Following needs to be fixed when Rise of Iron launches. Crucible is now uber-competitive and filled with 335 try-hards using Grasp, MIDA, Doctrine, Eyasluna, etc. No one is experimenting with different loadouts because all the other primaries are so gimped. And casual players have absolutely no chance, outside of cheap supers. It needs to be shaken up and made friendlier. Please. For everyone's sanity.
- Snipers are ridiculously easy to use because nothing pressures them, even at surprisingly close ranges, and body shot damage is very high.
- MIDA feels OP as hell (like Suros, Vex, Thorn before it)
- Auto rifles are still 99.9% useless (Doctrine aside)
- It's nowhere near as easy to hit headshots with primaries (not snipers) as it was in year 1 because of all the weird tweaks to the range stat, etc. I think this hurts casuals the most.
- Hand cannons are too unstable and slow to be fun.
- Titan skating is unbelievably dumb (I main a Titan and 'skating' just isn't what this class is meant to be about; it's meant to be a tank). The solution should have been higher armor to counter high agility of other classes. Other classes can counter Titans too easily through pure evasion.
- CQB is absolutely horrendous. No drama because rangefinder shotgun range ends it so quickly
- Melee hits on someone who is about to strike you with their super frequently do not register.
- Every single match is hyper competitive. That's not enjoyable. It's draining.
I'm not playing any more Crucible until next patch. I can't stand the lack of variety. And I know I'm not the only one. My friends don't even want to play at all any more - and it's bumming out their excitement for Rise of Iron.
The fun has been gradually sucked out of this game since Taken King dropped. Is it just that the try-hards are left still playing? Well, maybe make the crucible a less hostile environment for lapsed players and it wouldn't be so over-competitive. I don't want to sweat my ass off in every match.
I bet it's all been said a thousand times. Monthly balance updates are needed, in my view, with an emphasis on promoting variety and FUN.

TL:DR - best loadouts and rolls have reached saturation point, and primaries are mostly awful. The crucible is therefore ruined, and someone needs to hit the big reset button.

5 OdpowiedziI think what ruins crucible the most is the fact that their are so many people who CAN ONLY slide and shotgun or camp around a corner with it. No skill scrubs. If you use a shotgun I look down on you especially if your using universal remote primary, you basically got a no skill dunce cap on your head
-
Good news for you. Private matches! So you and all your whiney scrub friends can go play on your own.

4 OdpowiedziI stopped at snipers aren't pressured.

I'd prefer Destiny went the route of Borderlands and just had no major PvP. But Bungie can't even make good PvE content anyways.

16 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika Peacecraft: 8/23/2016 5:19:39 PMHow about no. Something given has no valuation. PvP means player versus Player. This means that the difficulty grade that you encounter is entirely dependent upon the guardians that you face, and there will always be slightly optimal load outs in which to choose. Additionally, there is an optimal choice for each weapon subclass. My hunter rocks Last Word and Weylorans with Hidden Hand and a Shortgaze, Gunslinger, with Ahamkaras Spine. If the map isn't suitable, I'll switch to a hawksaw and a Chaperone. I have tier 11 gear. I have a load out or two for each of my characters. And having spent year one mildly floundering, my KDs are consistently 1.5-2.5 in crucible matches to include Iron Banner. Map awareness, proper firing and alternate firing angles on a map. Know when you're alone. Know when the spawn flips. Know to perhaps save your super for heavy ammo. Burn special. If challenged and you don't have the advantage? Run. When I started taking those factors into account, along with trap mining ammo drops and heavy areas, and playing a more patient game, the fact that I was effectively utilizing my time rewarded me, and rewarded my KD. See a good player? Ask to duo. Develop a fire team. I run with a consistent crew of 4-6. You can't nerf a player, because driven players will always seek the competitive edge, and if a true meta is 50/50, game play becomes irrelevant as it becomes a coin flip. Now, all that applies to 6v6. I'm a terrible 3v3. It's a different meta with different applications and different risk reward values. Shut up, and get gud.

3 OdpowiedziOnly thing about crucible that really sucks is the damn drop rates. They are still horrible. Grinding away for an hour for rep and not a single legendary drop. Give me a break. Also the light levels are a joke on the drops. I am a 331 and I am getting mid 200 drops. Just sad.

1 Odpowiedźcruicible is fun but Cronusmax ruined the game .

Edytowany przez użytkownika zI NaVySeal Iz: 8/23/2016 7:09:40 PMThe only thing that is above all annoying is when you in mid range challenging a sniper I just had this happened a few days ago, got two burst's into his (neck/head area) he sniped me in the head immediately after my 3rd burst went out and we traded. Get the f*** out of here with that s*** bungie. LoL! :/

