First off I THINK DROPPING LAST GEN IS THE RIGHT THING TO DO. BUT,
Why are you being SO RUDE to the people on last gen all of the sudden?
I play on PS4 and PC. I have the current hardware. But I'm not on here assblasting last gen players!
The second they announced that change I was happy because that means we'll probably get more vault space, but I knew it would turn into a civil war on here.
Be understanding. We are all human beings and there is no need to be so rude to people who might not be excited about dropping $400 for a console, $60 for Destiny Legendary Edition and then another $30 for Rise of Iron.
Give people a break. If you see someone complaining about it, just ignore it, no need to kick them while they're down.
Guardians need to stand together instead of yelling at each other over which plastic box plays our games.

It isn't that people are against last gen, we're simply for not being held back by space restricted consoles anymore. It isn't our fault that last gen users haven't upgraded yet, just like it isn't their fault that bungie decided to implement this earlier than they thought (for those that thought it would be at destiny 2). Now, yea, they shouldn't be punished for sticking with their current consoles until the end, but we shouldn't have to be let down with another expansion because of the space constraints of their consoles either. And for those that might say something like, "but I have plenty of space left on my harddrive!" it isn't just about fitting the data into your system, it's about that data being able to run smoothly, and from what I've heard about the last gen experience, it just barely does that now. Add another 20+GB and it'll be a choppy mess with constant frame drops and crashes. Urk even said that if they were to go ahead with rise of iron on last gen, they would have to cut out content from previous expansions that you already own and played, just so it would fit properly. That tells me that they tried it with a recent build, and it just did not work. It might be a bit of a stretch for some of you to be able to afford it, but once you move up to current gen, you'll be thanking bungie for this. I'll end with this: on current gen, it doesn't take half an hour to open the menu screen. That alone should persuade you.

1 OdpowiedźThey have entitlement issues. Most are lacking in there real life and it makes them feel better about themselves to bash on the less fortunate.
-
2 OdpowiedziFirst of all: Don't doubt yourselves, last genners! YOU CAN GET A CURRENT GEN CONSOLE! Think about Shia Lebouf's motivational speech! JUST DO IT! WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!?!? Seriously though... I just want you guys in the current gen's population. We shouldn't be divided even further.. we are already divided by Corporate Console Competition.. we shouldn't be divided further within those Corporate restrictions. Make it work, Guardians. YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!! Shia believes in you!!!!!!!!

I also see no need to shit talk last gen players. Everyone has reasons as to why they can't afford to upgrade, or why they don't want to spend their money. No matter if they are a kid with no job or an adult with a family to support, why bash them over a game? Life outside of Destiny is more important. For me it's a good way to relax and stop thinking about being a responsible adult for a little while lol. The internet turns people into horrible monsters and trolls, but I try to avoid that trend.

Hi everyone It was going to happen at some point anyway. So it's just happens budgie are the first to really push the issue.

1 OdpowiedźIm gonna move to the Xbox One S when it's released;) looks sexy af

1 OdpowiedźIf your on 360 upgrade to the Xbox One S when it comes out better hardware and the new destiny expansion.

If you're finally dropping last gen then these dlc's better have next gen content.. the shit u pulled with house of wolves, Crota, and even taken king isn't going to cut it any more I just bought blood and wine for the witcher 3 for 20$ and holy shit that's is one beautiful piece of work.. tha6s how dlc should be. Not story mission that are just previous missions played backwards in the locations we've been in since year one.

1 OdpowiedźMost of us were on last gen. So you're making fun of more than just those on last gen now.
-
I fell like its really sad that there leaving us last gen players behind and a lot of us still play on them because we don't have the money from a new 400$ PS 4 and speaking of a lot of us playing on them I'm in a lot of PS3 groups and they equal up to 31,000 people on them and then think about all of the XBox 360 players
-
2 OdpowiedziI'm glad there leaving behind last gen, only because I'm running out of vault space, and better graphics. I am sad and feel really bad for last gen players, and bashing them isn't cool. On behalf of the next gen console players that care, we are sorry.

Let me tell you a secret no one knows it's fun to be rude on the Internet! It doesn't matter the topic the rude boys of the Internet are always lurking
-
3 OdpowiedziThe rude ones are all trump supporters. Their hatred is coming out because their cult leader is doing the same.

