
2 OdpowiedziHow about letting us donate some of those stupid runes I have stacking up on every character? They are just taking up space.
-
I love that idea because rahool is dumb so let's make those engrams useful
-
I like this idea.
-
I would actually have a reason to use three of coins again. This is an awesome idea.
-
Or simply increase the legendary drops in engrams and rank packages.......all I get from him is blue stuff and I'm approaching rank 100 on all three classes Should be like every other rank package...when you get a cryptarch rank give us a couple random legendary engrams
-
This is a really great idea, I would rather turn in my blues to factions once I have a certain level of motes/strange coins.
-
That would be cool
-
9 OdpowiedziThe problem with this is you would start to notice you are running very low on glimmer, weapon parts, motes, strange coins, etc.
-
6 OdpowiedziWhat about faction exotic weapons? Have to hand them 30 legendary engrams for the last quest step~
-
Cool idea. Bump
-
Hmmm, I don't know, I kinda want to use min 71 exotic engrams for Roi with master rahool. I have plenty of stuff for faction rep but this would be a nice feature so BUMP
-
Strange coins, legendary marks, primary ammo synth, enemy drops (silken codexs/black wax idols etc) and glimmer should also be available to donate. Got buckets of all of those going spare.
-
Not a bad idea. I think the real issue is the garbage loot the Cryptarch hands out. If I hand in 100 blue engrams, do you really think a blue engram is a suitable reward...? He had a couple of shaders introduced but overall that guy needs to up his game.
-
Bump. Why not legendary marks as well?
-
Move this to the wish list of Cozmo!'n

5 OdpowiedziBetter: Donating actual weapons and armor to them. Exotics give the most, then their legendary Faction guns, then other legendaries, then blues, then greens, then whites.
