State of the game: I learned to solo Crota's End because no one wants to play it on the LFG sites.
Seriously Bungie, is this what you intended?
Because you've made the loot totally obsolete, no one wants to do this raid anymore.
Players who do want to play it must resort to cheesing, just to enjoy the content.
Let that sink in.
You must cheat, just to play content you paid for.
Oh, and why am I still playing Crota's End? I still need black hammer. Over 30 normal mode clears, no drop. Working as intended?
So I finally kill scrota after a few tries, bugs, etc. Does it feel epic? Did 3 hours of effort pay off?
No.
I got two -blam!-ing shaders.
It was totally demoralizing. I went above and beyond, worked to overcome the bullshit situation bungle created, got past the bugs and it just made me want to snap the game disc.
Seriously bungie, this experience is all too common.
Repeated disappointment leads to resentment, which leads to players leaving the game.
I think about doing this again, and how bungie DESIGNED the game to be like this ON -blam!-ING PURPOSE (see gambling retention strategies) and I turn the game off in disgust.
This is destiny. Grind, buy microtransactions, endure bugs, use external sites just to build a team, use external browser just to read a shitty chopped up story, and then grind some more.
Be brave, become legend. Become a slavish fanboy.
-blam!- you bungle. You've changed.
No wonder most the player base has left.

1 OdpowiedźI do wish the old raids got an update like POE. Just buff the raid gear and the bosses and let us run VOG and Crota again. One of the reasons they probably havent done this is because theyre worried that people will run all 3 raids and POE all in 1 week and just skyrocket to 335, but maybe they could do a weekly nightfall raid, where each week a different raid is light level 340 and drops up to 350 gear. That would bring new life to old content and give us something else to grind for.

Anybody else thinks that using the swords to cross the bridge is a better mechanic then standing in a plate? Even when I have a full fire team we still cross with the swords. lol

I will have you know that the "cheats" are bungies own fault they are just too lazy to fix them because of crucible when we all know there is no reason to bother with crucible anymore since the prime of destiny it was best time for crucible.. (3 weeks after the game launched)

4 OdpowiedziIf this is bait...well done. If not, I don't even know. I solo hard crota and there is no *cheese* to it. Hunter, bladedancer, don't touch me's, mida. Run full lamps, build bridge and sword down sword bearer, run across, take ogres, move to deathsinger, run in and sleeper stim her, clear ads. For crota, lade dancer, don't touch me's, razelighter. Raze him once and he's down, grab sword, do work, drop sword, melee for invis, rinse and repeat until ol boy drops. BTW.. I thought black hammer was pulled from crotas drop rotation and replaced by black spindle...Maybe I'm wrong? I haven't seen it drop since TTK released. Who knows. Best advice for running crota solo is don't watch these videos of the world record and all that. Take your time and enjoy the raid and find what works best for you. I wish they would bring it up to speed with TTK light levels, but if they don't I'll just keep soloing. Happy hunting.

They need to make the year one raids year two. Simple as that, make the community happy. If u can bring back PoE then why not raids, it's all just loot anyways. Making something I and many others payed for with hard earned money obsolete for some bs reason is seedy and low. This has pissed me off since ttk

Tbh I think bungie has learned from that situation , there's fewer must-have items in y2 that rely on low drop rate rng. The raid weapons in y2 drop at a much greater rate but are also not nearly as powerful. I guess the strike exclusive guns are hard to get now, but none of them are must-have except maybe grasp. The game continues to evolve. I must say that in y1 it was a huge rush when fatebringer, black hammer, gjallarhorn each dropped, because it took so damn long. But there were many nights of frustration on the way. In y2 there's less frustration and also fewer big moments of excitement. Is the trade off worth it? Maybe.

I really really want to do VOG I haven't done it in so long. And I deleted my atheons epilogue and I want to try it in pvp so bad. Now that those type of ARs are good but no one wants too.

I've all but given up getting the vex mytho as no one does hard VoG anymore. It's unfortunately impossible to solo VoG like I did in CE for necrochasm

Liked the HOW idea of ascending items from previous expansions. I hope they do that year 3 and if not I might have to take a year or 2 break
