Rise of Iron was planned to be in Vanilla
Releasing the "Plaguelands", the area outside of the cosmodrome wall, will no doubt excite fans of the game. But wasn't it already shown in the vanilla game Vidoc?

Another edit: Bungie also said not so long ago that they wouldn't be selling anymore dlc until the sequel release. Bet you've all forgotten about that though haven't you?

This happens a lot now when big publishers and developers work 'together'. Microsoft does it to 343. Activision does it to Bungie. It's one reason why I find it quite naïve when people blame Bungie for the mishaps of Destiny when they really should be turning their pitchforks to Activision. Big publishers effectively ruin games for profit these days.

BREAKING NEWS!!!! Destiny 2, 3 and 4 cut from vanilla Destiny! Yes, some of the ideas may have been toyed with for the original release, Bungie stated they had a 10 year plan for the game after all. Yes, Dark Below and HoW were likely cut from the original release and sold as DLC's. Now they are dipping into stuff that was discussed and proposed during other development and got placed aside to be used in later updates. Just because the idea was there and there was concept and promo material available doesn't mean that it is cut content.

The plague lands didn't look playable to me. It looked like demo video until the campaign starts at the wall, where it has from day 1. It seems they took concept art and it turned into something playable with RoI. I'm tired of you children whining and complaining about everything all the time. If you feel screwed don't buy the DLC and move on with your life. If you enjoy Destiny then spend $30.00 for the new DLC and keep having fun.

Most games do this now a days. Don't know why this is still surprising to some. We live in an age where we have to buy seasons passes to get DLC for a game that's not even out yet.

A lot of the dlc plot was supposed to be vanilla. Vanilla main plot; You had to retake the warmind rasputen back from the hive from their mother ship the Drednaught