Well said. I'm a ps3 player, I'm not even bothered about the new DLC. The way o see it I've saved £30 and still get to play trials. If it was released on ps3 they would hold trials hostage like before. I only play destiny and spending £300 just to play the DLC just isn't money well spent. I'll keep playing what I have for free thanks. It's not about affording it for a lot of people it's about "is it really worth it?" People that are rude about it should ask themselves why they feel the need to do it because to me it just sounds like they have some issues that need resolving.
-
1 OdpowiedźThe only reason I do that is because the last gen players keep whining about how bungie took their game away, but they didn't... They still have destiny.
-
Because at this point they really no longer have any right to complain about being left behind when the old gen shouldve been dropped a long time ago
-
We are all human beings and there is no need to be so rude to people who might not be excited about dropping $400 for a console, .
U did that before when you bought the PS3

People don't know when to stop, and to be honest, I'm still on last gen and am not crazy about this decision. Bungie still has yet to come right out and say why this was done especially for the last dlc of this game. And no Vg24/7 is not a official response. A good portion of people I've met and know still on the older console are flat out walking away, and have expressed that their not coming back. So yeah, I do think they need to address this, there's more older generation players than Bungie is caring to admit I really feel it was a financial decision more than anything. But whatever, I myself was going to buy a new machine just kept having setbacks, one does what one can. As to the lashing out I really wish people would just let those who have a issue talk to Bungie Deej or whoever, and not respond to their frustration with more negativity. It doesn't help people or solve anything. Sadly the communication is still lacking from the company to talk to its fans. Even on the livestream they ignored chat for the most part.

Because other people don't try to understand what others are going through whether it be financial or emotional trauma in their real-life that is barring them from affording to upgrade. Only way I could upgrade was tax return as I'm broke like all the time. I'd like to remind everyone that we are all the same whether we have money or not and the roles could have easily been reversed.

12 OdpowiedziYeah, we knew the last gen was gonna be dropped eventually, but most of use assumed that it would be Destiny 2 or whatever stupid name it will go by that caused the drop. Absolutely nothing about Rise of Iron that we have seen so far is indicative of needing current gen hardware. Unless Bungie suddenly added a bunch of mechanics that won't work on old gen, this is a bit dickish. No, vault space is not a reason for needing current gen. Dark Souls 1 and 2, Skyrim, Dragon's Dogma, and a vast multitude of other games have storage spaces that dwarf Destiny by an insane amount. Bungie just doesn't know how to program well, which is why their current engine is terrible and takes far too long to adjust simple things. The new region cannot be larger than any play area seen on old gen. Just Cause 2 was enormous with no problems. The only reason, ONLY reason for the current gen being necessary is for graphical fidelity, which is a piss poor excuse since Destiny looks fine on old gen, and doesn't wow me on current gen either. People need to get off their stoned horse and stop acting like you need the best graphics to see a pimple on a Cabal's ass. Minecraft, ugly as sin but sold and played more than almost every other game out there. Dwarf Fortress 2, uses ancient ASCII graphics but has more programming in it than an aerodynamics simulator. I remember when games were nothing but pixels, and then atrocious looking polygonal models were made. Now we have great graphical technology, but none of it gets used in AAA to benefit the gameplay, only to draw in more gamers who don't know how good they really have it. Maybe one day we will have perfect graphics at 240 frames a second and people can focus on the important part of video games. Y'know, the GAMEPLAY?! I'd take Halo 3 graphics if it meant I could board and crash a Fallen Ketch into a nearby ruined city crushing a whole bunch of buildings dynamically, but since graphics matter so much we can just have pretty explosions that do nothing to change the environment or improve the gameplay. Games these days get prettier yet shittier by the year. Will they even be games in the end? Or will they just be slightly interactive 4k 3D movies?

This guy though , appreciate you man

Edytowany przez użytkownika Drengr: 6/14/2016 4:03:24 AMWow, Thank you for this post. Just for starters. As someone who plays on 360, As soon as i heard that last-gen was left behind during the reveal, I didn't even watch any further. Haven't played Destiny since then either. Though my love for this game is very much alive. Seeing the collective bashing of players who play on last-gen consoles and the collective blaming for Destiny being "not as good" as it should be is beyond annoying. As someone who currently can't afford a new console, It's disheartening to hear that Destiny as it stands on 360 will stay the same but will be for the best in end. Just wish they would've committed sooner or once the next iteration of Destiny was released.. Doing it mid-cycle seems so out of bounds and unexpected. Either way, I appreciate Bungie for supporting it for as long as it did as it allowed me have some great experiences that i otherwise wouldn't have. Thank you Bungie.

As someone on last gen. I thank you