2 OdpowiedziI vote for group therapy. We could spawn into a map, sit in uncomfortable metal folding chairs, eat stale donuts and drink bad coffee. This will happen simultaneously while crying on each others shoulders in regards to how OP fusion rifles are. Instead of calling it the Crucible and having Shaxx commentate it, Master Rahool can offer soft words of encouragement. We can call it Guardians for getting good or GGG for short.
-
I can tolerate the crucible in whatever state it's in. However... There are 3 things that really REALLY get my goat: In frustration order... 3. The inconsistency of shotguns. I will point blank hit someone with a shotgun. No kill. Someone hits me from 10 feet away and I'm dead. 2. The lack of unflinching on sniper rifles when being planted with bullets. It is sooooooooo frustrating to be hitting a sniper in the face with bullet after bullet after bullet and just as said guardian is about to die, their magical reflexes pull off that unreal Headshot and insta-kill me.... grrrrrrr!! And lastly, my biggest gripe with Destiny's crucible 1. Blink!!!!!! I hate this Mechanic so much, nothing is more infuriating than pretty much Killing a warlock or hunter for them to Blink toward me and drop a shotgun on me... Like WTF bungie

1 OdpowiedźWhat i hate the most is the matchmaking they put all the good players on one team and all the shitty players on the other. So one match u completely kick the other teams ass or vise versa they clean the floor with u. Very rarely is there an even match. This is specially more in trials
-
I don't know what they changed but Dealbreaker is amazing now.
-
I think it's fun ;)

1 OdpowiedźYou're right! We should nerf fusion rifles!

You know i used the nlb for the first time this past week and i had alot of fun with it as a defender. It was nice mixing it up. Also i hate sniping.

Edytowany przez użytkownika Psykotikphayze: 8/23/2016 6:13:12 PMI agree with you to at least some extent on your points. Unfortunately no discussion on this topic on these forums will ever be productive as so many here can't remain objective due to lack of perspective. At the lower skill levels the game is still great with tons of variety. the people they get matched against either don't have the meta guns or aren't skilled enough to use them to their full potential. And red bars/switchers aren't really an issue as the pool of players to be matched against is much larger and it isn't encountered as often (who lag switches to get a .6 kd? lol). Things are great for the average to below average. For the above average, they have the ability to overcome the meta in a lot of cases by using experience. They can be successful using non-meta loadouts by refined tactics. They however lack the motivation or determination to do long term testing to prove that their 1.3-1.7 k/d could be a 2 by sticking to the meta instead of hopping around all the time. As well as lag is much more prevalent in this tier, so often failures are blamed on the fact that their opponent was a red bar (and they aren't always wrong in this, it happens A LOT). The extreme top end players (2+), well they have the skills to do pretty much whatever they want and get away with it. There are very few players who can match them. They also stick mostly to sweats and trials, which are governed by their own rules and have their own issues. When they do queue in normal crucible, it is typically in at least a partial fireteam with experience in communication and working together, which helps to trump the meta. Personally I am somewhere in the slightly above average. But I sometimes play on my gf's account to see the lower end of the spectrum. And I watch quite a few of the top tier streamers. The differences are so great that it is like a different game for each group and you will find wildly varying perspectives due to that.

4 OdpowiedziCountering snipers it's super easy with a mida or ranged weapon idk what you're talking about.
-
1. Snipers can be countered in several very effective ways. A quick DM type with a scout, a Striker shoulder-charging them while they're peering down the scope, and some judicious use of cover or invisibility. And if someone can headshoot you when you're invisible, evading, and using cover... well, they deserve the kill. 2. Statistically, MIDA is average. People just use it because of its reputation. 3. I have decent results with SUROS Regime. Especially with the latter part of the clip, when damage starts to spike and hits heal you. 4. Scouts seem to work all right, and I've had decent results with some autos and pulses. And while I'm a heavy player, I definitely have casual-level skill. 5. The idea with CQB is to stay out of shotgun range unless you're using a shotgun.
-
Mida is just another gun without HCR.
-
1 OdpowiedźWhole post became invalid when you said MIDA was OP on Thorn and Vex levels. Thorn would send players into hiding after one headshot and Vex Mythoclast was straight up broken with insane TTK. MIDA is a relative piece of sh** compared to those two.
-
I think making Mayhem Clash and Mayhem Rumble permanent playlists would fix everything for me.
-
1 OdpowiedźI'm glad you understand how bad Crucible is. I made a post raging at it and I talked about the same shit you just did. People are slowly coming to the realization that it is bad in Crucible. I love using Auto Rifles, but I can't kill anyone with them in Crucible because it 2 shots from the mainstream weapons, my shield is gone and one more kills me. It is ridiculous.
-
Bungie please remove all weapons and supers. Give us foam swords and pillows so we can just hang out and chill. I suck at pvp but am getting better. If you want to be good then you have to play. What fun would it be if you jumped right in and could wreck. You should try COD
-
I use tons of different guns...everyday I pick a new gun and use it in crucible...we haven't got many new weapons for a long time and it's refreshing to use different weapons n load outs.... I can't blame other people for using meta weapons n load outs tho...I really don't care either... So many casuals have left n it's pretty much all die hard destiny players that like the game(even though there are many frustrating things)... Once dlc comes out it will be better....
-
Here is an original idea, how about we play the game how we want to.
