Rise of Iron is going to take re-skin to a whole new level
After seeing some of the gear for this upcoming DLC, i got to say that i'm really disappointed. The faction gear is not only the same design as the current vanguard gear, but it is also [b]the same design for all 3 factions[/b] but with their respective logos and colors. The vanguard and crucible gear not only has the same design, but it's the same design as the first IB gear(at least the warlock and titan). At least in previous DLC the gear, although re-skins, were different between factions. At that rate, everyone will end up looking the same again, like vanilla days :/

1 OdpowiedźLiterally just adding vanity slots would solve all irrelevant gear problems.

Maybe, but TTK gear is still ascendable, so some may have desolate gear for example they bring forward. We shall see I suppose

3 OdpowiedziYa, I'm pretty irritated that they just haven't implemented a transmog/vanity slots system for old armor sets... I mean if they're basically just going to reskin old armor why not let us at least skin the armor we actually WANT to wear instead of limiting our choices like this? We can still infuse stuff from TTK which makes it a little more bearable, but still... I wanna wear my VoG gear dammit!

1 OdpowiedźNot surprising at all. This game is good at 1 thing; charging a subscription fee in the disguise of "new DLC". That's part of the reason you can't keep enjoying pre-existing content unless you buy it. If they charged everyone $5-$10 a month since the beginning, we'd have spent the same amount we have up to this point. It just doesn't feel as bad because it's in lump sums for DLC.

2 OdpowiedziThey have been re-skinning armor and weapons as well as making "new maps" that are ran backwards or during a different time of day since the beginning. They use the same maps sometimes 3 or 4 times! Y are you surprised? Bungie are the short-cut, cheap-difficulty kings.

6 OdpowiedziFaction armor is always reskinned armor from the previous sets. This isn't new and it's not a big deal. It's a way for people to keep the style they like even after a new dlc comes out.
